Apartment in El Capistrano Village, Nerja, Costa Del Sol - Set in a Whitewashed Andalucian Village, 15 mins Walk to the Beach

A 1 bedroom apartment in El Capistrano, Nerja, an exclusive development built in a typical Andalucian style of villas and apartments which has only added to and enhanced Nerjas charm. Found in what must be amongst the most beautiful part of the Costa del Sol with its excellent climate and relaxed atmosphere. El Capistrano is awash with colour, with footpaths threading their way between the whitewashed villas and apartments. The centre of Nerja is a pleasant walk, 1km away, and is also served by a public bus. The Burriana Beach, a blue flag beach, and the Mediterranean are also only 1km from Capistrano downhill. Amid the splendour of the gardens are 2 very attractive swimming pools with sunbeds and pool bars.

To ensure that we do not have any issues with carbon monoxide fumes, we are an all electric apartment. (Please enquire about our rates for 4 weeks or more)

Property is great, lovely and clean and has everything you need. Quite a few stairs though.

We have had a great time away and really impressed with the property. It is well kept and the complex is also very well maintained. The bed is the most comfortable we have ever had. We will certainly be returning again.

Fantastic holiday in El Capistrano, Nerja

Once we had booked the apartment, Ken provided us with comprehensive instructions on how to get there from the airport, where to park and where the apartment was located. We managed to find a parking space near the apartment most days. We stayed there for the month of October and were not disappointed as the weather was great all month. We made use of the garden area for eating and sunbathing. We also used the swimming pool nearest the apartment, however, it closed for the season a couple of days before we left on 31 October as did the pool bar at the other pool and the restaurant - we left on 2 November. The pub remained open serving food and drink. There are a couple of hotels nearby which have 'happy hours' and also sell food. The shop in the village sells lots of British products but there is also two large supermarkets nearby. Something to be aware of is that the village shop and Supermarkets nearby close on a Sunday. However, the next urbanisation, San Juan Capistrano, had a couple of supermarkets that remained open on a Sunday. As we were there for a month, the wifi and satellite TV were much appreciated. This is a beautiful complex within walking distance of Nerja and the beach - about 15 to 20 minutes.

A lovely relaxing place to stay

Fantastic place to stay, close to pool. Accommodation very comfortable with a lovely little secret garden where you can BBQ or chill and watch the sun go down. Ken and Sue the owners make arrival very simple with accurate easy to follow instructions. Will definitely be looking to return again soon - Nerja being one of my favorite locations. Would recommend.

Week in Nerja

Very comfortable, clean apartment on the ground floor with a lovely little garden. Well equipped with all we needed for a week away. It took about 25 minutes to walk into the centre of Nerja, which was fine with us. Two supermarkets within a 5 minute walk with everything you could need. Parking was fine near the apartment, although probably a lot more difficult in peak season. Lots of steps so not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties. Would recommend for couples who want to see a bit of the area and don't mind a bit of a walk. We didn't use the swimming pool but it looked very pleasant. The wifi was excellent, and we also appreciated the satellite tv with English channels. Loads of good restaurants, cafes and bars in Nerja and lovely beaches, especially the main Burriana beach.

There are 7 beaches in and around Nerja. The biggest and probably the best is the Burriana beach, a blue flag beach it is the closest to our apartment about a 15 minute walk downhill, 3 minutes by car. There are some wonderful beach restaurants here, with AYO`s a must. Also there is a scuba diving school for experienced or first time divers.


Malaga airport: 45-60 minutes by car. Granada airport 1 hour 15 mins by car. Car hire is not essential once in Nerja, but a car or taxi is the easiest way to reach Nerja. An airport taxi is about €85, a pre booked Nerja taxi charges €69 either way.


Nerja town centre and famous Balcon de Europe is about a 20 minute walk, 1 euro by bus and 7 euros by taxi. Frigliana, a white mountain village (with a Sunday market) is about 10 minutes by car. The Nerja caves (very popular venue) are 5 minutes by car.

For tennis fans there are tennis courts at the entrance to Capistrano which you can book at the Capistrano reception area. The town centre has an abundance of restaurants, bars and cafes, with a truly cosmopolitan feel. For shopping, again the town centre has a wealth of shops from gift shops to designer. For food shopping Capistrano Village has a small but well stocked mini market. There are 2 larger supermarkets by the main entrance of Capistrano village, Supersol and Mercadonna .

  • Outside: There is a covered terrace with table and 4 chairs, this overlooks a small private walled garden with 2 sunbeds and a BBQ. A flight of stairs takes you to 1 of the 2 magnificent landscaped communal pools, a further set of stairs takes you to the second pool both are served by a life guard. There is a pool bar serving both food and drinks. NB: The pool bar and life guard are seasonal. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and 4 bath towels are changed on a weekly basis. The property is cleaned by maid service ready for your arrival. Other: There is a triple length patio door, which opens up to a covered terrace with table and 4 chairs, this overlooks a small private walled garden with 2 sunbeds and a BBQ.
