Overlooking the beach and the swimming pool, this brand new property is ideal for that romantic break or the family holiday. The Master bedroom has stunning sea views though both double bedrooms are light and airy with fitted wardrobes. With more beautiful views from the adjoining terrace the lounge & dining room feel light and spacious. There is a TV & DVD player if you can drag yourself away from that view! La Mamola is a small traditional sea-side fishing village. A really friendly peaceful place with great amenities! Dine on locally caught fish or taste the local wines of the Alpujarra region accompanied by a ‘tapa’ or two! A great place to switch off & relax! Other village amenities include 3 small supermarkets, fishmongers, bakery, gift shop, a bank, tobacconists, post office, doctors, and chemist.

I am so glad you are both enjoying La Mamola! I really love it myself as it is so Spanish! If you have time and haven't already done so then do order a Paella at the beach bar on the beach just in front - it is excellent but best to give her advance warning - OK?

My name is Ness I have lived in Spain since 1970 raising two sons in Menorca where we lived for 15 years. My last husband was an Olympic skier back in the '60s so our winters were spent in the mountains. At first in the Pyrenees and since 1996 (when Sierra Nevada hosted the World Championships) in Sierra Nevada. Unfortunately he died in 2006 and since then I spend less time on the ski slopes preferring life on the farm in warmer climes on the southern slopes of the Sierra in a beautiful region known as the Alpujarra. So when I or the family are not using the place I am able to share our lovely duplex with others on a holiday rental basis. I also spend time in my pretty little place down on the coast with wonderful sea views & ideal for that quiet beach holiday with a very Spanish flavour.

Sitting in Meson La Orza, just down the road from the apartment, been here two weeks and really happy to still have one week to go. Have really enjoyed La Mamola and apartment all as stated, wonderful views. If you want peace and quiet and a real beach holiday without the hurly burly, come to La Mamola. We were lucky enough to be here during fiesta week, weather fantastic and people friendly and wiling to help us with our rubbish attempts at speaking Spanish.

“I now live in the mountains on the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada in Andalucia. Although I can see the sea from my poolside there is nothing like breathing in that salty air! Unfortunately the farm here doesn't allow me to spend as much time on the coast as I'd like so it is nice to share - don't you agree?”
Activity and Interests
The apartment is situated at the quiet end of the promenade and about 15 meters from the beach.
Closest International Airports: Almeria - 80 km, Granada - 96 km, Malaga - 128 km
Check out Ryanair or Easyjet for direct flights to Almeria and Granada from a variety of UK airports.
To make the most of your stay I would recommend hiring a car but this is not essential as all the village amenities are within walking distance of the apartment.
During your stay La Mamola is ideally located for visiting Granada and the breathtaking Alhambra Palace. Choose paragliding, horseback riding or wine tasting by visiting the beautiful mountains of the Alpujarra.
Places along the coast like Adra La Rabita Castillo de Banos are great for fish restaurants or Spanish Tapas.
You can even catch a ferry from Almeria to North Africa!

Bookings are secured on receipt of 25% deposit of the total amount. The balance is required at least 6 weeks prior to arrival in resort. A safety deposit of 150€ will be requested on collection of the key in the resort. This will be refunded on your departure with the safe return of the apartment and the key to the agency.
Change over day Friday but flexible out of season.
Please note that for stays of less than 7 nights a cleaning fee of £25 is additional
