Apartment in Benalmadena, Costa del Sol - Five Minute Walk To Beach - With Delightful Views From The Lovely Terrace of Mountains and Sea

Great 2 bedroom apartment on superb complex with 4 outdoor pools including children's pools, restuarant, poolside and lounge bar for evening entertainment, and kids club for daytime entertainment (approx 2 hours per days - from 6 years during school holidays in summer). There is also an indoor pool and jacuzzi, great for use during the winter months. The complex is located 5 mins from the beach, and just 2 mins from shops, bars and restaurants. Walking distance to all attractions including the Dolphin Selwo Show(10 mins), excellent free park with animals, swings and slides(10 mins) Tivoli World Amusement Park (15 mins), cable car into mountains(15 mins). Local town of Arroyo is a 20 minute walk which has a great selection of shops and restaurants and a fantastic fast train service which connects directly with the airport and costs approx two euros to airport. Local Buses also run from the beach front. A walk to the marina is a pleasant stroll along beach walkway takes 20 - 30 mins.

Benalmadena. We were all extremely pleased with the accommodation. It was just a perfect size for our party.

We always managed to get a sun bed no matter what time of day we went down to the pool!

The weather was absolutely fantastic as well, although I did manage to get sunburnt on my first day whilst walking along the beach!

We would certainly make use of your apartment in future and would recommend it to anyone. Once again thanks for the use of it.

great apartment

We stayed in this apartment over two years ago and we have just recently had friends -go who loved it too - which has made us book again for this summer. It is a fab place to stay close enough to everything yet still calm and relaxing enough to switch off. Benalmadena has so much to do. Our kids loved the entertainement at the complex and we really enjoyed getting them to bed in the evenings and sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine and a takeaway. Looking forward to going back.

Fab Apartment Benalmadena

Description of the apartment was spot on Debra + Martyn gave us spot on instructions on how to get to there apartment as we were planning on getting the train as we got off the plane. Train station is right across the road from the airport. 3 euro's each. From day 1 everyone was so helpful even at the ticket machine @ the train station. We then found the apartment no problem 20 minute walk from the train station. On arrival we had to ring margaret who then took us in to the apartment and showed us around and gave us 2 card keys for the acess in/out of clubhouse and access to the roof terrace. These keys caused a few problems (Dont blame anyone) We went to the roof terrace but could not get any were to sit so decided to go back the pool but the card would not work in the gate so we asked the life guard could he let us out with his key but he couldnt leave the pool so we stood at the gate waiting for 20 minutes for someone to come to let us out who had a key. We never bothered trying the roof terrace again. We had to get the key card re-charged 5 times while there if they didnt work it does cause a problem. Not owners fault as the whole complex is the same. The staff at the clubhouse are brilliant and the food is fab. The waiter couldnt do enought to help so because of the service we ate dinner there most day's. The pool was fab as well really warm. We hit lucky for the weather as well. The marina is a MUST. There is plenty to do you would never get lost for places to see. My only 1 thing i would say is the traffic outside the apartment is really loud but we only noticed when we went back in the evening to get ready to go out if the patio doors open you cannot hear the tele but this is only small thing as we dont really go on holiday to watch TV usually but as weather was so hot we had to get out of the heat for a few hours. Its 1 euro for 3 hours of air conditioning so because of heat we used about 15 euros for the whole week. Overall we would staff here again for sure.

Owner's Response: It is always great to hear that people enjoyed the apartment, as it is such a great place to stay and we love being there ourselves. I think it is important that I respond to the comment about the road. The road is a small turning into and out of the complex. It is not a main road and there is rarely a lot of traffic, so I am surprised about the comment of noise from the road. Most people tend to say that they love sitting and relaxing on the terrace - which wouldn't be the case if it was a noisy road. Should anyone have any concerns about this I would suggest they call us to discuss and we can explain in further detail.

Great apartment for a family holiday!

