This spacious, bright, fully furnished and equipped to a high standard apartment with WiFi is situated in an ideal location within this purpose built upmarket development with private rear garden facing West for great sunsets and overlooking the pools and recreational facilities. Air conditioned/heated throughout with private garden and terrace accessed from lounge. At Oasis Parque the large indoor pool and Jacuzzi (heated in winter) and outdoor pools, tennis courts and children's play area have secure access and is maintained to a high standard. Alvor is a small traditional fishing town in which there are many excellent bars and good value restaurants with local and international cuisine. Alvor beaches are superb with numerous delicious fish restaurants and Portimao marina and Praia da Rocha is also within a few minutes drive. There are also numerous superb golf courses within a few minutes drive of the development.

a home away from home

We stayed at this apartment with our two toddlers for the first week of October. It is really a home away from home - all of the home comforts you need in the Portuguese sunshine. The apartment is really well presented, in a very safe and pleasant surroundings. The beaches at Alvor are about 10 mins drive away, and the shops in Portimao are about 3 minutes drive. Highly recommended for families or couples.

From the Owner

We had had previous holidays in this location and loved it so much we decided to buy a property! We have visited lots of resorts in the Algarve and found that the western Algarve in particular was more family friendly and unspoilt than some of the more central resorts. It has several things that appeals to us, the weather, lots of choice of restaurants and cafes and a good choice of beaches all within a few minutes drive and the golf courses. We also liked the fact that it is well served by several airlines all year round to Faro. Also you can visit different locations very easily we particularly like: Alvor, Praia da Rocha, Lagos and Carvoeiro each with its own merits.

Activity and Interests


There is choice of beautiful beaches from wide stretches of sand to small coves surrounded by cliffs within 10 mins drive at Alvor. Others close by are Praia da Rocha and Praia do Vau. The local coastline is spectacular and offers some of the best cliff walks in the Algarve with stunning views. Slide and splash waterpark is 15 mins drive near Lagoa.


With completion of the new motorway, Faro Airport is now only 45 mins drive. Lisbon airport is approx 2.5 hours away.


Within walking distance from Oasis Parque are a few friendly local bars and restaurants and a large supermarket. Alvor and Praia da Rocha about 5km away. Portimao Centro is approx 4km away with an extensive range of boutiques etc. The town of Lagos and its new marina are a 15-20 mins drive to the West. A visit to the historic town of Silves, about 30mins away is highly recommended as is a drive up to the mountain spa town of Monchique.

Oasis Parque is unique in the sense that it is a country club with excellent facilities and well maintained grounds and properties, yet within easy reach of various attractions and resorts. We visit our property on a regular basis to ensure it is well maintained and is kept to a high standard. We provide tennis rackets and lots of things for the beach and for those with children we have a travel cot, a booster seat, bottle steriliser and a high chair. The apartment is situated close to the swimming pool and is handy for the cafe but still maintains privacy. We have had plenty of positive feedback and have some clients that come back year after year.
