An architect designed chalet, completed in 2005, "Rosablanche" offers stunning five-star luxury throughout. Situated at 1400 metres, there are breathtaking views from every room, many offering an uninterrupted vista of the glorious Rhone valley. Whilst floor to ceiling windows frame the picture postcard views in winter, a large sun terrace (complete with fitted BBQ) and balcony ensnare the sun in summer. With over 200 square metres of habitable space, this capacious chalet accommodates 10 people in comfort. It features 4 double bedrooms with ample wardrobe and draw space. One also features ensuite facilities, whilst the other three share two bathrooms. There is a large open plan living area with central fire place, and a second lounge area on a mezzanine floor which also features a sofa bed, and bathroom/WC. The chalet also boasts a utility room and a luxury, well-equipped designer Kitchen. The chalet is situated within the village, just a 3 mins walk from shops.
When we arrived, everyone ran into the chalet shouting "Wow".
This is is a modern 'designer' property, which exceeded our expectations. All of the rooms are large, especially the open plan living area which was huge. The view from the large windows and balcony overlooking the mountains was incredible.
The property looks fantastic, was very clean, tidy and had everything we needed.
Our group was made up of two families, namely four adults and four children, for which the property was perfect. It could easily cope with the maximum ten guests for which the property is designed for.
The owner of the property was very helpful before we went, always responding very quickly to any phone or e mail queries we had. They also provided plenty of advice for our skiing holiday including lift passes, ski school etc...
The chalet is about a 10 minute walk to the cable car. If you would really rather not walk due to carrying skis / boots, then a free ski bus regularly picked up from very close by. You could also drive to a parking area next to the cable car, but we never felt that this was necessary.
We made use of a ski hire place very close to the cable car, which due to staying at this chalet, provided us with a discount and they also let us leave our skis and boots there every night. As a result we had the pleasure of just strolling to the cable car in everyday footwear and didn't bother with the ski bus.
The small town has most provisions that you would require including a small supermarket within just a few minutes walk of the chalet.
The ski area is the best that I have ever visited. It was perfect for the kids that were new to the sport, but also great for those that are experienced and want to venture further afield.
Would I recommend this property? - Yes definitely.
Would I recommend this location to go skiing? - Yes for all levels.
Would I go again? - We certainly intend to go skiing again and when we do, this will be the first place we look at to see whether it is available again.
