A 1 bedroom apartment in El Capistrano, Nerja, an exclusive development built in a typical Andalucian style of villas and apartments which has only added to and enhanced Nerjas charm. Found in what must be amongst the most beautiful part of the Costa del Sol with its excellent climate and relaxed atmosphere. El Capistrano is awash with colour, with footpaths threading their way between the whitewashed villas and apartments. The centre of Nerja is a pleasant walk, 1km away, and is also served by a public bus. The Burriana Beach, a blue flag beach, and the Mediterranean are also only 1km from Capistrano downhill. Amid the splendour of the gardens are 2 very attractive swimming pools with sunbeds and pool bars.

To ensure that we do not have any issues with carbon monoxide fumes, we are an all electric apartment.

Notes:
Outside: There is a covered terrace with table and 4 chairs, this overlooks a small private walled garden with 2 sunbeds and a BBQ. A flight of stairs takes you to 1 of the 2 magnificent landscaped communal pools, a further set of stairs takes you to the second pool both are served by a life guard. There is a pool bar serving both food and drinks. NB: The pool bar and life guard are seasonal. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and 4 bath towels are changed on a weekly basis. The property is cleaned by maid service ready for your arrival. Other: There is a triple length patio door, which opens up to a covered terrace with table and 4 chairs, this overlooks a small private walled garden with 2 sunbeds and a BBQ.

Simply beautiful

We have just returned from a two week stay in this lovely apartment and would highly recommend it. The owners were helpful in the booking process answering any questions I had promptly. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and clean with everything you need and more! I didn't cook, we just had breakfast and snack lunches in the apartment so can't comment on the equipment but it all seemed to be there! There is one swimming pool just at the top of the steps and the other pool a short walk away. The local Cave bar was very close, as was the supermarket on site, which sold a good variety of products but two larger supermarkets were also very near. As others have said, the only potential problem could be the area is very hilly, with quite a few steps but we knew this and it was fine for us. The views of the mountains were beautiful! We spent some of our days just relaxing in the private garden which was so quiet with sun all day (and areas of shade most of the day if needed) just popping up to the pool to cool down when we wanted a dip. We did spend one day round the pool, which is well maintained with lovely garden areas and a cafe/bar selling snacks, drinks etc, but decided we preferred the peace of the garden. Sun beds at the pool are €3 a day. Ken recommended Nerja taxis for airport transfers as we didn't want to hire a car and they were great, on time, beautiful clean cars with helpful courteous drivers. Fare was around €66 each way (plus tip). We also took a taxi ride out to Frigialana one day for a mooch around the market, what a beautiful village! So pretty, well worth a day out! Burriana beach was an easy downhill walk from the apartment, lovely beach with many bars and restaurants to choose from. The walk back was steep though so we did sometimes get a taxi back!! There are buses but we never seemed to time it right! Walking into Nerja town was slightly longer but still very easy and not so steep! Our first visit to Nerja and we would certainly return. Thank you Ken and Sue for a wonderful visit, we certainly hope to return soon!

It is like a home from home with everything you would need.

We especially loved the garden, deciding to spend the day there instead of going out on a couple of occasions. The lemon tree was the icing on the cake as it helped make 1 or 2 gin and tonics extra special. The complex is very clean and has all you need with a couple of local supermarkets as well. We will definitely be looking to return to both thi location and the property.

Nice House

Coast/Beach:

There are 7 beaches in and around Nerja. The biggest and probably the best is the Burriana beach, a blue flag beach it is the closest to our apartment about a 15 minute walk downhill, 3 minutes by car. There are some wonderful beach restaurants here, with AYO`s a must. Also there is a scuba diving school for experienced or first time divers.

Travel:

Malaga airport: 45-60 minutes by car. Granada airport 1 hour 15 mins by car. Car hire is not essential once in Nerja, but a car or taxi is the easiest way to reach Nerja. An airport taxi is about €85, a pre booked Nerja taxi charges €69 either way.

Distances:

Nerja town centre and famous Balcon de Europe is about a 20 minute walk, 1 euro by bus and 7 euros by taxi. Frigliana, a white mountain village (with a Sunday market) is about 10 minutes by car. The Nerja caves (very popular venue) are 5 minutes by car.

Further Details:

For tennis fans there are tennis courts at the entrance to Capistrano which you can book at the Capistrano reception area. The town centre has an abundance of restaurants, bars and cafes, with a truly cosmopolitan feel. For shopping, again the town centre has a wealth of shops from gift shops to designer. For food shopping Capistrano Village has a small but well stocked mini market. There are 2 larger supermarkets by the main entrance of Capistrano village, Supersol and Mercadonna .

Changeover Day:
There is no specific changeover day, but I do need your flight arrival/departure times. Under normal circumstances we do not have split days, your arrival and departure days are complete days.

Notes on prices:
N.B. no price increases for Easter, Whit or school half term holidays. There is a 10% discount on any 4 weeks or more between 21st Oct and 31st March.
Payment can be made by cheque (UK only),bank transfer, details on request, and by PayPal, note. there is a 3% surcharge for using PayPal.
