The villa is tastefully fully furnished throughout and has pleasant living and dining areas. Notes on accommodation: The villa is an ideal family holiday property as it is very close to the beach and town, surfing school, golf and tennis facilities in Oliva. It is in a tranquil location in the orange groves near the beach and is all on one level with a beautiful mature garden and paved terraces so ideal for children and elderly alike. Outside: Big barbecue and terrace area. Second terrace (with electric blinds) from glass sliding doors of the villa with 2 dining tables, large private pool, 8.4m x 4.4m. Mature, completely private garden with palm trees, banana, grapefruit and lemon trees, grass area. Views of the mountains and orange groves. Utility Room: Washing machine, iron and ironing board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen and bathroom/hand towels are included (not beach towels). Once a week linen change and pool cleaning included in price. Property cleaned before and after arrival. Other: Large dining terrace off side of villa with big glass table and chairs. Beautiful for sunny breakfasts, long lunches and for watching the sun go down.

A lovely relaxing base from which to explore

Luis and Hermione's villa is in a great location a couple of minutes drive from the beach (20 mins walk approx) or the town and there are many places to visit within an easy drive of Oliva. The villa itself is clean, comfortable and very private surrounded by a lovely garden. The pool was great fun and gets the sun on it all day so is never cold. The villa is very well appointed and outside there is plenty of space for sitting in the shade or sunbathing. Luis and his family were lovely hosts, very thoughtful and helpful and I would definitely recommend this property for anyone wishing to stay in this area of Spain.

Luis was extremely helpful upon arrival. The villa was clean and tidy but unfortunately too hot with no air con in August. We were also plagued by mosquitoes. The villa is set in orange groves, no views so if you are after total seclusion that's fine. Too far from the local town for us. Unfortunately we had problems locking doors as the window locks were broken - no good with young kids. Pool wasn't very clean either. Oliva is very disappointing not to mention ladies along the main road - not nice with young children.

Owner's Response: These guests, couple and 4 children were not forthcoming with arrival information until 24 hrs before arrival when we found out they would not get to Oliva before 11pm requiring food. We provided and charged for lavish full English, including real Canadian bacon, A total lack of communication before their arrival may have contributed to their disappointment. Nowhere do we mention A/C and yes, Oliva is hot in August. The house is well equipped with a big ceiling fan in the lounge an individual ones in each room which seem to have sufficed all our previous guests,Again, the location is ideal, secluded but walking distance to beach an town. There are lovely views of mountains from the terraces. Next days after arrival, there was a barrage of questions, fine but no sign of discontent. Locks work fine but because little attention was paid at arrival, they missed the part about the electric shutters being remote controlled. Again, not a peep. We are sorry you didn't enjoy your stay, but you can see from other reviews that we bend over backwards to please our guests. I can only suggest a bit more communication through the booking process to avoid further disappointment.

Property & location far exceeds any written description, property was clean and tidy and we had an amazing welcome from Luis on arrival, and when the kettle failed Luis had it replaced within 30 mins. If you want a relaxing break, you have to look no further.. we are back later in the year

Peaceful and private.

Absolutely wonderful.....

Thank you Luis and Hermione - we had a really fantastic holiday in August & highly recommend your villa to anyone looking to stay in Oliva. Luis was very friendly and helpful and met us at the off ramp to Oliva to guide us to the house. It is tucked away in the orange groves but easy enough to get to town and the beach once you know the route. The house was perfect for us as we have 2 young kids, one of whom has just learnt to swim unaided so we wanted to be able to see the pool at all times, which you can here. The layout of the house worked exceptionally well for us too, the kids were down one end and we were at the other end. There is a lovely new gas BBQ and the kitchen is well equipped. The house is private, spacious and clean and the internet/wifi worked well. There are plenty of supermarkets and beaches very nearby. All round it was the perfect family holiday home and we would not hesitate to recommend it to others. Thank you both so much and and we hope to see you again in the future. Oliva beaches are all EU certified blue flag for their cleanliness and beauty. The beaches are generally backed by dunes and unspoilt. The sand stretches as far as the eye can see and access is unrestricted. The area around Oliva remains largely unspoilt by large scale buildings. Yet, if you wish to sample the tourist attractions of the Costa Blanca, Benidorm can be reached in just over 30 minutes by car where there is the largest water park in the district and other major attractions.


Valencia airport 40 minutes on toll road. Alicante 55 minutes drive. Denia port 20 minutes drive. Oliva marina 5 minutes drive. Tennis Club and Golf course 5 minutes drive.

Beach and Oliva town both 2 minutes drive or 15 minute walk. Car recommended, private parking at the villa for 2 cars.

Nearby attractions may be found. Valencia is a must see with its renowned City of Sciences as well as the host for Formula 1 and Motor GP races & America's Cup.


The villa is situated behind the typically Spanish town of Oliva at the southern end of the Costa del Azahar and it is reached by a very short 2-3 minute drive through the orange groves. The town provides ample shopping facilities including numerous bars and restaurants. There is also a weekly market which is held on Fridays.
