Apartment in Olhos D'Agua, Nr. Albufeira, Central Algarve - Quiet Yet Central Location, 5 Minutes Walk To The Beach

Clean, light and spacious 4 bedroom apartment with 3 bathrooms arranged over two floors with spiral staircase.

The lower floor has a sitting room, kitchen & two of the bedrooms; the master bedroom, a double with full ensuite bathroom, and a twin bedded room with shower room situated next door. The two bedrooms on the lower level and the sitting room have small balconies and there is a large, quiet terrace by the pool for sunbathing, picnicking and bbq's.

The upper level is reached by spiral staircase and has two very large bedrooms situated in the attic area, each with a roof light window; one bedroom is a double and the other a twin bedded room, sharing a shower room situated between the bedrooms.

A fold out single bed and a baby cot are available if required.

All bedding and towels are included except for beach towels. The bedding & towels will be changed weekly.

The pool area is communal to the apartment block but is not often used by other residents, so you may well have the ample terrace area to yourself. We provide a number of sunbeds for our guests use.

The apartment is only a few minutes walk from the centre of the village with all it's superb restaurants, bars, shops and lovely sandy beach. The fantastic long Falesia beach is only a few minutes further, over the cliff and the pretty Marie Luisa Beach a few minutes in the other direction. There are several golf courses close by. Taxis are always readily available at the taxi ranks in the village & there is a regular bus service to Albufeira & Faro which stops just around the corner.

The location is fairly quiet whilst remaining central to all facilities within easy walking distance.

However, car hire, bicycle hire, buses and taxis are all available close by should they be required.

'Had to write and tell you what a fabulous apartment you have,your apartment surpassed all my expectations, we all kept saying to each other how good it all is, the pool was like having your own personal pool and garden, huge space inside as well and home from home with all the facilities. We had real fun, we hope to be able to be book again in the future. Everything about our holiday was great. Weather was lovely, between about 25 and 30 degrees. Olhos d’Agua is a lovely area and had everything you need, lovely friendly locals and restaurants.'

A great time had by all in a well located, clean, and spacious apartment

I stayed at the property with seven friends and couldn't recommend the experience more. The apartment was as advertised and it was a pleasure to come back to after each day exploring the area.

The owner was ever responsive and helpful in the build-up to the trip and the local contacts she gave us to transfer us to and from the airport were equally friendly and open.

All in all it was a great experience recommended by all members of my group.

Great value, nice accommodation, lovely holiday!

We really enjoyed our stay at Lesley's apartment in Olhos De Agua, we had a great holiday. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for even our party of nine. Though there were only beds for 8, Lesley kindly accommodated with a pull out bed when a ninth person decided to join for a few days. She was kind and helpful while organising, an absolute pleasure to deal with.

The apartment is as listed, and has everything you could possibly need for a holiday. The upstairs rooms were very hot at night time even with the windows open, but there were plenty of fans throughout the apartment to cool us down. The pool is much bigger than it appears in the photos and was lovely to lounge by. We had almost sole use of it most days. There are three bathrooms but we found we could only use two showers at once or water would cut off in the upstairs shower, which was annoying given the amount of people to get ready, but not impossible to work around! Otherwise, the apartment was lovely and clean, and well-maintained.

We visited Villamoura and Albufeira on two separate evenings, and both were about €10 to get to per taxi. Taxis were difficult to come by when we visited, but your best bet was to book in advance or head towards the rank outside the tourist office; we found the rank on the way to the beach almost deserted.

We ended up mostly staying in Olhos De Agua, as it was a lovely town with plenty of good restaurants, and a lovely little beach about a 5-10 minute walk away. A few of us took a trip to stay a few nights in Lisbon, which is about 3 hours away by train and not overly expensive to get to, so that's an option if you're looking to explore the capital city. Some of us also visited nearby waterparks, which were good days out for the kids with us. The local tourist office was helpful in organising some of these trips, and the town is ideally located between all of this, but perfect if you're looking to stay somewhere a little bit quieter.

If we were coming back to the area again, we wouldn't hesitate to stay in Lesley's apartment, or to recommend it to friends. It's great value for what you get and we had a great stay in a lovely town.

Недорогие просторные апартаменты. Все как и было заявлено в описании. Пляж не совсем рядом, но дойти несложно. В 10 мин езды красивейший пляж. С заселением и проживанием нет никаких проблем, сам комплекс аккуратный , людей мало.

