Why Frances chose Perigord Blanc
It was an area we knew well and Perigueux is a great attraction with its medieval city, Roman ruins and Renaissance centre. The strawberries grown in the local area are lovely too!
There are plenty of castles and chateaux to explore, canoeing on the Dordogne and Vezere rivers, and of course the gastronomic delights served in many of the local restaurants.

We stayed 10 nights in this wonderful cottage, we booked very last minute so were unsure what to expect, the cottage far exceeded expectations. Very well equipped, spacious, bright and airy, plenty of space and incredibly quiet. The pool was just steps away and gets the sun all day with the bonus of a lovely view. Frances and Piers were very welcoming and helpful. The cottage is located in a rural location, which was lovely, it's about 15 minutes drive to the nearest town and supermarket, a bit further if you want a wider selection of restaurants etc. Also within easy reach of Bergerac and many other towns worth a visit. We would definitely return to this lovely cottage and we will be back.
