Villa in Kadicoy, Nr. Fethiye, Turkey - Rural Retreat Set In Foothills Of Taurus Mountains
Villa Zeytin is a fully equipped and air conditioned, luxury, detached villa with wi-fi. All the rooms are generous in size and the main bedroom has an en suite. The villa has a private pool, patios, balconies and an outside BBQ. It nestles in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the foothills of the Taurus mountain range, with panoramic views and tranquility rarely available these days. An ideal rural retreat and perfect place to escape the pressures of modern life, yet just 40 mins from the hustle and bustle of Fethiye, Calis, Kalkan or Olu Deniz. Travelling west from the villa you will reach Xantos where you will find much history amongst the ruins and then travelling on you will find the beautiful Patara beach with its endless white sand. Also the seaside towns of Kalkan and Kas. Nearer, within 15-20 minutes, is Tlos, Saklikent Gorge and the very Turkish village of Kemer. All daily provisions can be obtained locally in the village and the hospitality and value for money in the local roadside restaurants is amazing, a real experience. It is recommended that you hire a car, though there are local dolmus (buses) which travel to all the local villages and towns. There are many places for mountain bike enthusiasts and walkers including the Lycian Way.
The agent for this house lives on site and is available to give any help needed. He, Ayhan, will meet you when you arrive at the villa whatever the time and he will endeavour to make your stay perfect.

I'll always remember my holiday at Kadikoy as one of my best holidays ever. Fantastic days out at saklikent, boat trips from Fethiye and the amazing beach at Patara. River Daniel Sept 2012
From the Owner
“I bought this property because I fell in love with holidaying in Turkey and love the green countryside and the huge mountain ranges. The location is very rural and surrounded by local farming families. I like being in a part of Turkey that is very natural and the local people are very friendly. If you are looking for night life and hustle and bustle this property is not for you. If, however, like me you like to get to know another country, culture and people then this is an ideal location. The property sits amongst a small development of similar villas so there is someone who is on site looking after the villas all year round. This gives me peace of mind that the property is being looked after and also I know any guests will be taken care of and enjoy getting to know Ayhan.”
Activity and Interests
Special interest holidays:
The area is amazing for walking and mountain biking.
Also excellent for many historical archaeological sites
An easy 40 minute drive to the West takes you to the beach resorts of Calis and Olu Deniz. The 'world class' golden sandy beach at Patara is 40 minutes away in the other direction and is a must. The beach can be accessed by car or, alternatively, on day canoe trip. Patara also has spectacular ruins and amphitheatre which is a work in process at the moment. A little further you will find the popular seaside towns of Kalkan and Kas.
Closer to the villa are the ruins and amphitheatre at Tlos and the water park with bars and fresh trout. In Girmeler Alexander the Great's cave can be found with mineral, restorative baths nearby. Saklikent Gorge is a must with an amazing climb up the gorge and bars and market at the bottom. You can climb aboard rings and go downstream with the mountain water ending up with a mud bath. On the way to Saklikent you will find an amazing waterfall. After an initial fairly easy climb you come across a beautiful waterfall which you can stand under if you are brave enough to have your breath taken away!!
Dalaman airport is about a 70 min drive. Car hire is recommended. Car hire can be booked in advance. Detailed directions to the villa from the airport are available on request. We can arrange transfers on request at your cost.
5 mins drive to the local village of Kadikoy. 15 mins to Saklikent Gorge, the ancient city of Tlos and Yaka Park (Which have eating areas and trout farming). 40 mins to the ruins of Xanthos, Pinara and Patara. 40 mins to the lively harbour town of Fethiye and it's restaurants, shops and bustling market. 40 mins to another harbour town Kalkan. 45 mins to the ski resort of Seki.

They will provide an emergency local contact telephone number. Should you wish, they can arrange for local taxis, tours etc (at an additional charge payable locally).

From the Owner
“Villa Zeytin is quite near many tourist attraction such as Saklikent Gorge, Tlos and Patara beach but not so near that the peace and tranquility of the area is lost. You would definitely benefit from hiring a car whilst there but when it is not too hot a 15 minute walk from the villa will take you to the village and plenty of public transport. The local shops sell most things and Fethiye and Kemer towns are within reach. There are small local restaurants which I enjoy visiting and getting to know the owners. I like to cook at the villa and watch the sunset and enjoy the evening breeze. Sometimes it is hard to bother to eat out as the view from my balcony is gorgeous.”
