Apartment in San Andres, Nr. Santa Cruz, Tenerife - On Edge of Anaga Natural Park and 10 minute Bus Ride to Santa Cruz

The flat is in a small new building overlooking the sea in the lively but not touristy village of San Andres. San Andres is located on the edge of the mountainous and beautiful Anaga Natural Park and only five minutes bus ride from Santa Cruz, the fascinating capital city of Tenerife. Las Terresitas, the best swimming beach on the island, is 5 minutes walk away. San Andres is full of excellent local fish restaurants. The flat has two double bedrooms, a living room, separate kitchen, bathroom with shower and a small balcony overlooking the sea. It is deal for up to 4 people, either a family or two couples. This area of north eastern Tenerife is perfect for walkers, swimmers, and local food lovers. It is a family home with WiFi, books, music and original artworks. The flat is on the second floor, and is serviced by a lift serving 5 flats. There are regular bus services to Santa Cruz, and also to the villages along the stunning northern coastline around Taganana.

About Paul Sander-Jackson

We bought the apartment to enable us to spend time with our daughter and grandchildren who live in nearby Santa Cruz. We spend several weeks each year in Tenerife and let the apartment when we are not there.

We live in Glastonbury, Somerset and are now retired but active in our local community.

beautiful flat and perfect location

We had a lovely time staying in this flat. The flat has got everything you need and it really feels like home. The living room is nice and bright and you can have your morning coffee and dinners while enjoying the beautiful sea view. We found San Andres to be the perfect location for exploring the north and best in our opinion part of Tenerife. If you would like to feel the real Tenerife this is the place.

We did not want to leave ,so we will be definitely back.

Another lovely Holiday in this Apartment

We are back again.The apartment is,as always clean and tidy ready for our stay. It looks like there are new easy chairs and couch wow they look nice.

The holiday was a great success,so close to the sea for swimming nearly everyday. Locale shopkeepers, and restaurants staff very friendly, even remembering us from previous visits. Walking in the Anaga is lovely, we,with help from friends found some new places to wander. Bus service here is very good , need to buy a bono card available a few doors down, for discounted fairs. Coach and bus trip from airport to flat very easy. We find this accommodation ideal,including its proximity for all the area has to offer. One last thing,the owners are very helpful and easy to contact.

lovely place to stay

Great place for a holiday , really nice apartment with all the things you need. The village has good shops for provisions for eating in , and a very good selection of restaurants.The apartment is well situated for the beach , the bus, and for walks in the hills. There is a small balcony for breakfast, an evening drink , or to watch the world go by. Bus services on the island are excellent, regular and well priced(buy a bono card) Beach is lovely, for swimming or relaxing. Thanks for a nice place to stay, booked again for November .

The Perfect Apartment

Myself, my partner and friend stayed here a while back. I am glad to see it is still available to let, as I would love to return. The flat is owned by a couple from England whose daughter lives in Tenerife and it was obvious that they did their research. Lovely apartment; clean, spacious, homely, well equipped, with a lovely tiny balcony with a sea view. Very good location, almost above a patisserie, with lovely cafes, shops and restaurants within yards. There is a lovely sandy beach a couple minutes walk away, and frequent and cheap buses to Santa Cruz stop fifty yards away. Santa Cruz is an interesting town, we enjoyed the art gallery, museum and free botanical gardens. There is a contemporary feel to the capital; many up-market shops- for example an enormous supermarket near the bus station which was like a posher Waitrose. People seem very friendly and helpful and the kids well behaved. As the advert says, San Andres is where the locals go during their free time; we weren't really aware of tourists. We didn't have the time to visit local restuarants, but they certainly looked inviting.

The sandy mile long beach of Las Terresitas is 5 minutes walk away. The beach is safe for year round swimming. It is used predomoninantly by Canarian people from Santa Cruz.

The dramatic north coast is 16 kms away or 40 minutes by bus over the spectacular mountains of the Anaga. Beaches there are very beautiful and good for surfing, although not supervised and visitors should be aware of the strong currents.


Tenerife North Airport (Las Rodeos) is approximately 25 kms away. Tenerife South Airport (Reina Sofia) is approximately 65 kms away. Both have good bus connections with Santa Cruz, and connecting buses (or taxis) to San Andres.

Car hire is not essential if people are prepared to use the very good local bus service. Car hire starts at about £80 per week.


Santa Cruz is 8 kms away. La Laguna - the old capital of the island and a world heritage site - is about 20 kms. The Teide mountain is approximately 50 kms - well worth the visit.

There are good basic local shops selling all essential food and drink in San Andres. There are excellent shops of all sorts in Santa Cruz. There are two banks with cash machiones in the village. There are an excellent range of restaurants and bars in the village - family run, and speicalising in fresh fish. There are a huge range of restaurants with international cuisine in Santa Cruz.

Flexible. The flat should be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Arrivals should be after 3pm unless by special arrangement.

Notes on prices:
A supplement of £20 per adult per week is payable for parties of more than 2 adults.
