Casa las Anclas is situated in the heart of Playa Blanca, 50 metres from the promenade and less than two minutes walk from the nearest beach. This apartment is ideal for a really relaxing holiday. It is ideally placed for all the local shops and restaurants. Its superb location means any walking you do will be completely of your own choice and hire of a car is unnecessary unless you want to visit other locations on the island. It is ideal for families, couples or two couples holidaying together. The apartment is extremely well equipped.

The French windows open from the lounge onto the balcony, which has the sun until about 4 pm winter and 5 pm summer, and looks onto the fascinating Calle Limones, pedestrianised high street.

The double bedroom, has coin-operated air-conditioning, a ceiling fan and a floor fan. The twin bedroom, has ceiling and floor fans. There is also a Z bed available for a fifth person, child or small adult. Both bedrooms are located at the rear of the apartment overlooking a small yard.

The kitchen is well-equipped kitchen with cooker, hob, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Breakfast bar adjoins to lounge area.

The bathroom has toilet, sink and excellent walk in shower.

Please note that while we have done everything possible to provide for a comfortable stay in Casa las Anclas, there are things outside our control that may affect you during your holiday. The continuity of supply of water and electricity is not as you may be accustomed to in the UK or Ireland. The supply is occasionally turned off for periods of time by the water/electricity companies, usually to do with maintenance of the system, and there is often no notification.

Whilst the apartment is quiet considering its location, it is nevertheless in the town centre and shouldn’t be expected to be quiet to the same extent as a villa in a community on the fringes of the town, or in a nearby village. The street is pedestrianised and so traffic is not an issue, but there is a café below, and people sit outside and therefore below the apartment balcony during the day and evening. If you encounter the odd insect, it isn’t a reflection on the cleaning or maintenance of the apartment, it is just the consequence of a different climate. Mosquitos are not usually a problem in Lanzarote, which doesn’t have the moist ground that they live in, but again you may encounter the odd one.

An Excellent Apartment !!

We had a lovely stay in this excellent apartment. Apart from the fact that the apartment is extremely comfortable, clean and well equipped, it is ideally located close to the beach, the promenade and all the local amenities. The balcony is ideal for chilling out and people-watching. The roof terrace is large and has great views. Playa Blanca is lovely. There are lots of really nice restaurants and lively enough in the evening without being noisy. We hope to return and stay in Casa las Anclas in the near future. Jack.

Great apartment as last time we stayed.

Great apartment as last time we stayed, only issues were the shop refit opposite but that can't be helped and is Café 34 under new management as they were open quite late and the police were called Friday night and a man arrested at approx. 12:30. These were the only issues but would return again in the near future.

lovely apartment right in centre of town

Very well equipped apartment right where you want to be. Minute from the beach and numerous good quality restaurants. Good bottle of wine provided on arrival was much appreciated. Linen and towels changed after a week. All just as reported on website.

The bar below was very friendly and hardly noticeable once inside the apartment, and right next door is a delightful coffe shop for morning cappuccinos and pastries.

The owners of the apartment also gave us great help and advice before our trip and were extremely approachable.

All in all a great trip and would recommend this apartment to all .

Very clean and in a great location. Wine and water awaiting us was appreciated.

We found the apartment to be very clean and in a great location. The welcome pack of wine and water was a lovely touch. It had everything we required and was cleaned after our 7th day there. Beach towels were also provided which was a plus as we did not need to bring any in our overweghted suitcases!

The rooftop terrace is lovely where we sunbathed and read our books. The views from there are brilliant.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others. Everything you see in the Owners Direct guide is there.

Much enjoyed holiday.

What can I say that hasn't already been said?

We recently had a fantastic three week holiday in this apartment. It was a real home from home experience, and the central location is ideal for all the amenities.

The sunny balcony provided lots of interest during our stay as it overlooks the main shopping street and the roof terrace has spectacular views over the area.

The owners gave us valuable and detailed information, with personal contact before we travelled.

We are happy to recommend the apartment to anyone thinking of holidaying in Playa Blanca, and we would stay there again.

Relaxation with sun and sea breezes

Flat was very pleasant and with it's open plan living space, seemed more spacious than expected, with balcony a great add on. All amenities available as outlined, and a problem with DVD player was addressed with a replacement within 2 hours. Playa Blanca is very relaxed and relaxing - lovely walks for all abilities, and this is the best part to stay in (as opposed to the expanding hotel wasteland to the east of the town). Recommend the 20 Euro short trip to Parque Nacionale for volcano action: driver was definitely no sissy, as the roads are somewhat hair raising for a full sized coach. We understood the reasons why much of Lanzarote looks like an abandoned road widening scheme, really surreal. Weather was great, sunshine and cool breezes. Restaurants tended to use too much salt, but flat was well equipped for cooking. Recommended especially to those who like to make their own entertainment (although there are many English people in town if you want company) especially if you haven't visited Lanzarote before.

We have been coming to Playa Blanca since 1997. We loved it so much it became our only overseas holiday destination. No stay is long enough. In 2005 we decided that if we were rarely going anywhere else, it would make sense to buy somewhere. We wanted somewhere central in the town and were lucky enough to come across Casa las Anclas. It was a bit of a risk for us as we are not rich people, but we decided to take a change and despite the recent economic downturn and the property market problems, we have never regretted our decision. Apparently, it is quite rare for non-Spanish people to own places in the town centre, so we feel quite lucky to have bought it.

Special interest holidays:

Playa Blanca offers great opportunity for those interested in a Diving holiday. Beginners can take advantage of the local diving schools that provide both equipment and instruction.

Lanzarote is a popular island for Cycling. There are bicycle hire shops in Playa Blanca that should be able to meet your needs. There is a pool available for public use at the Marina Rubicon area for a few euros per day.

If you like to Run or jog, then the Playa Blanca promenade is an ideal route.

If you are thinking of buying a place in Playa Blanca, the apartment is an ideal base for a Property Hunter due to its central location.

Coast/Beach:

The Playa Blanca promenade is 50 metres from the apartment. The Playa Blanca promenade extends for 3 miles in each direction along the coast and represents possibly one of the best coastal walks in Europe. The nearest beach is less than 2 minutes walk. The superb Playa Dorada beach is less than 10 minutes walk. A short walk along Calle Limones will provide a view of the fascinating harbour where the ferries depart for Fuerteventura and pleasure trips around the area can be boarded.

Travel:

Playa Blanca is 32 kilometers from the airport at Arrecife. Car hire is unnecessary whilst staying in the apartment unless you wish to visit other locations on the island. However, please mention in your enquiry if you need car hire or airport transfer.

Distances:

The apartment is literally in the heart of Playa Blanca close to all the amenities.

Further Details:

Lanzarote has many interesting attractions for such a small island. A visit to the Timanfaya National Park is a must for first-time visitors. Playa Blanca is a beautiful and relaxed resort with a delightful promenade, interesting shops and superb restaurants. Evening entertainment is available for those who like to spend pleasant relaxing evenings rather than expend lots of energy. The Canary Island climate is ideal for both Winter and Summer holidays. Winter daytime temperatures average about 20 degrees and summer temperatures about 30. Typically there is an accompanying light breeze that makes every day feel pleasant and comfortable. Annual rainfall is approximately 5 inches.

We find the same benefits as all our guests. The location is wonderful as you are in the nicest part of Playa Blanca (and it is all nice) close to the shops, the beach and the restaurants, and yet it is very quiet. We love to sit on the balcony and people watch. And we also like to go up on to the roof terrace for a barbecue, or just a quiet drink and a sit, gazing over to Playa Dorada, Fuerteventura or the impressive Ajache Grande mountain.
