The apartment is located in La Carihuela, a popular holiday area right by the sea. It is conveniently situated on the ground floor and is accessed through a pretty Andalusian style open-air courtyard, set within a small 3-storey complex. It is just a 2 minute walk to the sandy beaches, with restaurants, bars, shops and supermarkets close by. The Carihuela area is famous for its fish and seafood, served in the local restaurants and beach-bars. Television receiving UK channels (and others) plus Wi-Fi Internet access. There is a disabled parking bay outside the apartment.

Maria Carmen and Graham Pyle have owned the Carihuela, Torremolinos property since 2001. We live in Enfield UK, although we have relatives in Torremolinos, who look after the apartment for us. We have enjoyed family holidays in Torremolinos nearly every year since we bought the apartment and our two sons now also use the apartment for their own family holidays.

Spotless Secure Apartment

Just returned from our second stay in this property. When you enter this apartment you are entering sombody's home. Everything is there for you , high speed internet, UK/ IRISH television stations, modern air conditioning, strong lock on front door, Three minute walk from main beach, strip,resturants, grtocery stores. Five minute walk to the Catholic church. Six minute walk to the bus stops. No pool though, limited sun on the balcony because the property is on a narrow street. We loved it !!

Great Location, Close to Bars & Beach

The property is in a great location right near La Carihuela (20 Euro in a taxi from the airport) where all the restaurants, shops, bars and a number of Chiringuitos are located. It's located a short 1 minute walk to the beach, bars & restaurants, a 10 minute walk uphill to the main square in the centre of Torremolinos and 15 minutes from the Marina at Benalmadena.

The property is very secure with gated entrance to a small courtyard before entrance to the main property. When we stayed the bathroom had recently been tastefully updated to a modern and contemporary feel with shower, wash basin, toilet and bidet. The property has all the amenities needed for four adults / family with children comprising a separate kitchen with washing machine, tumble drier, fridge freezer, kettle, etc.. English TV Channels (to catch up on the days news in the morning) are available in the living room and there's a small area off the living room for dining if you want to cook yourself (not our thing whilst on holiday) and there's free WI-FI. We didn't spend a great deal of time in the apartment during our stay as we like to get out and about and enjoy the local hospitality but it was in a great location for our needs.

Graham was really helpful with the booking and really approachable and very accommodating with information / payments. The keys arrived as promised nearly 2 weeks before our departure and a really nice touch was a list of local restaurants where previous visitors had recommended along with directions / instructions for other useful essentials.

Based on what we paid for the whole holiday we were really happy with the whole experience. This was the first time I had used Owner's Direct after being directed to the website by a friend and was naturally a bit hesitant after being used to booking holidays with Thomson, Virgin, Jet 2, Thomas Cook, etc... but Graham was really friendly and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Graham, thanks for making the experience very stress free and we will certainly be in touch again if we decide to return to Torremolinos.

I loved staying here

Me and my partner stayed in this apartment and loved it has everything you need! Graham was a great help and kept in contact! Spacious apartment and well kept! Not far from the beach like 3 minute walk if even! Close to shops and bars everything u need is there :) would highly recommend this apartment and will hopefully stay again next year!

At home on holidays

Graham's apartment had all the home facilities you could want while being crystal clean within a quiet secure traditional courtyard. Amazing location .. Near beach shops and restaurants and while we didn't meet Graham, he was extremely professional and prompt regarding all our arrangements. This little haven is a really great find!

A fantastic find, exactly as described

The apartment is exactly as described in the advert and indeed just 2 minutes walk from the beach. Fully equipped with everything you would want or need on holidays. The court yard is beautiful to relax in and the neighbours, mostly local, were very friendly. The complex is quiet and extremely secure. The apartment is well maintained and I knew if we had any issues, Graham would have helped us out immediately. Everything ran smoothly and efficiently from the day I booked to the day I received the keys. It was so nice to have all the bars and restaurants so close and extremely handy to have the local supermarket at the end of the street. I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to recommend this apartment and I will most definitely return in the future. A great find which made our holiday all the more enjoyable.

Home from Home

Having stayed at this apartment for 1 week in April 2016, my husband and I re-booked for 10 nights, the apartment is ideally situated being so close to all amenities, in a pretty courtyard and very secure, it has everything you could need including washing machine and tumble dryer, the Internet and tv has very good service. Everything possible has been provide by the owners who have also been most helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend this property

From the Owner

We got to know Torremolinos when Maria Carmen's sister went to work there and she introduced us to 'La Carihuela', which is a vibrant area both during the day and at night. Apart from the lovely beaches, there are many bars, shops and restaurants of all types, many of which serve seafood specialities, typical of this part of the coast. Malaga airport is only about 20 minutes drive away.

Nearest Airport : Malaga at 9 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Many bars at 200 Metres Nearest Golf : Parador de Golf, Malaga at 4 Kilometres Nearest Train : Torremolinos (town) at 1 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Many restaurants at 200 Metres Nearest Beach : Carihuela at 300 Metres Car: not necessary


The apartment is 2 minutes from the seafront (if you walk slowly!!). La Carihuela is at the centre of a long beach-front promenade, with its sandy beaches, which stretch from Torremolinos to Benalmadena.

There are all the usual facilities, including beach bars, sun beds and showers. Walks along the promenade are very popular and for the more active, water sports facilities, boat-hire, ‘banana’ boat, parascending, windsurfing and water skiing can be found locally.


There are flights to Malaga from most main UK airports. The airport is located west of the city of Malaga, approx 9 kms (about 20 minutes drive) to the apartment.

Car hire is not essential, as all amenities are close by and buses/taxis are readily available. The railway station in Torremolinos town centre serves Malaga Airport and Malaga city to the east, Benalmadena and Fuengirola to the west.


Torremolinos town centre (15 mins walk or short bus ride) for shopping etc. Malaga (17kms, about ½ hour by bus or train) for that big shopping trip!

The Costa del Sol offers much to see and do, from water-parks (including Aquapark in Torremolinos), bowling and Tivoli World Theme Park to local ‘fiestas’ and places of historical interest such as Granada (140 kms) and Sevilla (225). Other local resorts include Benalmadena (7 kms), Fuengirola (21), Mijas 29), Puerto Banus (54)and Marbella (54).

Further Details:

There are numerous bars, hotels and nightspots, some with live music and many restaurants, offering a variety of cuisine. For the energetic, there are discotheques and night clubs.

Within the nearby pedestrians-only area, there are many interesting shops, selling clothes, leather, souvenirs etc, as well as bakeries, banks, supermarkets etc.

We ask for 25% of the rental price by way of deposit, followed by the remainder 8 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. Electricity and water costs are included in the price for short-term rental bookings. For bookings of less than one week we charge a minimum of 65% of the weekly rate. Discounts are available for bookings of 3 weeks or more. Please ask. Long lets are also available at good discounts.

The apartment is on the ground floor with access through an open-air Andalusian courtyard, so no queuing for lifts or walking up flights of stairs! This is a family-owned apartment, which is used regularly by family and friends. There are 2 comfortable full-size single beds in each of the 2 bedrooms. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, wash-basin, wc, bidet. The apartment complex is securely gated and you will have one key for this gate and one for the apartment. Outside: The apartment is accessed through a pretty Andalusian style open-air courtyard and is set within a small 3-storey complex of 24 homes. There is a discreet area for drying clothes (using clothes stand which can be found in the apartment). Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, iron/ironing board, storage area. Terrace, fully glazed (all windows opening), sun blinds, dining table with 6 chairs. Linen and towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels. Electricity and water costs are included in the rental price for short-term holiday lettings.