Just come back from two weeks in this lovely apartment. Our family consists of two adults and three kids aged 12, 9 & 5. The apartment had everything we needed and is just over the road from the main complex where there is a big pool and plenty of space to catch the rays! The big bonus was the fact that the complex employ a kids entertainer who kept my younger children busy allowing us to relax! The supermarket is less than 2 minutes walk, the beach 5 minutes walk away and 15 minutes away from lots of bars & restaurants. Ideal location for anyone with a young family, I'd strongly recommend it!

Perfect for families

We have just returned from a week away at this villa, it was absolutely perfect for us, we have a 2 1/2 year old who absolutely loved it. The apartment was clean and we'll maintained, just a short walk to the 2 main pools which includes a fantastic toddler pool. My advice would be to use sam s bar for food and refreshment as they were so much more welcoming than the clubhouse. Close to the beach, shops and restaurants we couldn't of asked for more. We would seriously think about going back (and we never do that).

Great Apartment on the Costa Del Sol

A big thanks for helping us organise the break in the sun for our family.

The pool and other facilities at Pueblo Evita were excellent - the kids had great fun. And the apartment is so well placed for access to the beach, shops and restaurants of Benalmadena. The terrace was just fantastic - the perfect place to sit and relax, we found it really quiet and peaceful.

The tips and advice that you gave us regarding where to go and what to see in the wider area really made it a fun-packed few days.

We look forward to visiting again next year.

Benalmadena Apartment complex

I was initially impressed at the location of the apartment which was separate to the main complex which was across the road.

The terrace was lovely with a large table and chairs and a sofa which was ideal for lying in the lovely sun that I had during my stay. However, the road proved to be really noisy with traffic, and as it was low season, I imagine that high season would be much worse. In addition, the apartment was on the ground floor which meant that every time someone entered the gate they could be heard walking up the steps. Again, as it was low season, it was tolerable but I imagine in high season that this could be a problem.

The apartment was as described on the website and was quite comfortable. I found the sofas (which are sofa beds) too low to watch the TV comfortably.

The kitchenette was well equipped although there is no oven. I couldn't get the grill machine that was provided to work so I managed with the hob.

The bedrooms were very nice with plenty of wardrobe space. The beds were extremely comfortable. Neighbour noise - mainly a woman in high heels above - meant that I swapped bedrooms to avoid the interference.

The bathroom was lovely with lots of hot water, a bath and shower.

Although I was told by the key holder that the swipe cards for the complex allowed me to get into the area and use the facilities, they did not work which was embarassing. I had to ask someone to let me in and out and on one occasion actually got locked in because there was no one there with a swipe card.

It was quiet at the complex. The cafe was only open once during my stay. There were repair works taking place which meant I could not enjoy the outside area at all. The pool was also closed.

I know it was low season but it was disappointing not to be able to use the facilities that are advertised on the site.

Overall I was a little disappointed with the visit.

Owner's Response: There are many positive comments within this review and so we are surprised that we have only been give 2 stars out of 5. We have owned this apartment for 11 years and advertised with Owners Direct for a large proportion of that time. We have many happy repeat customers. This is the first time anybody has ever mentioned noise from the road which is a small turning and rarely ever used by tourists. It is the location of the apartment and size of the terrace that many guests comment positively on too, as it is so near everything yet so relaxing and peaceful. The other negative comments on this review are trivial such as the swipe card not working – this could easily have been resolved simply by popping into reception and asking them to recharge it – as happens in many hotels and apartments. Sadly this person never took the time to discuss any of these issues with us, as we would have been delighted to have resolved their concerns whilst in resort so they could have enjoyed their holiday.

Activity and Interests


A five minute walk will take you to the beachfront where you will find many beach shops and places to eat. Sunbeds and umbrellas can be hired on the beach. There is a lovely walkway which you can follow along to the marina in around 20 minutes and is lined with some traditional fish restuarants. There are some lovely beach bars here too.


