Can Domingo is a Villa 5 min walk from Soller Centre, with its spectacular views over the mountains and Soller town, it's a perfect place for a quiet holiday. Has lovely murals and paintings by local artist. Swimming pool and large terrace surrounded by orange and lemon trees is the perfect setting. The upper floor has large terrace and swimming pool with views over the Soller Valley and Tramontana mountains. Swimming pool is 7.5 x 4 meters, shallow end 1 metre deep end 2.10m. Swimming pool and garden area is completely private. There are orange and lemon trees in the garden, you are free to pick any available fruit for your use. Open log fire in sitting room and gas/electric heating for winter months. WIFI.

On arrival at villa, we just could not believe how breathtaking the views were, the accommodation just perfect. We spent the rest of the day with permanent smiles, what a gem of a place we had uncovered. The level of equipment in property, a real home from home, excellent. The pool, just right for us, the shallow end great for the non swimmers, the deeper end great for the more adventurous. Garden was lovely, fresh lemons and oranges, and free to help yourself. There was a great choice of places to chill, great sun trap for the sunlovers, but more than enough shade for the more sensitive skin. The views whilst swimming in the pool, breathtaking.

We chose not to hire a car on this holiday. The location is very central, with a good bus service right on your doorstep. The beautiful town of Soller, just a few minutes walk away from property. Could go on and on, but still not give this holiday the justice it deserves, we are so depressed to be back home.

This was, we think, our thirteenth visit to Can Domingo. Why keep going back to the same place when there are so many places to explore? Easy: this place has all we want. The building itself is great - an upside-down house, with a fantastic lounge on top with views across the entire Soller basin, going straight out the back to the terrace and garden, with pool. You can lay in the pool gazing at the mountains or the stars. Pick lemons and oranges as needed, barbecue fresh fish from the supermarket and then eat them under the terrace roof.

Three bedrooms are cool and airy, being down below, with two bathrooms between them. The master bedroom is at lounge level, with its own bathroom.

The kitchen, also on the terrace level, looks out over the pool so you can do sociable cooking.

Right at the bottom of the house is the garage. Driving the car off or onto the main road from the lane leading to the house requires concentration, but I've got the hang of it now!

The town square is about ten minutes walk from the house, so desert in the evenings is usually a stroll to one of the excellent ice cream shops.

It's all looked after by Liz, who greets you and comes to see you off, and is always available at the end of the phone. She'll give advice on restaurants, boat trips, and the best G&T in town (Union Bar, also about the closest bar to the house!) She also ensures that the place is really clean on your arrival.

Soller is a great little town with good shops and restaurants. It's worth exploring the streets around. A trip to Port Soller on the old-style tram is a must, but perhaps not too often as it's pretty expensive. You can walk there from the house along tracks and very quiet roads in about 45 minutes, and taxis are very reasonable indeed. A wild west train from Soller to Bunyola, or on to Palma is also a must, the stretch to Bunyola being the most exciting.

But Soller is probably most desirable for its walking opportunities. Take the bus or a taxi to Cuber Reservoir and walk back to Soller via the Baranca, a spectacular gorge with amazing rock formations - and almost all downhill! Walk to Cala Tuente and catch the ferry back - fabulous. Walk to Deia and bus back - don't miss orange juice and fab cake at Can Mico on the way.

Can Domingo is a wonderful base for the whole caboodle. I'm tempted not to submit this review because I want to make sure its always available for our next booking, but share and share alike, I guess!

Price is for 2 persons each extra person 20 Euros per night.
A Booking Deposit of 30% is payable on reservation, with the remaining balance paid in cash in Euros on arrival. All deposits are non-returnable.
