Colour teletext TV / DVD with over 100 channels, BBC 1, 2, 3 & 4, ITV 1, 2, 3 & 4, channel 4 & 5, Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 & 4, Eurosport, National Geographic, Sky News & Movies PLUS 6 more movie channels ! The American style kitchen includes a full oven with hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, lots of cooking utensils and crockery.The property is complete with towels, linen, electrical fans, hairdryer, steam iron etc, maid service is provided between lets. Hello there! I'm Nic Rowe and I live part of the year with my wife in the mountainous countryside which surrounds the traditional white village of Frigiliana above the coast and the town of Nerja. Before we re-located to Spain, I worked for a major water utility company in England whereas Nancy, my wife, was an antique dealer also involved in antique restoration, a service which she continues to offer here in Spain.

Lovely location, beautiful complex

The property was clean and tidy, had all we needed with a lovely patio area which was lovely to sit and have breakfast each morning. Discreet support from Nic was greatly appreciated. He kindly organised transport to and from the airport.

The complex is safe, 2 large supermarkets within easy walking distance. A number of Pools a few seconds away, all beautiful, very clean and lifeguards present.

Beach is a good 15-20 min walk away but if you are fairly fit, is no problem and beach restaurants are wonderful.

Nerja town about 15-20 mins away, a good bus service available if you don't fancy driving.

Perfect holiday if you are happy to do some walking, complex ideal for younger kids, not too much for teenagers if you don't have a car.

Will definitely return. We had a wonderful, relaxing time.

Just smashing!

Actually, my cousin has stayed at this very same property and was really happy with it. We were not disappointed either - spotlessly clean, well equipped and, with discreet support from the local owners Nic and Nancy, we had a great holiday.

Nerja and , to be honest, the entire area, is a delight - no high-rise here, the town is so very Spanish and, again, so very friendly. Restaurants to die for and all at such reasonable prices, especially with the pound so very high!

We have no problem recommending this lovely property and beautiful El Capistrano to couples and families alike - thank you Nic and Nancy, we'll be back soon!

Happy here!

We have been to Spain many times but this was our first visit to Nerja and El Capistrano itself. What a lovely surprise it was - Nerja is super, very Spanish and friendly, clean and well cared for. During the day it's great to walk around and check out all the unique shops where there is really just so much to see (and buy).

During the evenings the streets are blocked to all traffic, cars, and all vehicles banned. It's then that all the lovely restaurants and bars spill out into the streets - shaded tables and chairs fill the streets. There are restaurants of every kind - so much choice and all at prices not seen in the UK for years - cheap to eat and it's all great home-cooked food

El Capistrano is splendid, go on-line and take a look - clean, well kept with armies of gardeners tending all day to the really extensive gardens and quaint walkways.

Here in' El Capistrano' they have three large, landscaped pools with two properly run 'kiddies' pools - safe and secure with lifeguards always looking out for you - cant fault it really.

Our accommodation certainly did not disappoint either, the property is spotlessly clean, well equipped and bright The owners, Nic and Nancy, were really nice and offered quality customer service, they really did - not 'in your face' but always on-hand to advise if you want it.

Really relaxing! and, if you go, don't forget the famous caves which really are anything but tacky - fascinating!

There are just so many beaches in and around Nerja with the largest directly below El Capistrano Village. This is 'Burriana' beach and again, loads of great places there to eat. Actually on the beach where they are barbequing fresh fish and meats all day long.

We recommend the area and, in particular, this villa to everybody, it's great, relaxing and really well-kept!

Great Little Find

We had been recommended to Nerja and El Capistrano Village in particular, we were not disappointed! It's a great place-an unspoilt very Spanish area with absolutely no 'high-rise' developments - really pretty, ideal for couples and families alike.

The villa is quietly situated in a very attractive traffic-free area of El Capistrano the 'Pueblo' area. Our booking was professionally handled from the very start with a discreet and helpful service from the owners Nick and Nancy. The villa is really attractive and well situated with every amenity carefully provided. Spotlessly clean and bright we could not fault this accomodation.

