Outstanding apartment 5 star

We stayed at this beautiful apartment 23rd July 2015-6th August 2015, 2 adults and 2 children.

Everything in this apartment is perfect, two bedrooms with ample space for clothes and belongings. There is TV, wifi, washing machine, dishwasher, everything really, anything you need, this apartment has it all. The pool area is superb and secluded in front of the apartment is a lovely well kept garden which is pretty much your own where you can put your loungers.

A huge verander has table and chairs and loungers on which is lovely for shade and lunch/dinner.

Supermarket is about 10 mins walk which we did a few times, a taxi ride to the marina is 5 mins away and roughly Eur8 each way, there is telephone numbers for taxis to call.

This apartment is superb and we had a great time, this place really does have it all and there is always someone cleaning to keep this stunning complex immaculate.

Home from home in the sun!

This is a super apartment for a family. We had a 2year old and 4 year old with us and it was the perfect set up- with a shared private garden completely enclosed with steps down to it from the balcony it was perfect for the kids. The smaller toddler pool was great, a really good size and nice for the parents to try and catch a few rays whilst sitting on the side watching the little people! There is no need to worry about sun loungers as the apartment has 4 along with comfy mats, plus pool towels! One thing I would say is that the pool is quiet, we found this to be a benefit but if you are looking for a lively pool area then this isn't it. You are literally seconds from the apartment which was fantastic!

Other benefits for families is that it has all the essentials you would need- air con, low single beds in the second room, Freeview, DVD player etc. the apartment is about 5 min drive from the marina so you would need a car as its a bit too far to walk. We usually drove into town in he evening and left car and got a taxi home- hubby ran down every morning to collect the car, but there are a list of taxi numbers in the apartment.

Overall we'd a great time, and if definitely recommend the apartment!

Perfect Family Holiday....

I carried out a lot of research before booking "Pinhal" for our holiday for June 2014, so please save yourself a lot of time and just go for it and book this apartment ! You won't be disappointed.

Where do I start..... very high specification with aircon, wifi, UK TV channels (World Cup was on), huge terrace covered to protect the kids from the sun, comprehensive kitchen equipment, underground garage keeping the car cool.

But in more detail, the fact that the apartment terrace leads down to the garden, rather than straight on to the pool was fantastic for our 2 year old & 4 year old daughters, they could play and walk around on their own without us constantly walking with them. Every day they would go to the garden and look for leaves fallen from the tree while my wife and I sat on the terrace with OJ, Coffee and croissants, palma ham and melon, it was just bliss.

The quality of the apartment was high, with comfortable sofas, fabulous beds all the equipment you will ever need.

Now, I would recommend having a hire car as its a couple of km in to the marina area but also because you are perfectly placed to visit all the other towns on the Algarve. We went to Lagos (on the Toll Motorway) took an hour or so each way, Albufeira 20 mins, Faro 30 mins (Forum Algarve shopping), Portimao 40 mins.

The apartment is well placed on the outer edge of Vilamoura, close to the golf courses, its a well cared for area with quality people holidaying or enjoying their holiday homes.

The swimming pool is also lovely, with a large baby pool about 60cm deep that our kids used every day.

On the peak busy days we had a maximum of 4 other people around the pool, so it pretty much felt like your own private pool.

There is a playpark not far away and of course the English TV was pretty much glued to ceeBeebies each morning, it just worked so well for us.

I would highly recommend the apartment and would certainly return to use it again.

Available Locally: Sailing, Surfing, Windsurfing, Water Skiing, Diving, Paragliding, Jet-skiing, Power Boat Hire, Coastal/Deep Sea Fishing, Boat Trips, Tennis, Horse Riding, Bowling, Bird Watching, Cycle Tracks. Vilamoura is very flat & therefore suited to cycling. There are many cycle routes around the area including the colourful promenade plus leafy/green routes within the Environmental Park.

Coast/Beach:

There are numerous great beaches in the Algarve. The nearest to our apartment is Falesia Beach and is only a 5 minute drive away. It is an award winning Blue Flag rated beach, europes highest safety standard of safety/cleanliness & features gentle slopes into the sea, ideal for children.

Vilamoura Marina with numerous bars and restaurants is a great place to have lunch or dinner and watch the world go by.

Travel:

20 mins from Faro Airport. Flights (appox 2 hrs from UK). Meet and greet private transfer (24hrs/7days) can be arranged.

Distances:

Vilamoura Marina and town 2.5km. Cathedral town of Faro 20km. Albufeira 12km. Spanish Border 45 mins. The inland town of Loule is renowned for its traditional handicrafts and splendid market. It is 7km from our apartment. There is a small supermarket within 10mins walk, which can supply all needs incl fresh bread etc. Within the same location there is a restaurant with an upper sun terrace. There is also a lunch time restaurant at the Millenium driving range. approx 10 mins walk.

Further Details:

Leisure: water slide parks, Zoomarine, Guia 20 mins drive – Dolphin/Seals & Tropical Bird Shows, 18 hole pitch & put + crazy golf. Environmental Park (Flora, Fauna, Rare Birds), 1.5km. Roman Villa Site, Archaeology Exhibition & Museum.

Shopping: Large shopping centres at Faro and Guia. Vilamoura. Designer Shops around Marina. Quarteira Town,Wednesday outdoor traditional market. Vilamoura Marina features a very wide range of stylish bars, restaurants and designer shops whilst the whole area portrays a high class atmosphere far away from the typical package-type holiday. After dark the Marina is colourfully lit and becomes the perfect setting for waterside dining and vibrant nightlife. Vilamoura Casino offers sophisticated gaming the Miro Lago room stages excellent music and dance shows.   • Notes on accommodation: Air-conditioning to lounge and bedrooms 1 and 2. We provide a personal meet and greet service at the start of the holiday with our English agent. We can also arrange for you to be collected from the airport with our agent for 26 Euros each way. Outside: Large enclosed and covered terrace area (appox 37 square metres) including table and 6 chairs for outside dining and living. Large main pool (approx 25 x 12 metres), kids pool (approx 8 metres in diametre, sun loungers, pool area shower. Attractively landscaped gardens and flowerbeds – all fully fenced and enclosed to provide a private and secure area for you and your children - access to the apartment is by entry phone. Private and secure parking space in the basement (electric garage door). Sunloungers and umbrellas are provided around the pool area, and we have four of our own sunloungers for use on our terrace and area immediatly in front of our apartment which leads onto a large grassed ares.