Malaga Airport is a twenty minute transfer by taxi and costs around 25 euros one way. There is an excellent state-of-the-art-train that runs along the coast from Malaga airport it is easy to use and very popular with holidaymakers and costs 1.80 euro from airport to Arroya de la Miel / Benalmadena, which is 5 minute taxi journey from the aparment and costs 6 Euros.


The beach is approx a five minutes walk and the delights of Tivoli Amusement park, Paloma Park, and Dolphin Selwo Show are approximately ten minutes walk. Visiting Benalmadena marina is a must - a relaxing stroll along the beachfront promenade will take approx twenty minutes. The Spanish town of Arroya De La Miel is a similar distance and a great place for pavement cafes, tapas bars and shopping. Close by - approx three minutes away is Palm Tree Avenue which has a great selection of restaurants.

Further Details:

There are plenty of banks (nearest 3 minutes from complex), supermarkets (nearest around 2 minutes from complex) bars and restuarants in Benalmadena. The best shopping tends to be in Arroya De Miel, alternatively a bus ride to Torromolinos will delight with its vast selection of shoe shops. The coast itself is a playground full of fun things to do, plenty of beaches, water parks and activities for the kids, boundless amounts of culture and history. There are stylish marinas, great restaurants, fantastic shopping and excellent nightlife. The choice between action and relaxation is yours. This coast really does have something to suit every one?

Travelling along the coast is easy with an excellent network of buses and a state-of- the-art-train from Malaga airport along the coast as far as Fuengirola. If you prefer car hire then this is competitive and low cost, alternatively there are plenty of excursions with countless places to visit.

Inland are the pretty white Andalucian villages including the hill top town of Mijas; further afield but easily accessible are the beautiful cities of Seville and Granada. If it is glamour you're after, Puerto Banus and Marbella will not disappoint and the marina at Benalmandena is a must for its sophistication With its many restaurants, bars and nightclubs with golf courses in abundance, countless entertainment parks and fun things for the kids to do you really can find something to please everyone. With its all year round climate it means that the resort doesn't close down in winters therefore making it a perfect winter destination too. This excellent resort does have it all (even an ice skating rink!), that a two week break really doesn't do it justice, which is probably why so many people return or that it is very popular with the long stay winter guests.

  • Notes on accommodation: This lovely apartment offers everything that you need for a relaxing holiday in the sun and is equally popular as a long stay let in winter. The air conditioning or heating is operated by a control panel in the lounge, it costs approximately one euro for three hours and is paid via a coin slot mechanism. During winter months there is also plug in heater too. Both of the bedrooms are nicely decorated and spacious with room for a cot if need be. There is plenty of wardrobe space and ceiling fans in both bedrooms. The apartment block is in a great spot on the complex, located on the ground level (some of the blocks are set far back and fairly high up) and the actual apartment is on the ground level too although the ground level is just slightly elevated. The apartment block is very attractive and is accessed by steps or a ramp for wheeling suitcases up. The complex has an excellent reputation with well managed facilities and is situated in a great location. We have many repeat guests. Outside: There is a terrace which has a table and chairs for dinning and a sofa to relax on. There is also a light on the terrace which makes outside dinning easy. Many guests comment on this lovely comfortable terrace which offers a great space to enjoy the pretty views. The apartment is located on a modern complex five minutes from the beach. The complex has four swimming pools including a childrens pools. The complex also has a restaurant and bar with evening entertainment. There also is an indoor pool and jacuzzi. During the summer months in school holidays there is a free kids club for over six year old for approx two hours per day and table tennis. There is a mini market for all your essentials, however a very large supermarket is located just across the road from complex. There is a fully serviced reception where you can pick up bus and train timetables and book excursions. They can also book taxis and answer any questions that you may have on the local area. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment is cleaned on arrival with clean towels and linen provided. Other: The terrace has a table and chairs and a sofa to relax on. There is also a light on the terrace. It has both sun and shade consistently throughout the day making it popular with sun worshippers and families alike who require adequate shade for children.
