Apartment in Competa, Costa del Sol - Peaceful Location with Stunning Views to the Sea

Casa Rey apartment is a self-catering, air conditioned accommodation on the ground floor of the owner’s main residence with own private entrance. Use of the owner’s private pool is available during the summer months. As the owners run a shop in the village the usage is exclusive for most of the day. It is situated approx 2km from Competa and only 25 minutes to the coastal resort of Torrox. The property backs onto the Parque Natural of La Sierra de Tejeda, which is easily reachable by foot for those who enjoy walking and exploring this beautiful part of Axarquia.

About Alick

Alick & Debbie moved to this beautiful region of southern Spain in 2005 to start a new life in the Andalusian sunshine. Both had worked in the Greater London area for all their working lives prior to emigrating and were looking for a more relaxed lifestyle. Alick originally worked as a police officer in the Metropolitan Police and served for 5 years before moving into the financial services industry where he worked for 15 years prior to moving to Spain. Debbie had also worked in the financial services industry but latterly had a senior position working in the pharmaceutical industry. As well as letting out their apartment for holidaymakers they have a retail business in Competa and also run a property management business for owners of holiday rental properties. Recently, they have also become involved in a real estate business with a friend and colleague. They reside here with their two golden cocker spaniels, Timi & Maddie, who have become an attraction for many guests due to their friendly nature.

When we viewed this property we fell in love with the breathtaking views it has to offer. Also, its peaceful location yet proximity to the beautiful, cosmopolitan village of Competa was a perfect fit for us.

Absolutely stunning views would definitely recommend.

I really enjoyed my stay at this well equipped apartment. The views are to die for. There are some lovely restaurants in the village to eat and drink. A real quiet spot but near enough to a few lovely places to venture out. I would certainly recommend. Thank you to the owners Alick and Debbie and their two lovely dogs

A touch of Spanish magic

This is a very comfortable studio flat with everything you may need; stunning views and well situated near delightful Competa, which retains the authenticity of Andalucia. There is easy access to the Parque Natural with spectacular walks, nature and views. Our hosts were charming and welcoming. A gem and highly recommended.

~X~ Absolutely Perfect! ~X~

I have just come back from staying a week at this beautiful studio. It is such a perfect little 'retreat' to get away from it all. Yet it is in walking distance into the beautiful little town of Competa. There you will find all that you need. there is lots of restaurants our preference was Oscars. You do not need a car here but if you want to venture out and about car hire is available. There are friendly taxi services and also bus runs to get to wherever you decide to go. Competa has a beautiful church in the main square, a must see! there is an English speaking service occasionaly at 6pm on Sundays. This town will capture your heart if you love the traditional Spanish way of life. iThe studio itself has all that you need, my friend and I have no complaints at all. It is decorated lovely and immaculate inside. Alick and Debbie are the perfect hosts! They are there as and when you want them to be, they are very helpful and even offered us lifts if needed!

I have to add their adorable little dogs Maddie and Timmy made our holliday home from home :) Like their owners they are there if you want them to be! I would highly recommend this place and certainly will be returning again!

Excellent Views

Lovely self-contained studio.

Near to the beautiful town of Cómpeta - lots of lovely little restaurants and cafes.

Convenient to the coast.

Very friendly and accommodating hosts - could not do enough to help.

Outstanding views - quite breathtaking.

Highly recommended.

The only reason for our 4 stars rather than 5 is that the location of the property, as well as all others in the area, is slightly steep (although you do get used to it after a couple of days). Secondly, as the owners live above, there isn't anywhere private to sit. However, do not let this put you off because they do not encroach at all and are very respectful but it may not suit if you want complete privacy,
