Apartment in Alvor, Western Algarve - Superior Apartment with Pool and Sea View, in the Village and 5 Mins Walk to the Beach

Clube Alvor Ria is a recent complex by the harbor in the fishing village of Alvor. The apartment is on the first floor with a private terrace and has disabled access. The complex has an outdoor pool and secure parking. For golfers, the courses at Alto Golf and Country Club and Penina are just 5 minutes drive away. The long sandy beach, with cafe bars, is approximately 500m away. The village center of Alvor, with shops, supermarket, restaurants and cafe bars, is a short walk away.

About The Owner

I am 49 years and live in Parede (Cascais) with my wife, 2 children (12 & 8 years) and 1 dog. We love to travel, mostly outside Portugal, but because my wife is an Azores native, we usually spend our summer there, in Pico Island, where nature is still so close to heaven.

Why The Owner chose Alvor

While in continental Portugal, we simply love Alvor because it is such an unique and hidden gem among the almost crowded Algarve. Apart for the great conditions provided by the apartment and the complex itself, we are always vanished by the views and the location. Forget the car, park it in the garage and just walk: to the beach, to the pedestrian sidewalk along the ria, with its wooden bars, to the restaurants and mini-markets (hot bread until 10pm). We love our apartment.

What makes this apartment unique

The property is just five minutes walk from the wide and fabulous Alvor beach. If you prefer to stay in the complex, enjoy the pool while resting in our 4 long-chairs. If you love tennis, there is 2 public courts just opposite to the complex and you can access 5 golf courses on a 5/10 minutes car ride.

My husband and I spent 2 months at this property and it was as if my comfortable home in Canada was transported to Alvor. The apartment was so comfortable and nice that I could'nt help but feel like I was at home. The apartment is within walking distance to everything. There is even a Bus 5 min walk away that will take you into the larger city Portimao. I sincerely thank Joao fo allowing us the use of this lovely apartment.

Location,quality, and wide choice of restaurants, perfect!

We have stayed in Alvor many times, but were unable to go to our usual place, so we booked into a one bedroomed apartment. The location was stunning, everything on your doorstep yet secluded from the crowds or noise. The place was roomy well kitted out with comfortable beds and furniture. Balcony faced the sun most of the day and the views of lovely sunsets was the highlight of the day. Will definitely be going back here. We had great service form the owner, with good information sent to our email.

Faro airport to Alvor is approx 77 Km, about 45/60 minutes drive, mostly motorway. Car hire is advisable, but not essential with the availability of taxis and bus services. A train service is also available.


The village of Alvor is located between 2 big towns, Portimao (5km) and Lagos (17km).

Further Details:

In the village itself there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and gift shops. The beach, one of the longest in Algarve, has many eating places along it, with beautiful rocks and coves at the west corner.
