Set in glorious rolling countryside just outside Montegiorgio, Casa Aurelio is a lovingly restored farmhouse, comfortably furnished retaining many of the original features yet with all the modern facilities (including WiFi) necessary for an enjoyable holiday. Whether sitting by the swimming pool or on the terrace the views are simply stunning. A large, covered area outside the kitchen is ideal for barbecues and al fresco eating. Conveniently situated between the sea and the mountains Casa Aurelio offers the best of all worlds so your holiday can be as active or relaxing as you want.

Why Richard Venning chose Fermo

We had wanted to buy a second home in Italy for some time before we 'discovered' Le Marche and fell in love with the beauty of the landscape and the rich culture of the area. Early retirement gave us the time and opportunity. With the old farmhouse in such a lovely setting we saw the potential for vacations for both ourselves and holiday makers and were able to incorporate modern facilities into a traditional building. The feedback from guests reassures us that we made the right decision. There is so much to enjoy-the weather, the food and wine, the medieval hilltop towns which still retain their natural charm and the views across the rolling hills. Then in the evening - alfresco suppers, the sun sets, star gazing and the twinkling lights of the distant towns – are all memorable.

What makes this farmhouse unique

We enjoy the tranquillity but also the convenience of Casa Aurelio. All the facilities we need are just a short drive away- shops, banks, pharmacies, restaurants. Yet we feel completely 'away from it all' .In the spring and autumn we enjoy a 'second summer' relaxing in the landscaped garden or on the terrace. There are a number of really nice restaurants nearby specialising in local dishes (eg. game, mushrooms and truffle) or on the coast seafood and fish. We love spending a late evening in summer on the coast when, after the heat of the day the resorts really come alive. We always include a trip to the mountains to enjoy the beautiful views and the alpine flowers.

Notes on accommodation: The house has been planned as two completely self contained units. Only the larger part is rented out.There are no other guests.The smaller part is used by the owners from time to time.The privacy of guests is not affected by this and in particular the owners do not use the pool when they are being used by guests. The house has been restored to a high standard, is double glazed and centrally heated. All windows have insect screens and shutters. The house is not suitable for people with mobility problems nor for children under 6 years. Smoking is not allowed inside the house. Outside: The swimming pool is 10 x 5 metres and 1.5 metres deep. Six sun loungers and sun umbrella are provided on the adjacent terrace. The large garden, which is totally fenced in,has both lawn and terraced areas and is landscaped with olive trees,oleander,roses and lavender. Please note that the pool is opened in mid May and closed in mid September ( the season can be extended for an additional charge) Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels, including pool towels, and bed linen are included. The house is cleaned on departure and towels changed weekly. The pool is cleaned and serviced regularly. Other: The outside dining area with table and 6 chairs and BBQ is adjacent to the kitchen and is tiled, roofed and lit for al fresco eating day and night

Beautiful Hill Top Location, Private Pool

We have now stayed at this property for 3 times over the last 8 years. It is located in a fantastic hilltop location that affords beautiful sunsets and views to other hilltop towns. The private pool is maintained to the very highest standards and does make you wonder why even go to the nearby beaches?. The local area is awash with things to see and do. We especially like it because you really can get away from the rest of the world, so peaceful and quiet except for the odd thunderstorm at certain times of he year, but if you need it you still have access to TV and wifi internet. You do need a car to take advantage of this holiday home, take your own or hire one but it is a fantastic location. Rome is not to far away if you want to venture further.
