Guestbook comments from the owner

Date of stay: April 2014: We have really enjoyed our time in Moraira & Casa Bonita. In the pool every day (to the amazement of the locals!). Driving through the Jalon valley & up into the mountains is a must if you have a car. We would love to return. Many thanks Liz.

Date of Stay: July 2013. Superb! The villa has everything you need and want. The villa exceeded all expectations and a great holiday was had by all. All the essentials are provided and much much more. We particularly liked the outdoor cooking area. The villa was cool and provided a perfect base. Booking was very simple and it was nice to be provided with guides etc of the local area to plan activities. We will be going back!!!

"Easy-going, relaxed break" Date of Stay:June 2011. The house is light and airy, and in the only external sounds we heard were the palm trees swishing in the wind. Perfect for our requirements - a week of relaxing, reading and soaking up some warmth. Excellent outdoor eating facilities, and a great view from the pool area so we ate every meal outside.

WONDERFUL VILLA Date of stay May 2011 WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY AT CASA BONITA IT WAS IN A LOVELY POSITION . LOVELY LIGHT AND SPACIOUS ROOMS VERY NICE OUTSIDE AREA AND LIZ HAS PROVIDED EVERYTHING ONE WOULD NEED

Fantastic getaway villa holiday

  • 5 of 5

This is a fantastic getaway holiday villa. Set up on the hill overlooking the lovely un-spoilt Moraira town. There are no high-rise buildings anywhere to be seen and you have a great view down the hill and to the sea. As others have said it has everything you could wish for, from your own private swimming pool & outdoor summer kitchen to spacious modern living areas and bedrooms, all with on-suite bathrooms.

This was the perfect holiday retreat for me and my family of 6 adults and 8 month old grandchild. The location is very quiet and relaxing with no traffic noise to disturb you day or night. There is a local supermarket and bar 5 minutes walk around the corner or its a 5 minute drive down into Moraira for all the cafes, bars and shops. Moraira has a lovely beach and the whole place feels up market and safe (not a football shirt to be seen!)

The villa owner Liz could have not been more helpful. Liz supplied us with all the Information and advice we needed and made the whole experience worry free.

This is a superb Villa in a wonderfull location and we realy hope to go back again soon.

Villa lovely and spacious with fantastic sea views

  • 4 of 5

Villa situated just a little way from Moraira town, great location, with great sea views. Nice and quiet.

Villa spacious and clean, with all the equipment and utensils you needed. Also a good sized pool..

There is a little pub in walking distance called the Bariloche, and opposite a lovely Asian restaurant.

Owner gave us all the information we needed and advice about car hire, very helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Perfect base for Moraira villa holiday

  • 5 of 5

Lovely well maintained villa, with views over the coast as well as to inland mountainous areas. Spacious pool area. Pool is quite deep at the shallow end so children under the age of about 7 need adult supervision. Villa is in a convenient location for access to a number of good supermarkets and for access to Moraira town centre (as well as Teluda). Also good access to the various Moraira beaches and to local shops (small supermarket, newsagents, bakery/café etc...

Don't want to say too much more in case we can't book it for next year!

Owner's Response: Another positive point regarding our location ... Is the peace & quiet. The 8 metre X 4 metre pool is 1 metre deep at shallow end increasing to 2 metres at the deep end.

Casa Bonita es muy bien!

  • 5 of 5

Just returned after a fantasic week in Casa Bonita, Moraira Private Villas We could not fault the villa and would love to return in future. The villa was well placed for touring the Costa Blanca or just chilling around the pool. The villa has everything you need and is very spacious with fantastic sea views. It offers great value too as it very comfortably accomodates 3 couples each room having own bathroom facilities.

Hired a car from Caronline Rent A Car ( Moraira ) who were excellent and very competitively priced. Also used Snakebike mountain biking who were brilliant. Great communication from Villa owner Liz. Overall 10 out of 10!

