Villa near Torrox, Nerja, Malaga, Costa del Sol, Spain - Stunning Location In The Peaceful Torrox Countryside Near Nerja And Only 10 Mins From The Coast.

This beautiful villa enjoys breathtaking views of the Mediterranean sea and the Sierra Tajeda mountain range. There are spacious terraces, with a lovely built-in barbecue area and a large private swimming pool making it an ideal place for outdoor living and alfresco dining. Five minutes away is Torrox Pueblo, a typical Spanish village with a quaint square, church, tapas bars and restaurants. Torrox Costa with its sandy beaches and promenade lined with restaurants, pavement cafés and bars is a ten minute drive away with the bustling resort of Nerja fifteen minutes away. The villa is furnished and equipped to a high standard, with 2 double bedrooms (both en-suite and both with air conditioning), spacious lounge and kitchen/diner. There is a wood burning fire with an integrated CENTRAL HEATING SYSTEM, making it ideal for winter lets. There are golf courses nearby and the villa is a 45 minute drive from Malaga and 1.5 hours drive from the Sierra Nevada ski resort and the city of Granada with its cultural attractions including the world famous Alhambra Palace.

Notes on accommodation: There is a log burning fire in the lounge and central heating in all rooms. The bedrooms have air conditioning. The pool is gated for the safety of children. We provide a cot, high chair and baby bath for young children as well as beach and pool toys. We also provide an inclusive 'meet and greet' service for our clients. Outside: Approx 8x3m private swimming pool, open poolside shower, poolside changing and shower room. Covered poolside terrace and table and chairs. Range of sunbeds and parasols. 3 separate large terraces with tables/chairs for alfresco dining. All with spectacular sea and mountain views. Built in barbecue. Utility Room: Beach chairs, surf boards and children's beach toys. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels included (excluding pool/beach towels). We provide (at no extra charge) the additional service of a mid-stay villa clean and change of bedlinen/towels for two week rentals. Pool regularly cleaned during your stay. Hair dryer provided. Fantastic Villa

We have just returned home from Spain (to a very cold UK!!) having spent a sunny week at this lovely villa. Superbly equipped and very comfortable. All aspects are top quality and we did not want to leave. As soon as we stepped in, we had that “home from home feeling” and there is no doubt that we will return in the future. A credit to Jon the owner who was also very nice to deal with.

Fabulous villa with outstanding views.

A beautiful rural villa found in the mountains reached by a rather challenging drive. On arrival at Torrox we were met by Peter who was there to assist us in finding the villa and also explain the ins and outs we would need to be aware of during our two week stay. I must admit that Jon had already called me when I made the reservation to explain about the villa layout and also to ensure I was aware of the drive up to his property, wonderful service. On arrival we were greeted with own grown oranges and a bottle of red and white wine and an absolutely clean and fresh feel house. Although the water in the pool was a tad cool it was used daily to ensure my fitness regime continued since surgery. Everything that was required was available from 'glasses' to 'binoculars' to view the wonderful scenery and wildlife. We visited many places but owing to our enjoyment of some very local pueblo's and towns did not make it to Granada or Seville but, a return will solve that. There are restaurants in abundance and we found those in Frigiliana to be particularly good. Torrox Costa is a small town a short drive from the villa with a lovely beach front and many differing restaurants.

Margaret and I had a truly wonderful, peaceful and relaxing time in Jon's Spanish home. Thank you so much both to you and Peter for all the hard work put in to ensure your guests are looked after.

Fabulous Villa in Torrox

Stayed here for 10 nights and the Villa was exactly as it was portrayed on the Owners Direct website. It was very comfortable with high quality furniture, appliances and very good quality beds. Plenty of outside terraces with fantastic views. Very peaceful and quiet.

You will require a car to bring up the mountain to the villa, however, after a couple of trips it was less difficult.

Overall, we had a fantastic holiday both at the villa, and in Torrox town, where there a many good restaruants to choose from. John gave us excellent information before we travelled. We would definitely recommend John and Betty's fab villa.

Amazing villa in a stunning location

The villa is really well maintained (clean and tastefully decorated) and has all the mod cons you could wish for, a true home from home. The owner was really helpful with anything we asked for, including providing clear directions to the villa. The pool is amazing and a welcomed addition in the afternoon heat plus a great entertainment for the children. We loved the villa so much that we have already started planning when we will return next. I can confidently recommend this villa rental to my friends and family (which does not happen very often!).

Amazing views from a wonderful villa

This is a great villa with everything you need, in a quiet hillside location but close to beaches and restaurants. The pool is perfect and there are amazing views from here and the upper terrace, not to mention the indoor glazed terrace - so many places to chose from for the evening glass of wine.

When we first arrived we were met in the local village by Pete who took us to the villa and showed us around, so much better than trying to find a new villa by yourself, a very good service.

Thank you John for letting us share your wonderful home in Spain and we can't wait to return

Great villa

What a fantastic villa, everything you would ever need is here to make your holiday special. The views are spectacular from every corner of the villa and watching the sun go down after having a B-B-Q on the terrace will be a lasting memory of our holiday. Nearest beach (10 mins drive) is Torrox Costa with its long sandy beach with watersports and many restaurants and bars. About 15 mins drive from Torrox is the bustling seaside resort of Nerja.

At Velez Malaga (20 minutes drive) there is the Aquavelez Water Park, as well as a large hypermarket and shopping centre.


Malaga Airport is 45 mins by car. Car hire is essential.

Torrox Pueblo provides a good taxi and local public transport facilities as well as bus connections to Malaga City.


The pretty and historic Andalucian white village of Torrox Pueblo is 5 mins away. The village has many restaurants and bars, shops and banks. 10 minutes away is the costal resort of Torrox Costa with its scenic promenade and many restaurants and bars. 15 mins drive away is the bustling resort of Nerja.

Further Details:

Torrox provides the perfect base to explore Andalucia. You can visit the historic towns and white villages of Frigiliana and Competa and the nearby Sierra Tajeda national park with its many beautiful walks and opportunties to view the local wildlife. You can also visit the abandoned and recently restored El Acebuchal village and sample the traditional food offered by the local family run restaurant.

The historic city of Granada and the magnificent world heritage Alhambra site is only a 1.5 hour drive along a new motorway. Also Cordoba and Seville are quite accessible.

Malaga City is often overlooked as a place to visit but, at only a 45 minutes drive away, it has much to offer. Visit the Picasso Museum, the new Pompidou Centre, the Collection of the Russian Museum ( and the Automobile Museum ( both housed in an old tobacco factory. The latter is of interest beyond those fascinated with cars and includes an extensive collection of vintage and modern cars as well as accompanying high fashion from the 1920s onwards. Visit the Atavazanas market, the newly regenerated Port and shopping area and explore the galleries, bars and cafes of the trendy Soho area.

There are many other leisure activities such as golf, horseriding, walking, snorkeling and scuba diving, abseiling, hang gliding and kayaking at nearby at Torrox Costa and La Herradura.. During the year there are lots of feria (festivals) in Torrox and nearby towns and villages.
