About the Owner

I live in the North West with my partner and 2 children. We both work full time but do try to get over to Portugal whenever possible. The moment I arrive at my apartment I instantly feel all the pressure lift and I get straight out to the beach.

We are hoping to retire to the apartment one day and enjoy the beautiful weather and scenery, not to mention the fabulous golf in the not too distant future!

Superb stay

I've never delivered a 5star review on any previous rental however this one was well worth each point. Beautiful apartment, ideal location for the beach, golf, supermarket, pool.

Wonderful area to walk to the beach first thing and No: 11 resturant does a great morning omelette, (providing you don't mind chips at 10:00am) The shack does very good evening snack and cocktails. needs to stock up on Chivas Regal and Glenlivet however. In all great. Thanks.

We bought the apartment because it is in the most fabulous location. Just 5 minutes walk from the beach (over the wooden bridge which crosses the Ria Formosa estuary), another 5 minutes and you are at a beautiful lake which has a fabulous restaurant/champagne bar and all sorts of water sports and a swimming pool. The apartment development is alongside Sao Lourenco golf course which is one of the finest in Europe. There are 2 other courses, Quinta North & Quinta South which are 5 minutes in the car and both championship courses. We are close enough to walk to Four Seasons Country Club & Fairways and 3 or 4 lovely restaurants, also a small supermarket. Again about 7 minutes by car and you are at Quinta Shopping which is an exclusive development of shops, bars and restaurants.

Activity and Interests


5 minutes walk to miles of sandy beaches. There is a lovely shaded snack bar at the beach over the bridge where Victory Village residents have a private area of sunbeds for their use. These can be booked at reception at a discounted rate. You can drive to further beaches, Vale de Garrao is a 10 minute drive, and Vale Do Lobo about a 15 minute drive down the coast. The whole area is actually a nature reserve and bird sanctuary with amazing walks and fabulous views.


Faro Airport is about a 20 minute drive, and costs about 25 euros in a taxi. A hire car is recommended to drive to the shops etc. There are 3 restaurants within a short walk (5-10 minutes), and you can walk to the beach and the lake for water sports.


Nearest shopping centre is Quinta Shopping, about 2 miles away. Vale Do Lobo is about 6 miles away as is Almancil the nearest town. Loule a market town is about 15 miles away. There is a supermarket 2 minutes drive away at the roundabout opposite the tennis centre. There is a medical centre close by contact details for this provided with welcome pack after booking.

Further Details:

There are so many restaurants around the area it would be impossible to list them all. Names, addresses, telephone numbers are all available in the apartment, listed and grid referenced on a map. As are all local businesses, riding stables, doctors, etc. These are all shown in a magazine entitled 'Central Algarve' which is under the TV in the living room. Aqua Show (Water Park) is a 20 minute drive away in Quarteira and is highly recommended, as is Zoo Marine which is a bit further down the coast.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is flexible by agreement. I would ask you to please vacate the apartment before 11am on the day of departure. Check in on day of arrival from 3pm onwards.

The main benefits of the property are that it is in an extremely beautiful and peaceful area, but just a few minutes away by car and there is night life, restaurants, bars and shopping. The natural beauty of the area and the fabulous walks are also a benefit, it is actually built on a nature reserve and there is an abundance of wildlife, I have seen flamingos, Sea Eagles, Dolphins to name but a few. One of the best walks from the apartment is to Faro Island which takes about an hour and is really worthwhile, it is like going back in time and the sand is just beautiful up there. You also have everything you need at the apartment, 2 TVs with 70 channels each, DVD and Video and lots of childrens games and toys, it is also child friendly as well as being a tranquil retreat!

Heating and air conditioning are controlled from the same panels, one on wall in living room, and one in each of the bedrooms. Cots can be hired for 6 euros per day, high chairs for 3 euros per day, extra beds 15 euros per day and safes for 20 euros per week with a 15 euro deposit. Bikes (including children's bikes) can be hired by obtaining a leaflet from reception. The company is called 'Bike Shed' and they will deliver and collect free of charge. There is wi-fi access at the pool and it will soon be available throughout the development free of charge. Outside: Paved terrace leading onto gardens, furnished with 3 sun beds, table and 6 chairs with cushions for all of them and a parasol. Communal swimming pool 2 minutes walk away with showers and children's pool. Poolside bar for drinks and snacks, open March - end of September. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bath towels and linen included and changed twice a week. Property cleaned twice a week.
