Set in a secure, gated front-line complex, this apartment enjoys a beach-front location with west-facing views receiving the afternoon and evening sun. The apartment enjoys WIFI internet and full UK TV including Sky Sports and Movie channels, and a clever catch up service that means you don't miss your favourite shows.

There is a large communal pool with a grassy surround for sunbathers. Lifts and ramps are available for the disabled. There are many shops, bars and restaurants locally, and the many quaint bars and restaurants in the old town are an easy few minutes walk away.

The accommodation comfortably sleeps 4 or 5 people, and has above average quality fixtures and fittings. With a good sized balcony, 2 twin bedrooms, 1 bathroom en-suite, 1 shower room and toilet, a modern kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine, you will be able to enjoy a luxurious holiday in this accommodation.

The balcony has a sea view to the left and overlooks a plaza of restaurants and bars. Here you can sit during the evenings, eating and drinking, and watch the world go by. Whilst not excessively noisy, this is a Spanish holiday town. So if you want a quiet holiday to get away from it all, you should not be staying in a typical Spanish resort.

Changeover day is Saturday except during winter months. Cot and high chair available on request for a small extra charge.

Very pleased with apartment, it was as advertised, clean, bright, comfortable. A compact kitchen if you needed to cook, spacious dinning and sitting area which lead on to a large balcony with it own table and chairs. A lovely view of the sea,and plaza below. Restaurants underneath, so very short trip for breakfast, lunch and dinner or just loll over a nice coffee or a glass of vino. Plenty of restaurants 5 min walk which also takes you to Balcon. We would definitely stay again, Thank you Jane and Joanne for looking after while there. See you next year.

Lovely apartment, great location

Th apartment is in a great location. We have visited Nerja four or five times now and this is the best apartment we have stayed in. It was spotlessly clean and I love the fact it is two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The complex is small and well laid out, yet you walk out of the door to a range of bars and restaurants. The sea is less than 200m away. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony, people watching, sipping a sherbet and watching the lovely sunset. Cannot recommend it enough. Thanks Jane, we certainly loved your place and will be back.

Great place to stay!

For us the best things about the apartment were it's aspect, location and position. It was very close to the beach, had a lovely pool and wasn't far from the square at the Balcon de Europa. After a hard day at the beach, it was great sitting on the balcony with a glass or two of wine watching the sun go down and people watching in the restaurants below. The apartment had everything we needed.

Very disappointed

The apartment is very tired, needing urgent upgrade and TLC. In itself not a problem but we found the apartment very grubby and general cleanliness was not acceptable.

When we complained we were told that we were being too picky.

Location is great which is what attracted us to the apartment on our eight visit to Nerja.

We are planning a return to Nerja but not to this apartment and would not make a recommendation.

Owner's Response: It never ceases to amaze me that you can have guests come and go all year round, and then a few expect completely different things from a rental apartment. 95% of our guests comment on how clean and tidy the apartment is, and the other 5% are determined to find anything and everything wrong with it. Most guests comment on how clean the apartment is, and how friendly and helpful is Joanne (the lady who services the apartment). I should be upset by this review, but I'm not, because time has proved that you just can't please all the people all the time. I ask all guests for feedback on their stay and the overwhelming response is positive. New dining furniture, coffee table and sideboard were added last summer, and the place was decorated right through in the winter. The towels were all replaced 2 years ago. These are not the actions of an owner who doesn't care. Jane

Outstanding

This apartment is in a lovely gated community which is extremely well maintained. On entering the apartment you are immediately struck by how light and tidy everything is. We have stayed with Jane 4 times now and this is normal. The apartment is spotless, smells clean and tidy. (Well done Joanne).

The furniture and amenities are perfect for a holiday let; everything is there and again clean and comfortable. The beds are good with the right sort of bedding for the time of year. The kitchen is well-equipped should you ever wish to use it and the bathrooms are excellent.

There is a lovely view from the balcony - just right for people-watching. Location wise everything is on hand. There is a small but very well stocked supermarket within 2 minutes walk. At the entrance to the community there is the ‘Café Mirasol’ - perfect for breakfast and indeed all your meals in you do not wish to venture far.

The beach (with cafés & restaurants) is only a few hundred yards away. (We would recommend the Restaurante Playa Torrecilla, great food, views overlooking the beach and very friendly staff) while the Balcon de Europa with its views (and shops & more cafés) is only 10 -15 minutes away. Another little gem is Ruskins. A British bar/restaurant with a good combination of Spanish Tapas and great English food with fantastic staff. It is only 5-10 mins stroll.

All in all a perfect getaway for a lovely peaceful holiday and if Jane will have us again we will be back in 2017.

Lovely apartment in a great location, spotlessly clean and very comfy, the apartment has just about everything you could possibly need , there's even a shopping trolley which came in very handy ! So good we've booked again !

Fabulous apartment

We had a really fantastic stay. The location within Nerja was ideal, quiet later on and close to beaches and the centre of the resort. The car parking space was well worth the money. The apartment itself was well furnished, had everything we needed and was spotless. The welcome folder was a great addition. We had been to Nerja before but when we needed a doctor for our son this was an invaluable source of information.

The pay meter for electric was straight forward and no hassle whatsoever.

We have already discussed booking again for next year!

Coast/Beach:

The apartment overlooks Torecilla beach. Nerja's many other beaches are within easy walking distance.

Car hire:

There are many available from the airport or locally. Malagacar.com are very reasonably priced and operate from the airport. We can arrange a taxi to collect you from the airport for 70 euros. Buses are also available from the airport to Nerja via Malaga for just 5 euro. There is no railway in the area.

Distances:

Even though there is plenty to do and see in Nerja and you don't need to leave the town, there are also other places of interest further a field that are easily accessible by car for the more adventurous. For example - the famous caves of Nerja 5 mins, whitewashed villages of Frigliana and Maro 10 mins. The stunning Lake Vinuela 35 mins, Granada and the Alhambra Palace approx 1 hour, Marbella/Puerta Banus with their posh boutiques and trendy bars 80 mins.

Further Details:

This apartment complex enjoys a magnificent swimming pool and is just 50 yards from 2 clean and safe beaches. There is an abundance of good bars and restaurants within walking distance as well as some excellent shopping. Walking to Nerja town centre takes 4 minutes.

Parking: There are several municipal car parks and lots of on-street parking close the apartment. However, on-street parking spaces can be difficult to find during the summer months. There is one secure parking space available in the underground car park for a small additional charge. Please ask for details with your booking enquiry.

  • Notes on accommodation: Sorry, no smoking indoors and no pets. Fuentes de Nerja is a well maintained, gated community with around 50% Spanish and Northern European full time residents. This means that it is not solely a holidaymaker location - people live in this community as well. This has the advantage of making it one of the best run communities in Nerja. It is always clean, tidy and peaceful and not seething with noisy revellers. If you want a busy nightlife with lots of action, then this apartment is not for you. Nerja is not a good resort for young revellers. I seek clients who will respect the accommodation and our neighbours. If you want a peaceful summer holiday with no noise at all, you should not book accommodation in a Spanish town. A safe has been installed. Outside: This front-line apartment has a large pool with a qualified attendant during the summer. There is a grassed sunbathing area around the pool but no sun loungers are provided. The complex is peaceful and well kept, and renowned for being the best run complex in Nerja. Ideal for families and couples. There is one secure parking space in the underground car park available for a small extra fee, available on a first come, first served basis. Please ask for details with your booking enquiry. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment is cleaned for the beginning of your stay, and fresh linen and towels are left in the apartment. You can arrange extra cleans during your stay if you wish.
