Luxury Villa in Cala Murada with Private Pool - Peaceful Location, Only 5 Mins Walk To Beach Close To All Local Amenities

Villa Maria, is a purpose built villa, offering a real home from home experience. Located in an exclusive development of just five architect designed holiday homes, the villa is just a few hundred yards from the famous Blue Flag rated beach of Cala Murada.

Located in an exclusive area of the resort, on a tree lined avenue, the villa boasts a large, enclosed rear garden, with plenty of space for al fresco dining, and sunbathing by the large 8m x 4m private pool.

Inside the property is tastefully furnished to a high standard, and features a large, light and airy, open plan living area, with French doors out onto the pool terrace from the lounge, dining area, and kitchen.

The lounge area, is not only air conditioned, but also features a log burner, ideal for romantic winter breaks. Furnished with modern, but comfortable leather sofas, the lounge is fully equipped with a large flat screen TV, and full satellite TV system.

The dining area, has a large extendible table, which comfortably seats the whole family, and is conveniently located next to the large kitchen, and adjacent to the pool terrace.

The villa's bespoke designer kitchen, comes fully equipped, with dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a fully automatic coffee machine, and is finished off with solid granite worktops, for that added luxury feel. The washing machine, and fridge freezer, are conveniently located, but hidden from view in the adjacent pantry.

Also on the ground floor is a large double en suite bedroom, with king size bed, and large walk in shower, and a separate family cloakroom

On the first floor you will find the luxurious master suite, featuring a dressing area, and large en-suite with walk in shower. The master suite has French doors, out onto a large balcony overlooking the garden, and protected woodland behind the villa.

Also on the first floor, is a family bathroom with bath and shower, and two twin bedrooms.

GOLF:

The fabulous Vall d'Or 18 hole par 71 golf course is just a 10 min drive away (8km) on the road towards Cala d'Or. The course (5,539m long from white tees) combines 2 completely different landscapes for the front and back nine. The front nine has rolling fairways surrounded by a forest of pine almond and olive trees. The back nine has wider and more uneven fairways playing down towards the coast road. The golf course is demanding yet entertaining with magnificent views of the coastline. The clubhouse was opened in 1999 and is located on top of a hill. Even non golfers (who are most welcome) can enjoy the stunning views of Porto Colom and Cala d'or from the spectacular canopied sun terrace. A cold beer & club sandwich whilst enjoying the panoramic view is highly recommended. The restaurant, bar and locker rooms offer everything a golfer could wish for. The std.18 Hole Green-fee is around 90 euros (various discounts available).There are also several other good courses in the locality

ACCESSIBILITY:

The two storey villa has not been fully adapted to UK disability building regulations, however, the provision of a ground floor bedroom and bathroom with walk in / wheel in shower, and only one small step from the front driveway to the front door, means the villa should be able to accommodate the needs of most people. The ground floor is open plan with large french doors to the rear, with sufficient open space for even the largest wheelchair to navigate the house safely & easily. An extra wide front doorway should facilitate alternative wheelchair access if required (although the one shallow step to the front porch does not have a ramp).

FURTHER DETAILS:

Small supermarket selling English papers, fresh bread milk, etc can be found a minutes walk from the villa, going down towards the beach, they are open from 8am-1pm and again from 4pm-8pm, there is a lovely little restaurant alongside. On a Thursday there is a small market at the beachfront from 9am-1pm they have fresh produce, fruit, olives, cheese, clothes hand made gifts, and plants. Further round into the village you will find a larger supermarket, along with restaurants and banks. There are so many beautiful places to discover on the island, some close to Casa Rosada include:-The caves of Drach and the caves of Hams, with their underground lakes and light shows- Mallorca's largest pearl factory at Manacor where you can see the pearls being made into jewellery and a shop where you can purchase them- Discover the quaint fishing village of Porto Cristo- Sit by the harbour and have a drink or a meal at Porto Colom-Why not take a trip on the Starfish boat which you can catch at Porto Colom or one of the many other beautiful coves it visits right down to Cala d'Or and beyond to Cala Mondrego and Cala Figuera (Check the timetable and stop off for an hour or so at one and return on a later boat).

CHECK IN / CHECK OUT:

Unless previously agreed, the villa will be ready for check in after 4pm on the day of arrival and guests must check out by 10am on the day of departure. This is to allow the cleaners to clean the villa, change the bedding and towels and prepare the property for your arrival.

