Apartment in Nice Old Town, Cote d'Azur, Provence, France - Just Steps From The Beach, Promenade Des Anglais And Famous Daily Flower Market

The apartment building is located in a side street, just a few metres from Old Nice's Main Square and the Cours Saleya, which is home to the famous daily flower market and local produce market. Many restaurants and bars are also situated here. Spend a delightful evening at the opera or in one of the Cours Saleya restaurants or stay in the apartment and dine on the balcony, enjoying the spectacular views and sunset. The beach is just a few steps further than the Cours Saleya and the port is a five to ten-minute stroll. It is a perfect base for exploring the Cote Azur. Monaco is 15-minutes away by train and Cannes, Antibes etc are an easy train journey as well, of course, as Italy. The wonderful listed building is a former palace dating from the 18th Century and was built by an affluent banker to house Nices aristocracy. It is truly majestic with a magnificent entrance hall hidden behind the main front door and wide sweeping stairways.

Just don’t want to go home!! We’ve had a fantastic holiday in this fabulous little apartment. Why stay in the Negresco with it’s restricted view when you can enjoy this panorama?!

Location, location, location! This apartment has all three!

It’s out 6th stay in your fabulous apartment – says it all doesn’t it! The studio is truly a little gem of a place! Central location in the Old Town, close to everything you’ll need and magnificent views.

Absolutely stunning views! Your apartment is lovely – the design, decoration and everything provided.

From the moment we took the last step up into the apartment, we knew we had made the right decision to stay here for our visit to Nice. The views of the sea and rooftops are spectacular. The location is fabulous, within a few minute’s walk of everything. It really was perfect.

We had friends staying at Le Meridien, Monte Carlo at the same time – very nice but we wouldn’t have swapped for anything.

To sum it up-utterly enchanting!

Stunning apartment with wonderful views from the rooftop balcony over old town nice,the sea with all the boats and the cruise liners from the kitchen window, and the waterfall hill from the side window as well.A clean, well lit and well furnished property, the daily and nightlyclimb up the stairs from the ground floor to the very top where the apartment is was a challenge but worth it!!.

A perfect base for getting around Nice and beyond by bus or train......A trip to Monaco/Monte Carlo, the beach at Beaulieu Sur Mer and the charming village of Eze are recommended.....Old Town Nice is charming and one can wonder about for ages through the streets...bars and restaurants aplenty so one is spoiled for choice without doubt, a hearty stroll along the promenade blows the cobwebs away too!.

All in all an excellent choice for a place to stay and we would definately recommend this property to a friend or relative, customer service from the owner was five star too throughout the booking.

Coast/Beach:

The beach is just steps from the apartment and the port is a 5 to 10 minute easy stroll away.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Nice at less than 6 km. Taxis are always readily available at the airport and the journey to the apartment is less than 10 minutes and should cost no more than 30 Euros. Alternatively, there is an airport bus (no 98) travelling to and from Nice Old Town, costing approximately 4 Euros.

Flights are available at www.easyjet.com or www.ba.com or you can travel by Eurostar (www.eurostar.co.uk) and take a connecting TGV service to Nice Gare de Ville which is a 20-min walk.

Distances:

Beach: 100m. Cours Saleya 25m. Old Town: 0m. Airport: 6km. Port: 5 to 10 minute stroll. Railway Station: 1km (Nice Gare de Ville or Nice Riquier). Monaco/Monte Carlo: 15 minutes by train

Italy: Just over an hour by train.

Further Details:

The Opera House, Nice National Theatre, Matisse Museum and Chateau Hill are all a short walk away. The colourful daily flower and local produce market (The Cours Saleya) runs from Tuesday to Saturday with antiquities on a Monday.The Cours Saleya is a few steps from the apartment.

Ventimiglia market in Italy operates on a Friday.
