Villa in Orba, Costa Blanca - Tranquil Location within Easy Reach of the Beaches and Many Other Amenities

Casa Marissa is a spacious, comfortable villa overlooking the pretty Spanish village of Orba with stunning views across the valley with its orange and lemon groves to the mountains beyond. It features its own private swimming pool (8m x 4m) in a terraced area with a sun porch and in-built shower with hot and cold water. Steps lead to a further terraced area with a brick-built BBQ where you can cook under the shade of a large Carob tree. Both terraces enjoy spectacular views across the valley. The villa can comfortably accommodate 6/8 people in its three bedrooms, all of which are air-conditioned. The master bedroom has a large dressing room area which is equipped with two futons. The second bedroom has a double bed and the third bedroom is a twin-bedded room which has an en-suite bathroom. Two double sofa-beds in the lounge provide further flexibility for sleeping arrangements. There is a further family bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern conveniences.

Notes on accommodation: A cot and high chair are available. Pool sun loungers, patio furniture, umbrellas, beach chairs and BBQ equipment are also supplied. Outside: The property enjoys well planted dry stone terraced gardens. Outside the villa is the pool terrace, with direct access from both the kitchen and dining room. The 8 X 4 meter pool has a covered “naya”, perfect for lounging in the shade with a cool beer. All exterior edging and tiling is non-slip and the pool area also boasts a fully enclosed shower (with both hot and cold water) with complete privacy. Ample sun loungers are provided. Steps lead to a further terrace with a brick-built BBQ and well, fully equipped with patio dining table & chairs. Dine under the shade of the large Carob tree, an indigenous species from which it is possible to make a chocolate substitute from the fruit. Utility Room: Outside laundry room with washing machine. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bath and hand towels and bed linen are included. Beach/pool towels not included. The property is cleaned and prepared prior to guests’ arrival and a welcome pack supplied. Bed linen is changed and fresh towels supplied during the middle weekend of 2 week. Other: All bedrooms are air-conditioned and there is a ceiling fan in the lounge.

The nearest beaches are at Denia and Oliva, which are around 20 minutes by car. Gandia, Javea and Moraira are around 30 minutes in the car and Terra Mitica fun park, Sea world, and Aqualandia water park are in the Benidorm area about 40 minutes by car. Also there are amazing local fiestas all year round, including bull running which usually takes place in the last week of July.


Alicante & Valencia are the nearest airports. They are about the same distance (90km / 60 miles), each are about an hour's drive on the E15/A7 (AP7) motorway. The drive from either airport is easy, with straightforward navigation. We recommend using the AP7 which is a toll road and thus carries less traffic than the local roads. Toll costs are approximately €7.


Casa Marissa is about 5 minutes walk from Orba which is a really pretty Spanish village offering a great range of facilities, and which is an ideal base from which to explore the area. The village facilities include various shops - butchers, bakers, greengrocer, newsagent a pharmacy three supermarkets of varying sizes and a weekly market on Wednesdays. Orba also has three banks, plus medical and dental surgeries. There are may bars and restaurants, the latter usually offering set price meals.

Further Details:

Orba has the advantage of being close to many tourist areas and attractions, whilst offering peace and tranquility. This gives the visiting family ample opportunities to enjoy a wide range of activities and sights.

Some of the many possibilities (not forgetting the beaches and golf) within a short drive include:

Many interesting towns and villages including the historic cliff top castle at Guadalest - built by the Moors around 300BC.

Most of the local towns and villages (including Orba) have a weekly market and fiestas (festivals) throughout the year.

Karting and quad-biking are available locally

Carp fishing trips with a local guide and equipment available for hire.

There are plenty of mountain bike tracks offering easy and challenging routes

Family cycling and walking on the level, traffic-free tracks and trails that criss-cross the Orba valley

Snorkeling and scuba, and various boat trips are available off the coast of Denia

For the children big and small, how about a day out at one or all of these fun parks! The Aqualandia Water Park, Mundomar Marine Animal Park and the Terra Mitica Theme Park can all be found at Benidorm.

El Vergel safari park is about 1/2 hour by car

Shopping - Denia is a substantial coastal town with a large selection of shops of all kinds, it's about 20 minutes drive. Plenty of parking available.

Head to the Balearics - Majorca, Menorca and Ibiza are a ferry ride away from Denia.

The caves at Benidoleig (about 5 minutes) are well worth a visit.

Booking Notes:
25% deposit is required at time of booking. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival along with a refundable damage deposit of £200. Electricity and Gas are inclusive of the hire.

Changeover Day:
We are completely flexible concerning arrival and departure days. The villa will be ready for entry from 4pm on the day of your arrival. We ask our guests to please depart by no later than 10.00am on the day of their departure.
