Beautiful 3 bedroom modern duplex apartment with communal pool,5 mins from beach - wonderful views from terraces in a village setting

Beautiful modern apartment on upper 2 floors of a small development surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. It is in a quiet position with two large terraces giving spectacular views of the Bay of Roses and Pyrenees. The apartment is bright and airy and has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday including really comfy beds with cool cotton bedding. It offers every luxury convenience including heating/air conditioning. It overlooks a lovely communal pool and gardens. Situated in the village of Palau Saverdera (local shops and restaurants) . Palau Saverdera is 4km from the sea at Roses, 12km from Figueres (Salvador Dali Museum) and a 45 minute drive from Girona airport. The French border -30 minutes. Barcelona by train from Figueras in 90 minutes.

An excellent property very clean and well presented. Luxury description was accurate !.

The apartment was easy to locate and very nice. It was fitted out with all modern furniture and equipment, a real home from home. Everything you needed was there from the washing machine to the supply of quality shopping bags. There was a wide range of crockery and glasses even champagne flutes which got a good deal of use with the Cava being such good value. The shared pool was never busy, and was clean and warm enough to float about in for ages. It was peaceful and a great location to visit the local area. The only comment I would make was that the air-con struggled to keep the place cool. Would highly recommend it.

Fantastic family base

We've rented this apartment for the last two years, it's been the perfect base for our three generational family holiday in this idyllic corner of the Costa Brava. The apartment is really well equipped, very comfortable, quiet and safe for our young children, meanwhile the pool is a great facility for all. It comes highly recommended!

From the Owner

Wanted somewhere that was more than just a holiday place, wanted to live somewhere that still carries on living when the tourists have gone home. We also love Catalan food and wine. The ease of getting into France was a big plus! Why do we love the area? Well...not enough space to list them all but we love: the weather, the people, never running out interesting places to go and wonderful beaches Even in the middle of the summer its quiet in the village.

Car: necessary


5 mins drive to beaches of Roses, Sta Margarita & Empuriabrava - you can hire boats, jetski and windsurf. Within a 30 minute drive there are numerous beautiful beaches waiting to be discovered.


Girona airport is 40 minutes away by car and Perpignan airport 70 minutes (both served by Ryanair) Le Harvre to Palau is approximately 700 miles and can be driven to easily in 2 days. A car is essential to discover the area.


Palau Saverdera 500m - local shops

Figueres - (12km) Salvador Dali museum

Roses - (6km) Beach

Girona - (60km)

Cadaques/Port Lligat - (20km) Loved by artists, Salvador Dalis' house.

Palau has several small well stocked shops a pharmacy, butcher and baker. There are a number of restaurants in the village serving delicious local produce. Water park (open June to September) and F1/F2 Go-Karting 5 mins away. Open air markets in Roses, Empuriabrava and Figueres. Dali Museum in Figueres, Dalis house in port Lligat. Short drive to pretty village of Cadaques. Greek and Roman ruins of Empuries in L'Escala. Pretty Romanic village of Besalu in Garrotxa. City of Girona,etc. The French border is 20 minutes by car and Perpignan 45 mins.

Only 40 mins from Girona airport. Stunning uninterrupted views across the Bay of Roses from two balconies. Great village shop with bakery, deli counter and seasonal fruit and veg. Set in peaceful olive groves but only 5 mins by car from Roses. Close enough to beaches and other attractions but far enough away to escape to relative calm and quiet.

Access to the apartment is via walkways and ramps so is easy to access with buggies etc. The apartment is strictly no smoking. Wifi available. Outside: The apartment looks out over olive groves and vineyards and has a panoramic uninterrupted view over the Gulf of Roses. It has 3 terraces, one accessed through sliding windows from the living room which has an outside table and chairs for al-fresco eating. A second terrace is accessed from the master bedroom through sliding windows and has 2 sun loungers - great to watch the sun set with a cool drink! The third terrace is at the back of the apartment and is ideal for drying laundry. There are 2 shared pools is set in gardens, the minimum depth is 1.3m. Utility Room: Washing machine.
