A chance to relax and unwind.

Well positioned apartment with views over the harbour. Very clean and tidy with comfortable furnishings and fully equipped kitchen.

Chris the owner was on hand to make sure we maximised our stay with great suggestions for activities such as places to eat, drink, sunbathe, cycle ( bikes are available ) or simply watch the comings and goings of Novigrad. He made every effort to make sure we all had a great stay in Croatia. We will be back !!

Just brilliant!

Yes! What a brilliant time we had! Lovely apartment. Just as described : very cleaned, superb location (facing the marina and 5 minutes walk from the town centre) and with all commodities, ie wifi and even access to 4 bikes! We had lovely bike rides through exquisite scenery . Novigrad is a beautiful little town with many excellent restaurants offering fresh food. The locals are very friendly and there are plenty of lovely picturesque places to visits around Novigrad.

I do not have a bad word to say about Novigrad, the apartment, and the owner Chris who did his utmost to ensure our few days in Croatia were the most enjoyable. Thank you Chris!

Great Apartment and Location

The apartment, in a tranquil location with safe parking, is exactly as described by Chris. The fully equipped, very comfortable apartment is within easy walking distance to the beach, several good restaurants and the old town After a day spent at the beach, or in town, it is great to return to the peace and quiet of the apartment. Perfect Apartment

We absolutely loved Novigrad and The Frontline Sea View Apartments so much last year that we went again this year. We are a family of four, the two teenage girls had a fantastic time and were sorry to be going home. The apartment has everything you could need, the facilities are great and parking is secure. The apartment is lovely and quiet and is nice and big with a good size double room and a large twin room. The surrounding areas are beautiful and well worth taking time out to visit. We visited the Austro Hungarian museum and found it very interesting and a credit to the owner for showing his private collection. The restaurants are good value and we had some fantastic meals, the family favourite is the one to the right of the apartment in the middle of the park beside the tennis court, great value and fab food, the waiters remembered us from last year.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and the owner is great to deal with, the local office is on hand to answer any queries and the ladies there are most helpful.

Overall a fantastic place to visit and great value for money, we will be back.

A fantastic apartment

We stayed at the the Haines apartment with our Daughter and her Husband. It was an ideal size for the four of us, very roomy, clean and just as described, the photos did it justice. We particularly liked the fact that we could walk everywhere from here, into the pretty town centre, the harbour and the two beaches where we enjoyed swimming. Novigrad is a delightful small town with many outdoor restaurants and cafés. It is also a very convenient location to explore the many inland hilltop villages, Pula at the southern end of the Istrian peninsula, Rovinj and Porec which are all well worth a visit.

We just loved having our breakfasts, and dinners on the balcony with a glass of wine looking out to the harbour.

Another plus was the secure on site parking for our car.

Chris was very good to deal with, answering our many questions from New Zealand. We would thoroughly recommend this apartment.

Relaxing Stay at Novigrad

Very spacious appartment in aquite area right outside of the town center. Shopping and beaches in walking distance also for smaller chidren. The appartment is very good equiped the key pickup and rteturn where very uncomplicated. The owner made us a great prioce and the deposit return hapend within days. The one star missing is caused by the matress of the parents bedroom, to soft for us.

Special interest holidays:

There is now a choice of holidays which are linked to the local features which include asparagus picking in April, olive picking in October, wine, olive oil and truffle tasting. For groups larger than 5 then the villa CR252 on the Owners Direct site is being used. Ask for more details.

Coast/Beach:

250m to nearest beach. 5 mins walk to other beaches with crystal clear clean water and bathing and spectacular views of the bays and coastline. New 5 star marina complex within 100m. The coastal path to the north is suitable for walking or cycling and is backed by forest pines, peaceful and very attractive. The coastal path to the south has purpose built beaches, small pools - ideal for swimming and diving. New hotel facilities are now available to use with sports facilities, wellness and pool.

Travel:

There are several easy routes with budget airlines making Istria accessible. One route is to Pula from Stansted (Ryanair) with four flights per week. This is a 45 min drive. Trieste airport in Italy is a 75 min drive (Ryanair) with slightly cheaper flights from Stansted and Birmingham. Car hire is recommended, but not essential, and is is easily arranged. You can fly to Pula from Manchester, Birmingham and Gatwick with Thomson. Easyjet fly daily to Ljubljana which is a direct route into Istria.

Distances:

Novigrad is within easy distance of the popular coastal towns of Porec (15km) and Rovinj (30km) which are to the south. To the north and east inland Istria is unspoilt and is famous for many inland hilltop towns such as Motovun, Oprtalj and Groznjan which are all within 25 mins of Novigrad. The area around Novigrad is famous for wines, olive oil and truffles with several selected routes to explore at your leisure. Slovenia is within 30 minutes drive and offers coastal and inland areas of beauty.

Novigrad has all amenities although it is particularly famous for its range of high quality restaurants with an eclectic cuisine - Istrian sushi, local fresh fish and meat in traditional Croatian and Italian style. The laid back all round nature of the town makes it intimate and unspoilt. The infrastructure improves every year with a wide range of festivals, music, open air concerts and art displays a real feature. It has been thoughtfully designed to be suitable for all ages and there has been an increase each year in making the beaches and amenities children friendly. The apartment has four high quality new mountain bikes for use - either to get around Novigrad easily or to explore the many cycle paths and routes around the area. There are six specialist routes which enable the area to be explored. It is also a very easy way to visit the many local vineyards and olive groves which frequently have open days. Upon request you will be sent a DVD of the town showing it in its full spendor. Everyone loves Novigrad.

A deposit of 20 euros per night is payable to confirm the reservation. A booking form will be then sent with the outstanding balance payable 6 weeks before the start of the holiday. Full booking conditions are available by email and are included on the reservation form. A security deposit of 200 euros will be required during the stay.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is flexible to ensure easier access and to fit in with the local arrangements. This also suits many people who have different flight arrangements. Every effort is made to meet individual group needs.

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Euros also welcome. It is possible to have discounts for winter lets. Contact for details. A deposit of 20 euros per night is payable to confirm the reservation in the first instance. Local taxes are payable on arrival together with a registration fee as a tourist. Local taxes are 7 kuna per person per night (1 euro) with discounts for children under 18 and free for children under 12. There is a 35 kuna (4 euro) registration fee per person.

Air-conditioning is fitted and the apartment is suitable for couples, families or groups. It is situated on the 1st floor with easy access and a secure video intercom. There is secured parking next to the apartment accessed from the road through sensored controlled security gates. Outside: The apartment has a popular balcony overlooking the marina which is accessible from both bedroom 1 and the lounge. The apartment is south west facing and therefore has sun all through the day. Novigrad is famous for its magnificent sunsets and these can be viewed all through the season from the balcony. The balcony is spacious and has outside table and chairs for six people. The apartment has open spaces around it with olive trees and grass to the front and secure parking to the side. It is in a spacious peaceful and quiet setting. Utility Room: The apartment has an external facing separate store room which houses four high quality bikes - e.g. Trek, Fuji - for use locally or on the several designated bike trails available in this part of Istria. Ideal for the casual rider or the serious biker. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The property is serviced by a local company who are on hand to ensure your stay is comfortable. Key pick up and return are simple and personal. Towels and linen are provided. There is a cleaning service provided once a week to change bed linen and towels.
