Stunning House of Character, with adjoining private annexe from the pool area, perched on the cliff's edge of Xaghra Valley enjoying magnificent country and sea views from most of the villa. This authentic property is expertly converted and beautifully furnished and prides itself with country house characteristics. The villa is private, quiet and secluded but is within a five minute walking distance to the village of Xaghra which has all necessary amenities such as supermarkets, shops, banks and restaurants in the village square. An ideal holiday home for up to 3 families since it sleeps 12-14 people.

Magical property full of character and charm.

What an amazing property. So hard to describe this beautiful old house as the layout is huge and totally unique. We fell in love with its tranquility, character and charm. There is a tantalising sense of history within the walls and it has the feel of a well loved and cherished house. There was a beautiful big pool divides the two parts which suited our party perfectly giving everyone plenty of space to spread out. In fact it was quite easy to lose each other! The stone spiral staircases made it feel like a bit like a castle.

There were stunning views across the valley to Xaghra and down to Marsalform from many of the terraces and balconies and it is very well situated being close to the centre of Xaghra, perhaps a 10 minute stroll, where there are some fabulous restaurants and a beautiful church as well as local shops. The owner was very kind and extremely helpful when we needed information.

We have visited Gozo before but this house has been our favourite by far. Just fabulous. Thank you.

Beautiful farmhouse with great location

We have just come back from a wonderfully relaxing stay in this beautiful farmhouse. The facilities were perfect (beautiful private swimming pool, bbq, sunbeds etc) and the location is fantastic. It is situated 8 minutes by foot from Xaghra (where there are several lovely restaurants and a really fun late-night bar called Rubbles where the service is both extremely friendly and efficient) and ten minutes by foot from the capital Victoria. You can take a bus to almost anywhere on the island from Victoria (for only 1.5 Euros for a day pass) and everywhere is really close (maximum about 20 minutes). We went at the end of September to the beginning of October and the weather was lovely (about 28 degrees each day) and there weren't many tourists but lots of people out and about so it was lively whilst being relaxing. Graham (the owner of the villa) was extremely attentive before we arrived (he recommended a very good taxi service on Malta: Christina Sammut who was very reasonable and reliable as well as organising for us to be collected from Xaghra to take us to the villa free of charge). Overall, I would highly recommend this villa as you will have a fantastic experience. Poppy and Ben

Special interest holidays:

Xaghra has all necessary amenities such as supermarkets, shops, banks and some of the best restaurants in Gozo where diners can enjoy al fresco dining at the tables in the village piazza. The village has a valley of extraordinary beauty which is ideal for great country walks. Ramla - a beautiful sandy beach is in the Xaghra locality- a few minutes away from the Villa.

Coast/Beach:

Beaches and bays include amongst others, Ramla, the secluded sandy beach of San Blas not to mention the fantastic Blue Lagoon in the Island of Comino. All water sports are available including snorkeling and diving close to the village of Xaghra. Nearest beach: 1.5 miles

Travel:

10 minutes from the ferry boat.

Car hire is always recommended for exploring the Island.

Distances:

The villa is within a five minute walking distance to the village of Xaghra. A bicycle is available at the villa for daily errands to the village.

Gozo has several historical and UNESCO heritage sites: the historical Citadel in the Capital Victoria with its 360 degree view of Gozo; the Ggantija temples in Xaghra dating back to 5600BC. Gozo is ideal for lovely country walks especially in Spring and enjoys warm summers and mild winters with little rainfall. It is an island that has stopped in time, historically rich, enjoys traditions, folklore & festas, and has a natural Mediterranean charm with fresh Mediterranean fish and cuisine.
