In its own parkland of approx 2.5 acres, our luxuriously restored wine cave offers beautiful holiday lodges to accommodate up to 6 people. Set amongst vineyards, apricot and peach orchards, Mas San Julian is conveniently located just 1.5 km from the town centre of Thuir, an interesting traditional market town with much charm. Thuir remains unspoilt by tourism with traditional shops, supermarkets and restaurants in which to sample the local cuisine. Set in a fine wine-growing region, Thuir is a superb location for either a quiet relaxing or action packed holiday. The extent of exploration in the area is beyond belief with its enticing markets, exotic gardens, rock pools, spectacular caves, gorges and rivers. Amongst many other activities in the surrounding area there is horse riding, golf, fishing, water sports and of course wine tasting. The lodges are fully equipped to ensure that your holiday is made as relaxing as possible. Each lodge has its own private terrace.
Mas San Julian is a labour of love that grows and changes every year. Many of our guests return to Mas San Julian regularly and it gives us great delight to welcome them back and to see their reactions as they look around and notice all the changes we have made since their last visit.
New Outdoor play area which includes a large play module with decks, dens, climbing ramp, swing and two-seater rider, slides and bridges. Push along toys are available for the younger children, alongside which is table tennis and seating.
New Indoor play with a super soft play area for younger children, ball pool, push along toys, tables and chairs for games and drawing amongst other activities, table tennis, large screen TV with Sky facilities and seating for parents.

The diversity of the Pyrenees Orientales was our reason for choosing to move here. In the summer we benefit from the good weather, beaches, watersports etc and in the winter we benefit from incredibly sunny days and a close proximity to the ski resorts allowing skiing on a daily basis if desired. We chose Thuir in particular as it is in our opinion and many of our guests - one of the nicest towns in the area. It is a traditional market town, inhabited predominantly by French people. There is continually being improved with plenty of local shops, bars and restaurants. Unspoilt by tourism in the summer, it remains "buzzing" in the winter.
Easy access to the UK was important to us with ageing parents and a nice area to bring up our children - all the boxes were ticked!
We are located just 1.5 kms from the town centre of Thuir, we therefore benefit from the peace and tranquility of the countryside but the benefits of town life within walking distance. The heated 15 x 7m pool means that swimming is possible (not just dipping!) from Easter(if the weather permits) until November. 2.5 acres of parkland allows hours of fun either team games or quieter games of tennis, badminton etc., country walks are on the doorstep. For 2010 we are proud to introduce yet even more facilities for families, including an indoor and outdoor play area offering a fabulous climbing module, sandpits, slides, soft play area, ball pool, table tennis and much, more.
A deposit payment of 25% is due at time of reservation with the balance payment due 8 weeks before arrival.
During high season changeover day is Saturday. In low season we can be flexible with arrival and departure days -please do not hesitate to ask. Arrival is from 4pm on the first day of the reservation, departure is by 10am on the last day.

Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. Prices are fully inclusive, no hidden extras.
Baby packs, cots available on request at no extra cost. For 7plus people accommodating one property there is a supplement of £30 per head (excluding children under 2). A discount is available for couples between September and June and for longer lets, please contact the owner for a quotation.
