Villa in Praia da Luz, Western Algarve - 8 mins walk to Centre of Praia da Luz and Beach

Casa Encantadora is a modern villa located in the Monte Lemos area of Praia da Luz, approximately 10 minutes walk away from the shops, restaurants and beach. The Villa is set within a walled garden, accessed by security gates. With ample parking for two or three cars. It has a large private pool and terraced area, equipped with pool cover, sun loungers, table and chairs. The villa has 3 large bedrooms which all have en-suites. Bedrooms 1 & 2 also have balconies from which you can see lovely sea views. Bedroom 3 is situated on the ground floor which has proved to be popular with guests who do not wish to or are unable to climbs the stairs. The large modern kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to make your holiday more enjoyable. You can relax in the lounge on 3 comfortable two seater sofas and have meals in the dining area which has a dining table and 6 chairs. There is a built-in barbecue to the side of the house for outside dining on warm summer evenings and cars can be securely parked within the grounds. English channels can be accessed from the broadband internet to view on a widescreen television. The villa has Free Wi-Fi internet connection. L/A License 5321/AL.

Notes on accommodation: The villa is available for renting all year round and is equipped with every modern appliance, including a built-in wood burning stove and under floor heating for the cooler months. Every bedroom has it's own bathroom/shower room and the 2 upstairs bedrooms have terraces with sea views. The property is suitable for disabled as one of the twin bedrooms with ensuite facilities is on the ground floor and can be accessed safely. Outside: The villa has landscaped garden areas and a rectangular pool (approx 7x3m) which has a pool cover to retain the temperature and there is also an outside shower. Sun loungers and dining furniture are provided and there is a built-in charcoal BBQ to the side of the house, also a whirligig clothes dryer for your convenience. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Maid service and towel change midweek, plus a complete linen change at the end of the first week, is included in the rental price. A welcome breakfast pack can be provided for late arrivals.

CHECK IN TIMES: Arrive between 2pm to 6pm (Mon-Fri); by 2pm (Saturdays) Departure by 10am.

I live in England on the edge of the Cotswolds. I have 3 children. I have run a property company of both commerical and residential properties for about 25 years.

I have owned a house in Brittany, France for about 20 years and wanted to buy a property where we could go in the cooler months to enjoy some sunshine.I enjoy living in the country but always look forward to going to Portugal especially when the weather at home is dark, grey and cold.

I am used to letting out property in my day to day work and I also let out the property in France and I have a caravan in Cornwall which I also let out so I have experience of what people expect in order to have an enjoyable holiday.

An excellent property in a lovely location. The property is of a very high standard with all modern equipment. We have friends who have holidayed in the west coast of the Algarve for over 20 years and said that their favourite place was Praia da Luz so we decided we would go and see for ourselves.The first time we went to Luz we fell in love with it.The beautiful beaches, the lovely blue skies and the warm sunshine was just what we were looking for. The added bonus was although we were in a foreign country the local people all spoke very good English so there was no need to learn Portuguese. Luz is only 45 minutes drive from Faro airport, the town of Lagos is only a 10 min drive away. We looked at several beaches around the area but decided that Luz had the best. After looking at several properties in Luz we felt this one met all our needs and today we are still pleased with the choice we made.

Coast/Beach:

Praia da Luz has greatly expanded in recent years from the fishing village it used to be. The safe sandy beach stretches round the bay and is approx 10 mins walk away. There are 2 water sports centres offering sailing, windsurfing and deep sea diving.

Travel:

Faro is the nearest airport and with the advent of the new motorway, which goes from one end of the Algarve to the other, the journey now only takes just under 1 hour. If you want to get out and explore the rugged scenery of the west coast and the neighbouring towns, car hire is advisable.

Distances:

The city of Lagos is 10km away with a wide variety of restaurants and it's splendid Marina. Also worth a visit is the town of Portimao, good for shoe shopping and only 30 mins down the motorway.

Further Details:

Luz has a modern supermarket, which sells many familiar imported items, a pharmacy and a medical centre in the village. A trip on a rib boat from Lagos Marina to see the dolphins in Lagos bay is a thrill for children and adults alike or take a jeep safari into the heart of the Algarve countryside where you can visit a local ‘distillery’ and sample Medronho - the potent local drink.

Our changeover days can be everyday except Sunday and arrival at the villa should be after 1400hrs and departure before 1000hrs. We will happily fit in with flights etc. wherever possible.

We were looking for a villa which was a short walk from the town and beach, not overlooked, has a private swimming pool and with fantastic sea views and that is what we were lucky enough to find. It is only 5-10 minutes walk to the shops and beach so you can just walk down in the evening to enjoy a delicious meal at one of several restaurants in the town. You can lounge around the lovely big pool which is private and not overlooked. The gates to the property can be locked and so it is very secure. What I look forward to is to wake up in the morning and look out to see the fantastic sea views. We are fortunate that the management company who look after the villa has their office is literally just down the road.