The apartment is brilliantly situated for shops/restaurants, easily accessed from the airport and a 10 minute walk to a stetch of beautiful beaches.

The apartment itself was very clean and spacious, with a lovely big pool (which we generally had sole use of!) and BBQ.

We all felt it was exceptional value for money and the owner, Lesley, was very helpful. We hope to return again next year!

We were plesantly surprised at how nice and well equiped the apartment was. It was very large with plenty of space for my family of 5 adults a 3 year old and baby of 9months. Lesley has everything you will ever need to enjoy your stay even down to floats for the gorgeous pool. The apartment was very close to the town of Olhos de agua and as close as some of the hotels in the area. I would defintely recommed to anyone travelling to this area of Portugal.

If you are thinking about booking this property, do it! The photos do not do it justice. It's clean and roomy with 3 good bathrooms which meant that even with 6 adults there in my party, there was plenty of room and no hanging about waiting to get ready.

The kitchen has everything you need although we weren't there to cook. The pool is a really good size and we were there on our own for the most part as the apts were quiet.

The beach and main restaurants were a short walk away and it was nice to stroll out in the evenings and walk off the food (we didn't have a bad meal).

If you have any problems (we had not a single one) the office is 2 minutes away. It is a quiet, quaint resort so if you're wanting a big night out, Alberfuira is a short taxi ride away and only about a tenner to get to. We had a fab night out there. So you have the best of both worlds if your looking for a relaxing and a lively holiday.

The owner, who I arranged the stay with by email, could not have been more friendly or helpful. She felt like a friend by the time we travelled and we loved staying in her lovely apt. and all would like to go back.

It's a beautiful area, close to all the local amenities, but in a quiet location. Lovely beaches only a short walk away, and plenty of great places to eat and drink within a stones throw. Friendly locals and a wonderful atmosphere.

Coast/Beach:

The closest beach is the lovely, sandy beach at Olhos D'Agua a five minute walk down the main street, where you can also watch the little fishing boats coming in.

The beautiful, long & sandy Falesia Beach can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes over the cliffs, or car in about 5 mins.

The pretty Marie Luisa beach is approx 20 min. walk through the village. All the beaches are very clean and have good beach bars and restaurants.

Water sports are available on both Falesia and Marie Luisa.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Faro (FAO), which is about 30 minutes drive away. Transfers can be arranged by owner if required, or car hire company recommended if required, though car hire is by no means essential.

Distances:

Albufeira Old Town is about 5km away, with a shopping mall at Algarve Shopping Centre, Guia, a little further at about 6km. Vilamoura Marina (a must for people watching) is 6km.

There is an excellent market at Quateria about 5km.

There are many organised trips available to Slide & Splash & ZooMarine, or both are within easy driving distance if you hire a car. A day trip to Lisbon is a lovely day out

Visits to the Ancient Hilltop town of Silves, and the Spa at Caldas de Monchique are recommend

Further Details:

Olhos D'Agua is a traditional, working fishing village where you can see the catch arrive on the beach each day. It has many attractive old buildings and retains a village charm, whilst being well served for reasonably priced supermarkets, it also has a clean & reliable municipal market selling fresh fish, meat, fruit & vegetables and a bakery. There is a post office, wine store, pharmacy, bank, lots of very good restaurants, bars & shops all within easy walking distance. There is even a small night club, though the nightlife is livelier at the Strip in Albufeira, a short taxi ride away.

There is also a medical centre & holistic therapy clinic should they be required.

Car, bike & quad bike hire is available in the village and many excursions can be booked in the local shops and pick-ups arranged at a very convenient location.

Infact all you need for a great holiday is on your doorstep!

Everything you could need is close by but does not spoil the beauty and ambience of the place. The big towns are only a short bus ride away so the village is relatively quiet. Though the apartment shares a pool with the whole building it is rare to see any of the other residents using the pool. Both pool & gardens are well maintained, clean and attractive. The pool area is well screened and allows you to feel completely private. It is possible to bbq on the pool terrace if required, on the understanding that the area is completely cleared & cleaned up afterwards. Failure to do so could jepordise your security deposit. The exterior of the building was totally repainted during 2010 to ensure that it is kept in tiptop condition.
