I live in London with my wife and four children. We travel to Cannes as often as we can through the year.

I'd being attending conferences in Cannes for several years and often dreamed of one day owning an apartment there. On my early visits I'd stayed at hotels including the lovely Majestic, but then switched to renting apartments as when you're staying for a week you miss your home comforts, the simple things like a kettle and a toaster.

The breakthrough for me was meeting local Cannes people (Cannois) That gave me the chance to search for the ideal property with greater confidence thanks to their help.

Why Peter Clee chose Le Suquet

As someone who'd stayed in rented Cannes apartments before, I had some golden rules to look out for; a location close to the Palais des Festivals being top of the list. This apartment on Rue Felix Faure really does have it all for both conference goers and holiday-makers: 2 mins walk from the Palais des Festivals. Less than 5 mins walk to La Croisette beach and 10 mins walk from the family friendly Plage du Midi. The main shopping street in Cannes, the Rue D'Antibes, starts just a few metres away. The small shops in the old town are in the area too and the wonderful Forville market is just a few minutes walk. The Nice Aeroport bus stops a few hundred metres -away. The main train station is less than 5 mins away with access to east to Nice, Monaco and north to Paris.

What makes this apartment unique

The location provides direct access to all Cannes has to offer, be it great beaches, fine food, classy or quirky shopping.

The extra bonus with the apartment is that it has two bathrooms (one bathroom, one shower-room), both with WC and sink, one on each floor. As the apartment is a duplex, this means if you're sharing there's more privacy, even though it's only a one bedroomed flat.

The apartment is on Rue Felix Faure, a harbour front road with many seafood restaurants. The beginning of Rue D'Antibes, Cannes busiest shopping street, is just 25 metres from the flat.
