Detached bungalow up a rustic track in a quiet rural location. Views of the mountains and across orchards. 8x4m swimming pool. A good place to relax or to explore many of the towns and villages. The nearest small town is Catadau, 10 mins drive from the property .the nearest airport is appoximately 40 minutes from property ,nearest train station would be Carlet the nearest golf course is 20 minutes away , Please note this is not a tourist area and a car would be needed my email address is dawnatkins1 @ sky .com

Notes on accommodation: Your privacy will be our priority apart from one morning a week for maintenance of pool. A welcoming pack can be arranged at a extra cost paid to key holder Outside: Gated garden to the front and to the side of the property with trees; a covered veranda, table and chairs, sun loungers, barbecue, pool. The pool area is gated for children safty with lockable gates. Utility Room: The paella house contains the Washing machine, tumble dryer, sink, BBQ. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and bed linen are provided. Please bring your own pool towels.also there is a hair drier located in the bathroom and this is where you will find the 1st aid kit No cleaning service is offered during the rental period unless requested.

A rural retreat

The owners were very quick to respond and remained in contact until our arrival where the key holder was more than happy to assist.I admit to being concerned as we drove up a very long winding cliff edge road and then turned in to a dirt track to the villa but all these concerns were removed once we got to the villa. With only 2 other properties within a few hundred metres it was so quiet and tranquil.

the key holder was an absolute star and met us at the supermarket so that we could get some initial supplies and then took us up to the villa, he was so helpful and knows a lot about the area having lived in the area for so long. The villa was clean with a number of DVD's available as well as Freesat and Spanish television so the children were happily occupied when the sun got too much for them.

the pool is about 8m x 4m and was a perfect size for us, it was very clean and could not be faulted. The village centre has a couple of supermarkets, bars, and other shops, if you want to shop on a Sunday there is a town about 25 minutes away that was open.

In terms of drawbacks at the property, the only one that we could think of was how reliant you have to be on a car in the area as even the village centre takes about 5-10 minutes to drive down to and I certainly would not risk walking it!!!

That said the views around the villa and everything else taken in to account we would certainly stay again and with it only being 30 minutes to Valencia and then beaches there was nothing to grumble about in terms of finding things to do (although the pool kept us occupied for most of the week). The Oceonographic in Valencia is fantastic, it was quite expensive but when compared to what the UK has to offer it was well worth the money and you get discounted car parking in the main car park there.

Fueron 18 dias fantasticos ,la casa estuvo bien ,no faltaba de nada ,la cocina estaba completa ,la piscina estaba limpia,la casa es muy tranquila ,nos gustaria repetir ,solo un pequeno detalle ,habia muchas avispas. La chica que se ocupa de la casa (sara) muy pendiente de nosotros.y a sido un placer conocerla.

Coast/Beach:

There are many beaches in Valencia area many can be reached within a hour one of them is Cullera, where there is also a large water park.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Valencia approx 45 mins and Alicante is 1.75 hours. There are many low cost airlines now flying in to Valencia at low prices. A car hire is essential.

Distances:

The nearest town is Catadau where you will find local shops and supermarkets, bars, restaurants, post office, and many leather shops. There is a weekly local market in the square.