Casa Bonita, Moriara

  • 5 of 5

Just back from our 2nd visit, the Villa is like a home from home, the owners gave thought of everything. We loved all the new renovations which include an extended pool terrace and new driveway/car port, such a fabulous family holiday. Moriara it's self is a fab peaceful town with plenty bars n restaurants to suit everyone. We hope to return again in the future.

Owner's Response: Wonderful to hear that all our renovations are a success! We especially like the extended pool terrace & the ability to park the cars in the shade ... & the 3rd ensuite is a bonus, we think.

Location

From the Owner

Moraira is a beautiful small resort town with no package tourism at all! There are just a few small hotels. Originally a fishing village, Moraira is surrounded by white-washed villas nestling in the pine clad foothills of the Marina Alta mountains & overlooking fine sandy beaches, calm seas & rocky coves. The area is designated as a conservation zone of extraordinary beauty, where height and density of buildings are strictly controlled. The village itself with its picturesque marina and daily fish market, quaint churches, squares and back streets bursting with shops, bars, wonderful restaurants and markets still retaining their Spanish character are just some of the many reasons why so many people choose to settle in this area.

Moraira:

Moraira is ideally situated in a bay on the Northern Costa Blanca coast between the resorts of Javea and Calpe, approximately 50 miles north of Alicante and 70 miles south of Valencia airports, with excellent motorway and coastal roads from both.

The Costa Blanca, meaning the “white coast” is on the Eastern coast of Spain extending for more than two hundred kilometres from the citrus groves & the rice paddies of Valencia southwards to the rugged coastline of Alicante & beyond. It is a world full of surprising contrasts that captivates visitors thanks to its scenic diversity & cultural wealth, living in perfect harmony with a mountainous interior dotted with fertile valleys, luxuriant orchards & market gardens.

The region boasts at least 300 sunny days each year with temperatures ranging from 14 degrees in winter to 30+ degrees in summer, giving it a microclimate, which is ideal for both holidays & year-round living. The sea & mountain air is highly recommended & the region is shielded from the cold winter winds of the interior by a screen of mountains. The World Health Organisation has proclaimed that the Moraira, Javea & Denia peninsula known as the Marina Alta has “one of the most environmentally perfect climates in the world”.

Unlike the coastal resorts further south, Moraira is free of high-rise development and package tourism. Originally a fishing village, Moraira is now a lovely small resort town surrounded by white-washed villas nestling in the pine clad foothills of the Marina Alta mountains & overlooking fine sandy beaches, calm seas and rocky coves. The area is designated as a conservation zone of extraordinary beauty, where height and density of buildings are strictly controlled.

The village itself with its picturesque marina and daily fish market, quaint churches, squares and back streets bursting with shops, bars, wonderful restaurants and markets still retaining their Spanish character are some of the many reasons why so many people choose to settle in this area amongst their welcoming Spanish and Cosmopolitan neighbours.

The three main beaches are all European Blue Flagged, zoned and life guarded, two of which are sandy & gently shelving, ideal for family bathing. In fact the whole of the Costa Blanca has 34 Blue Flag beaches - 3 times the number of any other Costa. A range of water sports is available including snorkelling, scuba diving, jet skiing and windsurfing.

Moraira is in a conservation area with very strict planning controls. The luscious green countryside is dotted with whitewashed private villas set amongst pinewoods, vine terraces and orange groves, providing an idyllic setting for those wanting total peace and privacy. The area remains predominately for villa owners and individuals who prefer and enjoy independent holidays. There are good night-clubs for all ages and many restaurants of varying cuisine, eight of which are Michelin recommended with three of them being star rated and not expensive. Golfers are also well catered for at the 3 nearby courses.

Travel:

Moraira is approx 57 miles north of Alicante airport and 85 miles south of Valencia airport, with excellent motorway and coastal roads from both. Car hire is recommended.

Distances:

Javea 6 miles. Teulada 4 miles. Calpe 8 miles. Benidorm 27 miles (Water Parks & Terra Mitica Theme Park).