Notes on accommodation: A lovely Villa with downstairs being a fully open plan living area. The stairwell has a very large feature window in the roof which provides a very light and airey feel to the villa. There is also a log burner in the lounge, which is great should you be considering a break during the winter months. The villa also has a large Jacuzzi on the terrace and own private pool. Outside: There is plenty of outside furniture, sun loungers and tables and chairs. A Barbecue for dining alfresco. We have added the pleasure of a jacuzzi on the sun terrace. There is a private pool which is 4m by 8m. Utility Room: Washing machine, large fridge freezer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The property will be cleaned and prepared for you on arrival with fresh bed linen, and a complimentary towel bale for every guest. Check In Time - After 4pm on the day of arrival Check Out Tim - By 10am on the day of departure

Excellent Villa -relaxing clean with all you need

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at Villa Maria in August 2017.

After much searching I found the Villa on line and with any holiday I book I was feeling apprehensive that I was really getting what you it says in the advert.

From arrival you just feel relaxed because the Villa is fantastic, very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need so you get that home from home feeling, allowing you the choice to eat in or out. The outside space has both sun, or shade, so great for young children or even adults wanting to sip a cold beer out of the beautiful sun. The Villa is very spacious, cool and extremely light. Let's not forget that BBQ area for alfresco dining.

The pool is just so great to have, letting the children play in safety and the addition of the Jacuzzi for the adults, we spent many an evening chilling out in it feeling totally relaxed.

The bedrooms are large with en-suite bathrooms to the main bedrooms with access to a large comfortable sunny balcony to both back bedrooms.

You are only a few minutes, walk from a blue flag beach complete with life guards during the summer months. If you want to walk a bit further there are a few other very safe beautiful beaches along the coast. There are many other beaches not too far away. You have the local shops for the essentials and big supermarkets are a short drive away.

The Village has many places to eat, and some do the menu of the day at a very reasonable price. The closest restaurant is only a few minute’s walk away and they will do take away if you prefer. The beach bar is great for enjoying the sunset!

We all had a fabulous relaxing time and will be returning sometime in the future.

Smashing place for young and old

We were a three generation party so the house was perfect for us. The double with ensuite on the ground floor was great for my elderly parents. We particularly loved being able to take quiet breakfasts on the balcony adjoining our room before our four boys got up. The pool was the highlight for the boys, and because of the large outside area (plenty of sunny areas as well as a large shaded area for outside dining) there was always somewhere for us close by to ‘supervise’. Although by the end of our stay they were all very confident in the water! The beach was close by and the village has some good places to eat but with a well equipped kitchen we were all happy to dine in (especially the boys who wanted to stay in the pool or jacuzzi into the dark!). All in all, a perfect place for a family getaway. Caro & family.

Lovely villa in nice surroundings. Well equipped clean comfortable and plenty of room. There are nice walks through the nature reserve at the back of the villa where you can walk across the headland to Porto Collom. Really enjoyed our stay.

Relaxing and Enjoyable Stay

We have stayed in Cala Murada previously in summer months and as we enjoyed the fact it is a quiet village destination rather than the usual tourist resort, we decided to try it for a winter break for a change. Villa Maria looked great in the photos on the website and it didn't disappoint. Its a light airy house which overlooks woodland at the back which was lovely for watching the birds over our morning coffee on the terrace.

The beach was a 5 minute walk along with a local supermarket and restaurant, so everything we needed was a short walk away. The weather during the day was lovely during our stay, although chilly at night so we were glad of the wood burner which made our evenings warm and cosy.

We had a bit of an issue with the washing machine while we were there, which sprang a leak. However, as soon as I called the managing agent, he arranged for a plumber within hours and all was fixed with no fuss.

The house was nicely furnished, and well equipped. Everything was spotless. We could not have asked for more.

We had a lovely holiday and would recommend this villa and plan to stay there again in the not too distant future.

Spacious & relaxing

We had a lovely stay in this modern, bright & clean villa, it is well equipped in a peaceful area, the rear overlooking woodland. We were a group of 6 & found the villa spacious, comfortable with a relaxing feel.

The bedrooms were well appointed ours had doors going out onto a large balcony overlooking the pool. There was also a bedroom on the ground floor with ensuite, the rooms have aircon & there is also WiFi. We prepared a lot of our meals at the villa & found the kitchen to be well equipped, tea, spices etc

We loved the pool & the Jacuzzi, & a large terrace offers a great place to escape the sun with a good dining space. There is also a BBQ available.

