This 3 storey end townhouse offers ample space for a large family or 2 families/group of friends wishing to holiday together. Easy residents only parking, and set back from the beach front. South facing over the bay it enjoys the sun all day. Swim in the sheltered waters of the bay, enjoy a dip in the pool, or just relax and watch the setting sun from one of the 4 front balconies. Ideally located you won't need to drive off anywhere to enjoy a variety of cafes, restaurants and bars. WIFI in house. We have been married for over 25 years, have 3 children, and a grandson. We live in a village in North Yorkshire England. I enjoy fishing especially out at sea on the boats, golfing and being out doors as much as possible. Alison enjoys swimming, eating out, and watching Leeds Utd, her favourite football team. We both enjoy holidaying abroad especially in Portugal and Greece.

"The house really was beyond our expectation and your ad and pictures on the Owners Direct site just don't do it justice We really did enjoy every aspect of the house and its superbly quiet surroundings. Furnishings facility's size were all excellent as is its location. I really can't think of anything that you could add to the property that would add to the enjoyment of a family large or small staying there. Very often when on holiday we have found ourselves having to eat out every evening because promised facilities have not been up to scratch but with the local market, bakers and butchers being a stroll away an evening in is a pleasure. Overall the house, it's size facilities comfort and surroundings gave us a very enjoyable 10 days thank you!" The Bates family Coventry.

Spacious and welcoming house i

Lovely place to spend a family holiday. The house is spacious and well equipped with the town within easy walking distance and beach with great restaurants and cafes nearby. Tony and Alison were very friendly and helpful providing useful information on everything we needed to know about the house and locality. We would highly recommend this property.

Spacious Property in Great Location

Great spacious property, 2 families could easily stay here without getting on top of each other. We went with our Son, Daughter and Grandson, and there was plenty of space. Well equipped kitchen, TV, DVDs, BBQ. Excellent location, easy walking distance to lovely sandy beach (Atlantic Ocean - so Sea cold!!) and great restaurants and bars. Alison and Tony (Owners) always quick to come back with answers to any questions. The one and only downfall was the Pool doesn't open until 1st June, apart from that all was excellent, and definitely would recommend. We hope to go back at the end of the summer,

Great location

After following useful directions provided by the owners, we stayed in this very clean, comfortable house for 6 nights in January. The weather was 'bracing' so we were very grateful for the full central heating. The location is great - a few minutes' walk to the market, a minute to the old part of town and the lift which takes you to the lovely bay and a large number of cafes and restaurants. The house is designed in such a way that it could accommodate a large family with a downstairs 'flat' for teenagers or grandparents - lots of space for everyone. Great place for winter beach walks.

A very enjoyable two weeks. The house was well equipped with everything one would need and very clean. The mid-stay clean was carefully and efficiently done. An easy walk to the beach and the numerous pubs and restaurants. The two "new to Portugal" ladies in our group are already discussing a return visit. All in all a great place to stay and very much recommended. Art

Nice house

This is a great house very comfy and as well equipped as would be your own house! We had a lovely stay. The listing description on the website is totally accurate and so are the pics. So no bad surprises when discovering the house and surroundings. Easy deal with owners.

Sao Martinho is a lovely typical Portuguese village on its high part. It's really nice to enjoy a walk through little cobblestone streets down the seafront or to the daily market. We appreciated easy parking in the cul-de-sac where the house is located, especially during august peak period! This house is a good starting point to discover the lovely region, villages and beaches.

Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour dans cette grande maison.

Elle correspond parfaitement à la description faite sur le site, donc pas de mauvaises suprises. Elle est super bien équipée, comme si c'était votre propore maison, ce qui est très appréciable. Elle est très bien située dans la partie semi haute du village typique Portugais et à seulement quelques agréables minutes de marche du front de mer avec les cafés et rastaurants ou bien du marché dans le village.

Nous avons passés 15 jours très agréables et cette région du Portugal est très jolie. Lisbonne n'est qu'à 1 heure en voiture de la location et très facile d'accès !

