Nice cottage

  • 4 of 5

Good location, however trying to exit onto the road is a big issue, the car has a large bonnet and found that I was having to reverse back into the drive as I would have caused an accident as it's a 50mph limit but it looked like no one stuck to it!

The cottage was comfortable, but some thought should be given to the kitchen, you cannot fry an egg in the frying pan unless you like a new variation on scrambled eggs, the use of space is insufficient in my opinion as I ran out of work surface and storage area, that will probably stop me wanting to cook..

My biggest concern was how to get my mother to and from the cottage from where you can park your car. She is very bad on her legs and anything over moving from one room to another she requires a wheelchair. It is impossible to push a wheelchair along the path as it is large shingle, it's not much better trying to pull it, so it took approximately 8 minutes to get between the two. It would be nice if the path way could be made wider so that you could drive the vehicle further towards the cottage or make the surface more suitable for wheelchair users.
