This delightful apartment has use of 5 pools. The complex is ideally situated for the village center, only 2 minutes level walk away from main shops, bank, post office, etc. WIFI is provided. The apartment has one double bedroom, a large twin bedroom and two sofa beds in the main room. It is tastefully furnished throughout, with a fully equipped kitchen, oven and washing machine. Rental includes a welcome pack, weekly clean, linen change and local English-speaking contact.

About Sally Lockhart

Our apartment is co-owned, by Sally and Sue. Sue is married to Sally's brother!

We live near to each other, in south east England, and both work full time. We each have two children, all grown up now, and they are often in Kalkan too!

Why Sally Lockhart chose Lycian & Turquoise Coast

We wanted to buy a property in Kalkan because we love the village, the people and the food. We didn't really consider anywhere else - Sally fell in love with Kalkan in the early nineteen-nineties -when it was much smaller - and Sue was bowled over on her first, very fleeting visit, about fifteen years ago. Having our own apartment means we can enjoy holidays in Kalkan when we want to, as well as let it to others who will appreciate all that the place has to offer.

What makes this apartment unique

There are two things that people always say they love about our apartment. One is the view from the apartment either across the bay, or up to the hills, and the other is its location so close to the village (no hard climbs or taxi fares up the hill!). We think the convenience of five different pools in attractive and maintained landscaped gardens counts for a lot and we have tried to furnish and equip the apartment to make every stay comfortable and convenient, relaxing and refreshing and, most of all, enjoyable and entertaining.

Notes on accommodation: The apartment is air conditioned and has mosquito screens on windows. Air conditioning has hot setting for winter. Large water heater. Iphone comaptible speakers and hairdryer provided. WIFI, DVD player and TV (but Turkish TV reception is poor). High chair and cot can be provided at small additional charge. While not wishing to say no to smokers we do ask, in the interests of all our guests, that smoking be kept to a minimum and restricted to outside the apartment. Outside: The apartment is set in a beautifully maintained complex and has use of 5 pools - one large central pool and 4 smaller and more private. Sunbeds and parasols are provided with the apartment. The apartment has 2 terraces, one larger on the lower floor with dining table and chairs, one smaller on the top floor. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Apartment is cleaned once a week, including full linen change. Other: Balcony from main room has table and chairs for al fresco dining. Also small barbecue. Upstairs terrace has coffee table and chairs

A little piece of paradise.......

We had a fabulous week staying in this apartment. Location is perfect, 2 mins from the main strip into the old town or 2 mins up into newer part or 2 mins down the hill to the harbour area. Apartment was perfect as well, had everything we needed plus more, pool and garden area were spotless, the guys work all day keeping everything tidy and clean. Met some lovely people staying / living in the other apartments and had a lovely relaxing time by the pool. The views from the apartment are stunning and I would love to wake up to them every day if I could. Victoria, apartment manger, was fantastic, and very helpful when we needed her. Kalkan itself is wonderful..you will be spoilt for choice of where to eat and drink..and everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and ladies.....handbags, purses...you will need to get another suitcase to carry home all your new purchases! Doy Doy down near the harbour is probably our favourite place...but everywhere we went was great. We also visited the fish farm behind Kalkan at Islamlar up in the hills, about 20 min drive...well worth a trip, several restaurants, we ate at Pinarbasi, a nice breeze and stunning views of Kalkan from up there and another fabulous meal. And if you are just looking for drinks and a relaxed vibe then Botanik bar and Jackks Old Street Bar are worth a visit, great entertainment and great cocktails.

We will definitely be returning next year...we already can't wait! Thank you so much Sally xx

Everything we needed!

Great location - short walk to the Old Town (restaurants and shops).

Fabulous views.

The "Welcome Pack" was so much appreciated and the chocolate chip muffins left by Victoria were awesome.

Excellent property in great location

Just back from a great week staying in E3. Very clean, spacious property with the owners daughter also staying on the complex in case of problems (there weren't any) and to give local advice/recommendations. Facilities were equally as good. The very best things though are the views, both across the bay and of the mountains, and the location - literally 2 minutes walk from great bars and restaurants.....and into the very centre within 5 minutes walk....highly recommended.

A haven of beauty and relaxation!

Sally and Sue's apartment was gorgeous and perfectly situated in the heart of Kalkan. Set amongst very private and beautifully maintained grounds, and adorned with attractive plants and foliage, the Mediterranean Apartments complex instantly has a classy look about it. Our apartment was perfect for the three of us - clean, smart and with everything we could need to hand. We very much appreciated the provisions that had been left for us and it was helpful to chat to Sharon, who looks after the property, for some good local tips. Kalkan itself is a lovely resort and we made the most of the restaurants and enjoyed the local pebble beach. It was also an excellent base for visiting historical sites and exploring the area - both car hire and the local organised trips were very good value. Great atmosphere and some lovely people. Highly recommended!

Great location!

This was my 2nd time in Kalkan and this apartment was in a fantastic location for me. Kalkan is very hilly and last year I had to get taxi's everywhere as you just couldn't walk back up the hill as it was too steep. This apartment was in the centre and it was a flat walk into the main strip. The view from the apartment were stunning with sea vies and bougainvillea draping from all the balconies. There are 5 pools at the complex and this apartment has the largest and best pool with your own private sunbeds and parasol. There is remote controlled air conditioning which was a blessing as it was 45 degrees and thankfully all the rooms had units. Thanks again Sally for letting me stay in your lovely apartment.

Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

Local pebble beach is 5 mins walk from the apartment. Kalkan has 5 beach clubs with all facilities and all within easy reach. Patara beach (sand) is 20 mins by local bus. Kaputas beach (shingle) 10 mins by local bus.

Travel:

Nearest airport is Dalaman, 1½ - 2 hours drive. Please contact us for airport transfers and car hire information. Antalya airport is about 3 hours by car.

Distances:

Kalkan is surrounded by places of interest, most of which are within an hour's drive. These include Xanthos and Sydyma, the spectacular Saklikent gorge, the underwater remains at Kekova and the larger towns of Fethiye and Kas.

Further Details:

Kalkan has developed from a small fishing harbour and, despite its growth, has retained its charm and village atmosphere. There are several banks with ATM, a post office and a choice of supermarkets; English goods are increasingly available. The number and variety of restaurants is extensive and the food is excellent.

Reservations require a 25% deposit with balance payable eight weeks prior to start of booking, together with a refundable damage deposit of £250.

Changeover Day:
The apartment will be available from 4.00 pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 12.00 noon on the day of departure. In less busy periods, it may be possible to arrive earlier or stay later, although this must be discussed and agreed in advance.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Bookings can be taken for less or more than a full week, when a nightly rate - based on the applicable weekly rate - will be charged. There is a supplement of £25 per week if your party consists of more than 4 people. A 5% discount applies for bookings of more than two consecutive weeks.