We had hired a car at the airport & did a big food shop on route, then used the local shops for fresh bread & milk etc.The local beach is in walking distance was clean & the sea great for swimming with a good beach bar. You can walk to Porto Colom a very picturesque fishing harbour with a good choice of restaurants.

It is easy to explore the coast line, lots of restaurants & walks & would recommend checking out the market days, we particularly liked Arta.

We look forward to returning & would recommend to family & friends.

Fab! Fab! Fab! Fab! Four Weeks Away

The four fabs above represent how we felt about the four weeks we spent staying at Villa Maria.

From the moment we arrived on our very first night the place felt like home. My wife and I absolutely enjoyed our whole stay at the Villa and so did our family and friends who visited us over the same period. The place is so well equipped with everything you need for your holiday away from home. The Villa is roomy and spacious even when you have a full house staying. It’s spotlessly clean and very well maintained by the management company who look after everything. On arrival we were greeted with a lovely big bowl of fresh fruit, a red and white bottle of wine, a bottle of water and milk. The place is so relaxed and chilled out, that I actually could not remember my internet bank ID number for the life of me, because I had become so relaxed and chilled. The place is so peaceful and only a short walk away to the lovely local little beach where you can feel the sea breeze blow gently through your hair. We totally lost track of time which to me is what a holiday should all be about. This was our first holiday in a rented Villa and I find it difficult to believe how another place like it could be any better.

Cala Murada is out of the way and relatively unspoilt, but not too much out of the way, it’s a lovely pretty little village with some really nice little bars and restaurants scattered around the village. The population is mainly German and the locals of course, but they do make you feel so welcome. The big mistake we made was to not hire a car however, this was no big deal because the local taxi service run by a lady called Alicia is brilliant and she speaks perfect English. The local bus service is very good too and easy to get around with. We left the bus timetables for any future guests to use. I could go on and on about this place it was such a great holiday, so if you are reading this and thinking about a Villa holiday make your booking before its too late.

Finally, a word on the owner (John), each time I contacted the owner with a question or query he came back to me with a response very quickly and answered all my questions. Get in there before this place becomes over developed and commercialised.

Coast/Beach:

The villa is only a 10 minute stroll to the beautiful beach at Cala Murada which shelves gently into the Mediterranean. During high season, a lifeguard is present. There are plenty of umbrellas and sun loungers. The beach bar serves ice cold drinks and very reasonably priced snacks all day long. There are many other beaches nearby, some of which can be reached by a very pleasant walk along the coastal path. The Villa is ideally situated to tour this fabulous area.

Travel:

Palma airport is a 45 minute drive from the Villa. Car hire is recommended to make the most of your holiday. There is a bus service or you can arrange transfers fro the airport if you do not wish to drive. The East coast of Mallorca is very beautiful and has so many different beaches and small local villages which are well worth a visit.

Distances:

Porto Colom is a 10 minute drive, you will find a choice of superb restaurants. Cala D'or is a 20 minute. It becomes very busy with lots of restaurants to choose from, I would recommend the Port area for eating out. Calas De Mallorca is the closest commercial resort and you acn awlk in 20 minutes. Lots going on for children, trampolines, air hockey machines, street buskers and an abundance of bars some with live entertainment.

Further Details:

There are two supermarkets in the village where you can get essentials but would recommend that you do your large shop at one of the larger supermarkets which you will pass on your way to the villa from the airport. Cala Murada is very child friendly and your children will be welcome in the restaurants where meals are reasonably priced and the children are catered for with smaller plates being offered the adults will be satified too!

There are two banks both with cash points, a hairdressers and a launderette in the village.

25% deposit will be required to secure your booking. The final balance is due 8 weeks before departure.

However, if there is less then 4 weeks before you holiday commences then the whole rental amount will be payable immediately.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Friday or Saturday in June/July/August please contact for confirmation we will consider other arrival days during the rest of the year.

Unless otherwise agreed in advance: Check out by 10am on the day of departure - Check in after 4pm on the day of arrival.

Child Cot & High Chair:
Child cots and high chairs, can be provided, free of charge, but must be requested at the time of booking.

Pets:
Some pets will be allowed, but only of pre-agreed - please ask at the time of enquiring.

Smoking:
Smoking is only permitted in the outside areas of the property.

Cancellation:
Once you have booked, the deposit is non refundable. The balance is due 60 days before arrival, and again, once this is paid, it is non refundable. We recommend that you ensure you have travel insurance, before paying the balance payment to ensure that in the event that you need to cancel, you are able to claim a full refund.
