This very private holiday villa at the foot of Montana Roja in the gated La Goleta community, has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, heated swimming pool, large sun terrace with shaded dining area, luxurious cushioned sun loungers, mature attractive tropical gardens and views across the sea to Fuerteventura. The villa is unique in that it has superb privacy provided by whitewashed walls, topped by attractive wooden lattice-work around the entire perimeter, making it not only private but secure especially for children. It also has a ramped path to the terrace making it suitable for buggies and wheelchairs. Located in the gated La Goleta private residential area near Faro Park, it is five minutes drive from Playa Blanca and only 15 mins walk from the nearest small beach. Set in a peaceful residential area, this fantastically well equipped villa is ideal for families and couples alike for a relaxing holiday in the sun. So many people report on the fabulous local restaurants, cocktail bars, the big Sunday market in Teguise, wonderful places to visit, fabulous climate, (of course), but probably more than anything, they comment on the pool, which is cleaned twice per week to keep it in top condition.

About Karen Fleming

I live by the sea in West Sussex and have two daughters, aged 21 and 18. Myself and the children first visited Lanzarote in August 2004 and immediately fell for the island and its dramatic landscape. Buying a property overseas had always been something I wanted to do and when the opportunity was presented to me to buy in Playa Blanca, I jumped at the chance. Its perfect for everything... great weather, beaches, scenery, food, restaurant choice and activities. The villa is situated in a quiet, private residential area which makes for a very relaxing holiday. Every time the children and I visit, we don't want to leave. We go to our favourite restaurant Luna Rosa, without fail, the evening of the first day we arrive.

I am a lawyer and work locally to where I now live, near Worthing. My girls are both at University, but we still talk about our next holiday to the villa, as soon as we have left Lanzarote.

Why Karen Fleming chose Playa Blanca - Yaiza

The villa is beautifully furnished, even though I say so myself!.

It has marble floors and work tops, but the Spanish type furniture and warm colour scheme gives it a warm homely feeling, lovely to come back to after a night out.

The location of the villa has the benefit of being residential and away from the hub of Playa Blanca and any noise at all, but close enough to be near the restaurants, whether very local ones in Faro park or the more recommended La Mulata, or the slightly further afield, but easily accessible (5 mins in the car, 40 mins walking), Playa Blanca.

Playa Blanca has all the advantages of a modern resort, with it's beaches, shops and choice of restaurants, but it also has the beauty of old Spain, with many elements of the original fishing village still intact.

What makes this villa unique

Great privacy and peace and quiet, heavenly, hence the name El Cielo.

You have no idea how much we are looking forward to coming over to the villa for the 5th time!

In fact it probably comes up more in conversation then is probably healthy. Our 8 year old daughter thinks of the villa as her home in the sun!

Substantial divan bed available if needed for 5th person. Hairdryer provided. 2 powerful fan heaters provided, small but so powerful and useful as the months November-February can be a little chilly, but only in the evening. Fans provided for the warm evenings.

Notes on accommodation: Given the peaceful location, the villa is a great place to relax and is especially suitable for families and couples alike who want privacy, security and to laze by the pool.The local Faro Park shops, supermarkets and restaurants approximately 10 mins walk away. There are beautiful seaside walks to enjoy too. Outside: Outside you will find the al fresco dining area situated conveniently next to the kitchen, featuring an Indian rosewood table, benches with comfortable cushions and a barbeque for your use. We also have a shaded patio area by the pool - both areas are great for eating outside for lunch or dinner in the warm evenings! The terrace has sun loungers with comfortable cushions and the surrounding garden is planted with native palms, yuccas, bouganvilla and other interesting plants. Utility Room: The villa is equipped with a washing machine. iron/ironing board. A wall mounted clothes dryer can be found in the al fresco area - clothes dry quickly in Lanzarote. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Quality cotton bathroom towels and linen provided. Towels are changes twice a week and linen is changed once a week. (for 10 day bookings, this is a chargeable extra unless you chose to use the washing machine and wash the linen yourselves) Other: We also have a folding bed, bed guard, quality travel cot, quality high chair should they be required

Lovely Villa

We have rented several villas in Lanzarote but this is the only one we have returned to. It's in a very good location just outside of Playa Blanca which you can walk into in about an hour. Or go the other way and lovely walk along the rocky coastline where you can see the waves crashing in. There are shops, restaurants and takeaways within walking distance but we would recommend a car. This time we walked up the Red Mountain and got a fabulous view including of the villa.

Villa is well equipped with everything you need and has the added bonus of satellite TV so we could watch Sky movies and the football. The heated pool is lovely and we found the sun loungers very comfortable. The towels were changed mid-week by a very friendly young woman.

Karen is very easy to deal with replying promptly to emails which is very reassuring.

We definitely intend to return again but this time for two weeks as it's becoming our "home from home"!

Could do with some work outside

The villa inside is ok even though we were told we could only have 1 towel,but the outside requires some maintenance all 4 sun loungers were damage, the so called barbecue was a disgrace you would not want to use it ,loose tile around the pool and the palm trees want a good trimming has they make the large sun terrace shaded for most of the day

Beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean

My wife and I have recently returned from our first visit to El Cielo.

What a stunning villa. Beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean.

When we arrived there was bread, butter and tea bags, oh and a nice bottle of wine waiting for us!

It’s in a very peaceful location around a 45 minutes walk from the Centre of Playa Blanca. Taxis are plentiful, and there is very good bus service every 30 minutes just round the corner from the villa.

This really is a home from home, with a lovely fitted kitchen together with a washing machine in the utility room, and the WIFI is excellent. Nothing has been forgotten.

I was even able to watch my favourite football team on the TV whilst my wife swam in the lovely heated pool.

The local agents who you contact if there is any sort of problem are very good, and we had to contact them regarding a little hitch with the internet connection. It was a Sunday afternoon and the problem was resolved very promptly and efficiently.

Karen made the whole booking procedure very easy, and we loved the villa so much, that whilst on holiday we booked another 3 visits over the next 12 months!.

I can not speak highly enough about El Cielo, it’s very much recommended, and I am sure we will be spending a lot more holidays there over the next few years.

Amazing Villa

What an amazing Villa, we loved our stay here, the villa has everything to offer and is quite simply home from home. The villa is situated in a quiet residential area which was perfect for the relaxing holiday which we both required, approx 30min walk toward playa blanca will take you to a few restaurants, I would like to recommend the italian. Down the stair is an amazing cocktail bar.

The villa is not the closest to playa blanca but this did not bother us of hinder our stay, we hired a car which made all areas accessible, we both felt that the situation of villa was far away enough to enjoy the island and its peacefulness but close enough to access all areas on the island. We wish we did not have to come home. Thank you Karen for the ease of booking with yourself and your amazing villa. The sprinkled flower petals around the villa were also a lovely touch and made us feel extremely welcome. We will defo consider staying here again.

Booking Notes:
Upon provisional booking, we will confirm availability and reserve the booking dates for five days (giving you time to book your flights/car hire). A 25% deposit is payable to confirm the booking. You can pay by cheque or bank transfer. The full balance is due eight weeks before the start of your holiday and may also subject to a £100 refundable breakage bond. If your holiday is less then eight weeks away we will require full payment when you confirm your booking. 10 day bookings also accepted.

Changeover Day:
This is usally Monday or Thursday but we will be flexible when we can.

Notes on prices:
Quoted prices are based on 2 people. Add £50pppw for each extra person. Children under 5 are free - please state your childrens age when making an enquiry. Wifi internet is available as an optional extra at £25pw.