Town House - Sao Martinho do Porto

We had a lovely stay in this town house in Portugal. Wonderfully large for us all to stay in! Plenty of room with 2 bathrooms, and a guest toilet, so no one had to wait! Very quiet area. Only 5 mins to beach, the bay was lovely to swim in. Weather was fab all week, couldn't wish for a better holiday. Owners very easy to deal with. Would give the whole experience 10/10. Highly recommend this house and holiday.

We fell in love with the Siver Coast and found Sao Martinho to offer everything we needed. A safe bay, friendly people, and so much to see and do within the surrounding area. We wanted something modern and spacious which we could enjoy with all our family and friends.

Nearest Airport : Lisbon at 90 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : at 200 Metres Nearest Golf : Praia Del Rey at 32 Kilometres Nearest Train : at 1 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : at 200 Metres Nearest Beach : Sao Martinho at 400 Metres Car: recommended


The safe sheltered beach of Sao Martinho, is only a few minutes stroll away. Salir Do Porto 5 minutes drive the other side of the bay, with seasonal public pool. Foz do Arelho and Obidos lagoon are only ten minutes drive south. Nazare beach with its water sports and nightlife is only 20 minutes drive north.


Lisbon Airport 1 hours drive up the A8 motorway. Easy jet direct from Luton, Liverpool, Gatwick, Bristol and Edinburgh. Ryan Air from Stanstead. TAP from London and Manchester, British Airways from London airports. Aer Lingus from Dublin and Cork. Oporto Airport just over 2 hours drive by motorway. Faro approximately 3.5 hours drive. Car hire recommended to explore the area, although there are both train and direct bus links to Sao Martinho. Taxi services can be arranged if required.


Obidos, a beautiful medieval walled town is 20 minutes by car.

Foz do Arelho and Obidos lagoon is 10 minutes by car.

Nazare town, beach, watersports, Aqua Park, new medium sized supermarket 20 minutes by car. Caldas da Rainha, main town for shopping, 20 minutes by car. Lisbon, the lively capital of Portugal, events, shopping etc. 1 hour by car. Peniche, largest fishing port in the area, great surfing plus Aqua park 30 mins by car. Alcobaca Abbey with tombs of King Pedro 1, 30 minutes by car.

Further Details:

Sao Martinho has numerous shops, restaurants cafes (some with internet) and bars. Internet also available at Tourist Information Centre. Also a daily market, supermarkets, banks and medical centre. Very welcoming Catholic church 5 minutes walk. Fishing locally from beaches rock marks and boats. Renowned surfing beaches along the coast, surf school at Peniche. Sailing and Windsurfing at Obidos lagoon. Discos in both Sao Martinho and Foz 10 minutes drive away.

The house is ideally located in a quiet residential area. We wanted to be able to walk to the beach, shops and restaurants within a couple of minutes without having to rely on the car. Being split over 3 floors and having 2 lounge areas allows everyone to have their own space, which is important when you are holidaying as groups. Our property manager who lives locally, is always available to help and advise our guests and has a wealth of information about the area.

  • Notes on accommodation: The ground floor with its own bathroom, lounge and bedroom provides the perfect answer for those older children or second family wishing to have their own space. The property being fully centrally heated is an ideal get away for the winter. We also provide child gates, a cot and high chair as well as plastic cups and plates for the little ones. There is also a safety box in the house for valuables. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors fitted on each floor as well as fire extinguisher and fire blanket. Outside: 4 private south facing balconies and enclosed lawned area to the front of the property, rear and side patio with furniture and built in barbecue. Residents only pool with terrace, loungers, tables and benches, (pool open between 1 June and 30 September). Utility Room: Washing machine, ironing board and iron, clothes dryer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen included, changed weekly, basic mid stay clean for guests staying more than 7 nights. (Please bring your own beach towels). Additional linen changes and cleaning can be arranged with our agent at local rate if required. Other: Covered outside barbeque room with built in barbecue and sink.
