Outside: The apartment has a south facing balcony overlooking the pool. Complete with furniture and loungers. The area is fully enclosed with door leading to the pool. The pool is surrounded with a large grassed area perfect for sun-bathing. Utility Room: On the ground floor there is a private storage/changing room with shower, washbasin and WC. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and linen are supplied. The apartment is cleaned prior to arrival. Additional cleaning may be provided for a charge on request. Other: There is a covered private parking space, although this can be difficult to access with a large car.

Comfortable, clean, great pool and good amenities

Stayed here in July with my family, two kids aged 10 and 9. The apartment was well equipped including a dishwasher, comfortable beds, microwave, air conditioning,TV with large selection of DVDs and a washing machine. The large terrace has a barbecue and looks out over the pool which is good for supervising the children. The pool is large and well maintained, it was quiet when we were there so we had the whole pool to ourselves much of the time. There is a shower area and toilet below the apartment at pool/ground level which has two good sun loungers and some beach equipment and toys which our kids made use of. The area of Sol Parc is a fairly quiet resort set amongst mature pine trees, there's a large play area for kids in amongst the pine trees and a selection of bars/restaurants. The large beach is superb, golden sand and shallow, so great for the kids, with beach bar at one end and large free car park, it also has the only golf course in Menorca. It has three mini supermarkets a bit more expensive than the larger ones to be found around Mahon/Citudella. From the apartment, a 15 minute walk along a stunning coastal path will take you into the neighbouring resort of Arenal d'en Castell to another great beach and selection of restaurants/bars, the path is uneven so wear decent footwear, the views are great. We did have a car so where not confined to one resort/area and used it to get to see more of this beautiful island. All in all we had a great time in our stay here and in Sol Parc.

Clean fresh apartment

It's the 2nd time we have stayed in this apartment , it was clean and roomy everything worked as it should. The local pubs and restaurants were a short walk away but we hire a small car so not a problem. We will definately use this apartment again . We had a great time. Thank you

A very tired 1 bathroomed apartment with poor access & not very clean. we were disappointed

The access is up steps from the road and then up 2 flights of steep stairs & all around the pool are steps. Getting our cases up was very difficult. We couldn't use any crockery, glasses, pots or cutlery etc until it had all gone through a hot dishwasher programme as it was all somewhat dirty, (e.g. teapot had mouldy dried sludge inside), luckily we took dishwasher tablets as none provided . One of the sliding wardrobe doors was hanging off, we managed to get it working again. Lock not working on patio door shutters, needed as one night there was very high wind. Windows didn't lock. Poolside shower room & WC was very dirty & quite unusable & down 2 flights of steep stairs so NOT a 2nd bathroom. A car should be advised as walking with shopping & beach gear up & down the hills was very difficult, also access to nice restaurants limited by foot. Hair dryer plug/wire dangerous and needs replacing. Pegs provided and a washing machine but no line or drier for towels/bathing suits etc. No current literature about resort or island, some 2003. We picked up some 2017 ones and left them there. Pool lovely & well maintained and the pine trees added atmosphere & sun loungers in good condition, & it was peaceful. We made the best of it, beach lovely once there and nice beach restaurant, and sunshine great. We took the bus to Fornells and Mahon, both of which we greatly enjoyed. However we would never have booked if it had been described properly and certainly cannot recommend it to others. It needs a good makeover & updating & refreshing.

'RE Your comments on steps Im afraid there is very little I can do about the location ..It is where it is. I am shocked 're your comment on crockery and will, take it up with the local folks who maintain the apartment..I know of nobody locally who provide dishwasher tablets per apartment Also will have the hairdryer checked I am surprised you found that the wardrobe door was hanging off occasionally it comes off of the runners and can be easily replaced..but I will have it checked. Many people ask if a car is advised and I always say yes if they wish to go to the expense of car hire..but as I think you found the local bus service is very good Once again I am sorry that you don't appear to have had as good a time as I would have liked ...but thank you for your review

Spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped

We (4 adults) had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay in the apartment which we found spacious, clean and comfortable. The bedrooms are a nice size with plenty of storage room for clothes. The combined living and dining area create a light airy atmosphere. The kitchen was well equipped and has a very useful large capacity fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is a washing machine on the rear balcony.

The large balcony has great views over the surrounding pine woodlands and over the pool area. The pool was ideal for cooling off with nice shade provided by the pine trees surrounding it. The owner provides loungers and parasols and other pool/beach equipment which are stored in a ground floor shower room close to the pool.

The apartment is located in the Tamarell's complex which is situated towards the top of the resort and was easily found from the owners directions and road signs. It is a short walk to the main areas for shopping, bars and entertainment. The resort has a fantastic beach with shallow sea, plenty of pub-bars and restaurants. The 'Mucky Duck' serves great food including proper fish and chips.

We would definitely recommend this apartment and hope to return ourselves in the future.

Delightful apartment and resort

Many years after visiting Son Parc as a couple we brought out 8 year old son to the resort and stayed at Tammarells. The location is a short walk (10-15 mins) from the local amenities (beach, shops, bars, etc) and contains one of the better swimming pools in the area. The apartment is basic in style (aren't they always) but well equipped and clean (a full sized fridge is a major plus). Minor problems with the air con and the shower were dealt with swiftly and to our satisfaction by the owner and his English representative so don't hesitate to talk to them as they are very helpful.

Speaking as someone with a history of back problems, the bed is extremely comfortable although the sofa bed is not ideal for casual sitting on.

The owner has kindly provided a good selection of books and DVDs should the weather not be kind.

The 'Son Parc strip' is in decline from previous years even though the resort is a lot busier and is sparse of bars and restaurants. That saying though, we ate well from well varied menus and certainly were not ripped off by very polite and obliging local staff.

The beach is the real gem in Son Parc with plenty of space and a nice shallow walk out into the warm water. Take a snorkel kit to watch the fishes. As an alternative, walk a little further (45 mins) east the other way along the cliffs to Arenal D'en Castell to visit another beach with very good bars and restaurants.

An excellent (safe) beach is within a 10 minute walk. However, there are many beaches on the Island which are worth exploring by car, often off the beaten track. It is also a pleasant walk across the cliff to the resort of Arenal D'en Castell, with an alternative beach and restaurants.


Mahon Airport is 20 minutes by car/taxi. There is a bus service from Son Parc. However, for exploring the Island a car is recommended.


Menorca is not a particularly large Island and anywhere can be reached by car in under an hour.

Further Details:

Menorca also has many entertainments for example: there is a Water Slide Park less than an hours drive away, or take a trip on a boat around Mahon Harbour. During the summer many of the villages have a Fiesta which is worth visiting (see local press). Horse riding and sailing are within a very short drive.