All around Nerja are spectacular mountains which give the whole area a unique feel - really attractive as are the many secluded beaches all along the coast.

We have decided to return to Nerja and happily to this particular property in the summer of 2015 which is why you will find two weeks in July are already booked - by us!

Nerja and the whole region in general is really very special. No high-rise building here! Nerja was a small fishing village originally. As it grew into a coastal town it retained it's character. There are any number of beautiful beaches in and around Nerja. The town itself has lost none of it's rural charm, quaint winding streets lead down to the impressive 'Balcon de Europe', a natural promintary striking out into the Mediterranean sea, now a smart focal point surrounded by a great range of traditional bars and restaurants. We chose El Capistrano Village area, within Nerja town because, for us, it has everything. Quaint and exceptionally well kept with every facility directly on-hand. Wedding Parties choose to come here for their photographs - that's how beautiful our grounds are!

Activity and Interests


Nerja and the surrounding area offer any number of beautiful beaches. There are separate beaches designated for naturists.

"Burriana", Nerja's largest and most cosmopolitan blue-flag beach is situated directly below "El Capistrano Village", here you will find all the facilities you could possibly need. You will find about every kind of bars and restaurants right there for you. Try the beach "Merenderos" where they barbeque for you all day long and late into the evening!


Malaga is the main airport serving the area but, flights to Granada and Almeria are frequently used as well. There is a good bus service from the airport via Malaga for less than 10 euros. You do not need a car.


Nerja is an ideal base from which to visit beautiful Andalucian cities such as Seville, Cordoba, Ronda, Granada and, don't forget the old city of Malaga itself with its lovely cathedral and the Picasso museum. The famous "Caves of Nerja", within short walking distance, are a "must see" attraction as is the old "white village" of Frigiliana Known as the village of three cultures (Christian, Moorish & Jewish) Frigiliana really is steeped in history - Don't forget to take your camera!

The area is one of outstanding natural beauty with rolling hills and impressive mountain scenery all around-Nerja is surrounded by the 'National Park of the Sierra Almijara and Axarquia'. Within easy short walking distance are just so many picturesque well-documented walks suitable for walkers at all levels from the beginner to the most experienced. There are also any number of guided walks on offer or, why not consider an 'Adventure day out' - this involves 4x4 off-road driving coupled with walks led by an experienced guide (pic-nic lunch provided), we have all the details you need. Off-road biking, conducted Mountain biking in the Axarquia, quad biking (helmets etc., supplied) along with cycling, horse riding, snorkeling, jet-skiing and diving all readily available locally - your choice!

Our villas are conveniently situated in the friendly 'Pueblo' area of El Capistrano. Here you can easily stroll to any of our three superb adult and two kiddies pools. We are conveniently situated directly above the beach so you can make the most of the great coastline. For those who enjoy a more active holiday the entire area offers many stunning walks. Head off towards the magnificent 'Caves of Nerja' just down the way in the traditional village of Maro. Apart for the caves themselves there are a number of easy and safe walks which await. There are also numerous escorted walks and adventure days out available. If you are looking for great food, there are plenty of casual and fine-dining restaurants all around us plus a full supermarket alongside Capistrano for when you choose to cook!

  • Notes on accommodation: Both of our holiday homes together with their private walled gardens and terraces are built on one level with no stairs involved and are particularily suitable for children. All of our three magnificent pools are very, very close by. Our properties are well maintained and, of course, 'nipping clean'! Outside: Both of our lovely properties have totally private walled gardens full equipped with leisure furniture and are situated very close to our three beautifully landscaped pool areas, with separate and safe children's pools, poolside bars, sun loungers, toilet/changing facilities and professional life-guards in attendance -our landscaped pool-side areas really are family friendly and beautifully presented!
