Apartment in Nice, Cote d'Azur - Home from Home - Everything you require on your doorstep

Situated in the heart of Nice, on the French Riviera, our apartment is available to rent all year round allowing you, your family and friends to share and experience the Cote d'Azur. Comfortably accommodating four people (with a sofa-bed in lounge which can sleep a further two), the attractive apartment retains many original Art Deco features such as wooden floors and ornate ceilings. Our aim is to create a home from home - somewhere you can arrive and settle into quickly, allowing you the freedom to enjoy your holiday in comfort. The apartment is found in the heart of the "quartier des musiciens" of Nice. With corner views and first floor location, you can open the French doors and 'watch the world go by' from the small balcony. For those needing easy access, or who have bags of shopping, there is a lift. The apartment consists of two bedrooms (one double, one twin - both with air conditioning), a lounge/diner (with double bed-settee), separate kitchen, bathroom (bath with shower attachment) and WC. Guestbook comments from the owner

Patricia and Joe made the booking and check-in process very easy. Their host Grace was able to arrange a private transfer from the airport as we had a late flight which was much appreciated especially with small children. We had a warm welcome and basic supplies and some treats were left for us on arrival. The apartment was lovely on the first floor of an art deco building. It was well decorated in a traditional French style. Both double bedrooms had adequate storage space and had air-conditioning units in each one. The kitchen was well appointed although we only really prepared breakfast here. The shower was powerful and there was an abundance of hot water and loads of towels which was a major plus. There was also a cupboard full of beach gear which came in very handy. The apartment was located very close to the train station making day trips easy. Antibes is recommended! Main shopping street, beach, tram, 3 bars and restaurants can all be accessed on foot from the apartment. Bakery, fruit and veg shop and grocery store are on your doorstep also. We had a lovely stay at Joe and Patricia's apartment and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. A wonderful stay in Nice, thank you.

Having tested the property ourselves with our own children, we welcome yours. Although the lift in the building is suitable for a buggy, it may be a little narrow for a wheelchair. For your convenience, a washing machine, indoor clothes airer, iron, ironing board, beach mats and parasols are all provided. We only believe in charging for the time you stay and so linen, towels, and heating (in winter) are all included. Upon arrival, the property will be clean with fresh bedlinen and towels. Although we do not expect guests to clean before departure, we ask that the apartment is left in an acceptable state. The area..... Famous for lovely beaches right along the coast - Nice, Villefranche sur Mer, Beaulieu sur Mer, Eze.... - the Cote d'Azur has loads more to offer. The rich history of the region means the city has a very distinct culture. A great wealth of fine architecture, a diverse cultural life, a myriad of museums and art galleries means there is something for everyone.

We had a lovely week in Nice. Apartment is handy for the station literally a five minute walk away. Took train to Monaco and Antibes, both worth a visit. Struck by the cleanliness of the apartment, very impressive.

Clean and bright apartment in central location

Clean and bright apartment. Everything you could need provided- description and photos give an accurate indication of what to expect. Good location for easy access to promenade, shops, train station. Despite being on a bustling intersection, we found no problem with noise. Ideal for us as a family of four. Efficient and friendly welcome from Marianne and Grace. We enjoyed the proximity of an excellent boulangerie just over the road!

A pretty place in a good location!

We really liked this place in Nice. We had a group of five and we were snug but comfortable. The apt is cool with moulding and hardwood floors and has a separate WC for those special moments. The AC worked well in the bedroom but did not cool the entire apt. The breeze from the sea was enough to cut the 85 degree Heat. It is a comfortable place and a good location to explore a great town. Good communication from the owners on some qquestions we had as well.

Lovely well cared for apartment, great location!

I stayed here with my husband and 3 adult daughters - a rare treat as they're all flying the nest! Convenient location with plenty of shops close by and a 10 to 15 min walk to the promenade. Well equipped kitchen, bed linen and towels supplied. Good communication with owners and agency staff so no hassle with collecting keys etc. Would definitely recommend!

very nice apartment, very well located

A very pritty, very clean and very well equipped apartment, very well located, very close to the station and around short and very comfortable 10 minutes of walking to the beach and the city center. Very kind owners and local key holders with perfect communication. Although we (my mother, my sister and my teenage daughter), arrived late at night they were very heartly welcome and could enjoy a pre-prepared breakfast next morning. Thank you very much for that! The girls made trips to the surroundings by train almost every day, which is very convenient due to station-closeness. Nice was very hot this June and the airconditioning did a very good job, still temperatures are elevated, also in the room, as you would need to expect at this time of the year. Due to its so very good location, the apartment is situated at a vivid street crossing, which guarantees also very good logistics and extremely short and convenient paths to the next bakery and fruit store, and brings along on the other hand at times maybe a bit more noise in the night, when the city activates e.g the garbage disposal. Overall a definitely very recommendable apartment and thank you , Joe and Patricia, also for your so fast, friendly and supportive communication!

Decent place

Overall, we enjoyed our stay however, the location is not in a very quiet area. The air conditioner did not work during a heat wave that occurred during our stay. We tried to keep the windows open for a breeze at night but with the combo of noise and air pollution from the motorcycles and cars constantly going by, even at 2-3 am, we did not experience restful nights. The apartment is located quite close to the train station. which was very nice for day trips to explore the French Riviera but probably explains the traffic in the area. The place was clean and furnished well.

However, we want to apologise for the impact the faulty air conditioning unit had on your experience. It was unfortunate that the unit began to malfunction just prior to your stay - which coincided with a heat wave!. We ordered a replacement immediately and it will be installed this week. Normally the combination of double glazed windows, functioning shutters and air conditioning ensures a good night's sleep. Again, sincere apologies. The situation has now been resolved. The (pebbled) beach is a 10-15 minute walk depending on whether you get attracted by the many provencal shops en route. If you prefer, you can pay to use one of the private, sandy breaches along the Promenade.

Alternatively, Antibes, Villefranche sur Mer, Juan les Pins or Cannes all have sandy beaches and are easily accessible by train.

Getting around Nice is easier than ever - the tram system is excellent as is the Vélo Blue (bicycle rental system).

You really don't need a car here as you are so centrally placed in Nice and the SNCF central station is less than a 5 minute walk away. The train line has excellent train links to Italy, Monaco, Eze, Menton, Antibes, Cannes etc.

If you are driving the auto-routes are excellent.

There is so much to see and do you will need several trips to do it all. You can get away into the mountains for skiing or walks, the promenade and beaches, the art galleries of St Paul de Vence, Villefranche, Cannes Film Festival, Monaco Grand Prix - it's all just a short trip away.

For the workaholic, WiFi is available in the apartment!

Local restaurants, a little bar, a mouthwatering greengrocers and several tasty boulangeries are all on your doorstep. Banks, a range of shops - everything you could possibly need are within a 10 minute walk.
