Notes on accommodation: The living area and the 2 bedrooms have air conditioning for the summer months and heating for the winter evenings. Electricity is included in the rental rates from April to October. It will be metered and charged separately from November to March. For your peace of mind a smoke alarm has been fitted in the living area. Outside: The apartment's large and secluded south-west facing balcony is a wonderful spot for sunbathing and Al fresco dining. It is sheltered but benefits from the sun from mid-morning until sunset. It is equipped with a large glass dining table with seating for four, a retractable sun awning, 2 sun beds and a drinks table. With its lake and marina views it is a lovely spot for simply relaxing whilst sipping a drink and watching the sun go down and watching the beautiful swans and fish from the balcony. Only 2 minutes walk from the apartment is the 4 star Marina Club with its superb 30m outdoor pool, children's pool and restaurants with sun terrace. During the season our guests enjoy complimentary, unlimited access to this luxury facility. Normal daily charge ranges from 9 to 15 euros per person. The club has recently opened a luxury spa and gym with plunge pool, which is available to our guests for a local daily charge. A newly built municipal indoor swimming and gym is also located within easy walking distance. Utility Room: An iron, ironing board and 2 hairdryers have also been provided for your convenience. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: You will be provided with luxury towels, which will be changed twice a week and cotton bedlinen, which will be changed weekly. The rental also includes a welcome pack. Cleaning during your stay is available at a extra cost. Other: We have excellent dedicated Wi-fi internet access with Apple TV and Chrome Cast dongle

Excellent Appartment located on Lagos Marina

We stayed in this apartment for four weeks in April/May

Location is superb and ideally situated for both the Marina and the superb Mia Pria beach.

The apartment is very well equipped to a very high standard with Multi channel television,DVD player,DVD's and plenty of Books to read.

Near to the apartment is the excellent Pingo Doce supermarket which is very reasonably priced.

There are plenty of Restaurants in both the Marina and in Lagos itself.

We will certainly be returning again next year.

Excellent Apartment

This was our 2nd time staying in this excellent apartment, which is equipped with everything that you could possibly need, even a great selection of books for reading. We enjoyed sitting out on the large balcony which has the sun on it from morning through to the evening, and also has a sun canopy if needed. It is situated with 2 mins walk of the new Pingo Doce Supermarket and to the Marina with its selection of various restaurants. The beds are very comfortable and everything is spotlessly clean, it was also great to be left a few food supplies to get you started, like bread, milk, butter, eggs, fruit and a few drinks.

Anthony and Karen have furnished it to a high standard and we have found the booking and communicating with them to be very smooth and we look forward to staying here again.

Another lovely holiday in our favourite place

We have had another fabulous holiday in our favourite place in this beautiful apartment. We stayed for 12 nights and didn’t want to come home.

The apartment is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Each time we go home improvements have been completed. This time the living room had new furniture which looked lovely and made the apartment feel more spacious and new units in the kitchen made it much easier to store things and to prepare meals. There was also a new tv box which was really easy to use with lots of English and other channels.

The apartment is only a 5 minute walk from a really well stocked supermarket Pingo Doce. Most days we had lunch on the balcony which was really pleasant before we walked down to to the beach or into town.

The apartment is in a great location with a lovely view of the Marina and the lake and only a 10 minute walk each way to the town or to the beach. We love Lagos and have seen it getting busier as everyone we know who visits goes back again and again.

Karen and Antony always provide a first class customer service and do everything they can to ensure a great holiday.

Can’t wait to go back next year!!

Coast/Beach:

The beaches around Lagos are amongst the most beautiful in the Algarve, none more so than Meia Praia which is only 5 mins walk from the marina. It forms part of one of the largest bays in Europe and is a spectacular 4kms of white sand. It never seems too crowded and sunbeds and parasols are available for hire. There are plenty of cafes and good restaurants on the beach. Within a 5 - 10 mins drive are numerous other family friendly beaches such as Dona Ana, Luz, Burgau, Camillo, and Salema.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Faro at around 75km. One can reach Lagos directly by motorway from Faro in about 45 mins. The railway station is situated a couple of minutes walk from the apartment. Although car hire is not necessary, as both beach and town are within easy walking distance, a car is recommended, as there is so much to see and do in the Algarve.

Distances:

The old town of Lagos is only 5 mins walk from the marina. Enclosed within 5th century walls, Lagos is rich in historical buildings and Moorish architecture. It is packed with traditional and modern shops. On the narrow cobbled streets you will find cafes, restaurants and bars catering for all tastes. With its relaxed atmosphere and quiet charm Lagos is one of the most appealing locations in the Algarve. At night the old town comes alive with open-air stalls, street entertainers and artists.

Further Details:

In addition to the outdoor pools and terraces to which our guests enjoy complimentary access, the Marina Club has recently opened a luxury spa with gym and indoor plunge pool. For a local charge our guests can make use of this facility and take advantage of the wonderful relaxing treatments which are now available. A recently opened municipal health complex is located a few minutes walk from the apartment. Here for a charge of around 4 euros you will find a competition size indoor pool and a large state of the art gym, classes are also available. Two minutes walk from the apartment, you will also find an excellent supermarket - Pingo Doce. Here you will find everything you need from fresh fish, meat and fruit to wines, freshly baked bread and pastries. From the marina visitors can book many activities, including wind surfing, diving, surfing, water skiing, big game fishing, boat trips, dolphin safaris and cycling. The nearest restaurants to the apartment are only 2 mins walk away. There are many easy day trips you can make from the marina, including water parks, zoo, the mountains of Monchique and the west coast with its spectacular beaches that are so popular with surfers. And don't forget Lagos town itself with its Museum, baroque church, 18th century fort, art galleries, cultural centre, open-air summer concerts and daily fish market.

Booking Notes:
25% deposit required at time of booking, remainder to paid in full, 8 weeks prior to arrival. For longer term Winter bookings, a deposit of 30% is required. A security deposit of £300 will be required with the final payment. This will be returned within a week of departure from the property. Please note this deposit will not be used against any minor damage such as broken glassware or crockery.

Changeover Day:
Saturday changeover day, however this is flexible in low season. The apartment will be available from 14h on arrival and should be vacated by 10h on day of departure. We will try to accommodate any reasonable variations on these timings where possible.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK sterling. Discount for second week available in low season. Winter rates based on 2 person occupancy, please add £25 per person per week for additional occupants. Discounted long-term winter lets available. Please enquire for Easter and Christmas/New Year rates. Christmas rates include a luxury welcome pack and Christmas decorations. An extra bed for a child is available for a charge of £50 per week.
