Pine Walk location, just a few metres from the Beach

A quick introduction……….A nice bright apartment in a superb position, just 20 steps from the beautiful Puerto Pollensa beach. Situated on the 2nd floor with lift access, al-fresco dining on the balcony, which overlooks the dramatic Tramuntana Mountain Range, with all your home requirements. Our apartment offers an experience at the heart of Puerto Pollensa, with restaurants, café’s and shopping just on your doorstep, encompassing every aspect of the town, whatever your tastes. As you exit the building onto Pescador you can choose your route, straight on to the beach, turn right and choose from a host of restaurants and cafes or turn left and take a quiet strolls along the Pine Walk. Alternatively you can exit onto the Formentor Road, close to the Mar Senses Hotel, which has a beautiful swimming pool, a poolside bar and a Spa/gym. This is well worth a visit. Crossing the Formentor Road you can find plenty of free parking if you a hiring a car.

Now to offer a bit more detail…………….This is a well-positioned 2-bedroom apartment adjacent to the elegant Pine Walk, which skirts the seafront. The apartment, situated on the second floor, is bright and comfortably furnished, comprising a lounge/diner with picture window-doors leading to an enclosed balcony with views across to the mountain range, providing a dramatic backdrop, ideal for dining and sundowners. One of the attraction of this apartment is its location which is in close proximity to the sandy beach, the Pine Walk and all that Puerto Pollensa has to offer such as the various restaurants, bars, shops and the resorts ambience. This is a family owned apartment which aims to deliver comfortable, attractive, accommodation for 'friends and family'. At the top of the apartment block is a roof terrace overlooking the beach, which is great for an evening drink and watching the sun set over the lovely bay and the town of Alcudia in the distance.

Those of you who know Puerto Pollenca will know the location of the apartment, close enough to the beach, sandwiched between the Formentor Road and Pescador, adjacent to the Corb Mari restaurant and above the mini market Vora Mar. The Vora Mar is not noisy but does have occasional deliveries. The map shows and the photographs show the position and the location. Many guests comment on the position relative to the excellent rental price. Our price reflects two factors. Firstly the balcony faces the mountains, not the sea and whilst we do not have a dedicated pool there are options for visiting two pools at Mar Senses (adults only) and Laguna amongst others. One advantage of being close but not on the beach is that you will not see the pedestrians looking in on you! Those clients who need beachside and a pool both may expect to pay half as much again for a sea view and a pool, but these are few and far between. But actually it is possible to get the best of both worlds. The balcony is bathed in sunshine in the afternoon and it is possible to access the Mar Senses pool for just €7 or Laguna for free.

Why The Owner chose Pollenca

As you know, the apartment is right by the beach and the Pine Walk, providing a perfect location for holidays. The apartment is also situated just a few minutes from the Square where the options for bars, cafes and restaurants are numerous. The apartment is located between Pescador and the Formentor Road, in the middle of the bay, between the Illa D'Or Hotel and the Marina so it's very central. It is very well priced but this price does not mean compromising. If you have any questions do email and we will be pleased to answer your queries.

What makes this apartment unique

Perfectly located, we are very close to the beach and Pine Walk so we can pop back for lunch and a drink, a shower or a snooze. Nearby there are plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes, together with the Square, Pine Walk, the mountains and Pollensa Town.

The apartment block has a superb roof terrace which overlooks the Voramar Beach, providing magnificent views across the bay towards the light house, Alcudia and the marina.

LOCATION

For good value and location look no further.

Our bright and airy apartment is in a great location. Not only is it by the beach and elegant Pine Walk but also the apartment is located close by plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes. For example the Pine Walk, a tree-fringed walkway that clings to the coast is brimming with seafood restaurants and a setting for strolls between the Illa D’Or Hotel and the Marina. The main square, Plaza Miguel Capllonch, is lined on 3-sides with restaurants and bars, and home to a busy market on Wednesdays. This is just 3 minutes away. Our apartment is ideally positioned for a great vacation for families, friends and our guests.

BEACHES

Puerto Pollensa has 2 great beaches to its name. There’s Pollensa Beach, a kilometre-long expanse of golden sand with plenty of watersports options and sunloungers, just south of the marina and Albercutx (Voramar) Beach, a narrow 2-kilometre strip that’s really family-friendly, thanks to its shallow water and natural shade. The apartment is by this beach. Note the apartments balcony faces the mountains.

POOL

Friends and family about swimming pool access, despite the azure Mediterranean ocean being just a few metres from the apartment, with the gently shelving sandy beach and safe bathing. It foregoes that film of sun lotion, the chlorine and the general 'whoop n holler'. The apartment does not have a dedicated pool, however there is access to a nearby pool 50 metres away, with sun chairs and a pool bar. This is at Mar Senses, well worth a visit and can be viewed online. The entrance fee is €7 and is adults only. Mar Senses also has a Spa, a Gym and a restaurant. In addition there is also ‘Laguna’, a 6-8 minute walk away (source google maps) towards the Illa D’Or Hotel and also has a bar/restaurant, sun loungers and umbrellas. Laguna can also be viewed online.

CYCLING

Majorca is one of the most popular training destinations for pro riders due to the varied terrain and mild weather conditions during the off-season months. Several other teams are likely to be using the island as a training base.

The island has excellent qualities for cycling and discovering them is an unforgettable experience. The quality of the roads, the outstanding natural beauty, the beaches, mountains, culture, gastronomy and excellent climate all become a dream for your perfect cycling holiday.

BIRD WATCHING

Bird Watching (Boquer, Albufera) 15 minutes. 315 species

Puerto Pollensa is a wonderful destination for birdwatching. Most Med islands are relatively dry and unattractive to ducks, terns, gulls, herons, egrets and wading birds whereas Mallorca has the fabulous marsh of Albufera, probably the best wetland site on any Mediterranean island. Mallorca is home to birds such as Black Vulture, Eleonora's Falcon, Audouin's Gull, Moustached Warbler and Marmora's Warbler which are all very rare or difficult to see in the rest of Europe. Puerto Pollensa makes the perfect base as it is close to the Albufuera marsh, the mountains in the north of the island and the sea cliffs of Formentor. There are also several great bird watching spots within walking distance of the town, including the Boquer valley which is great for migrants. If you come during the spring migration season (especially mid-April to mid-May) you'll meet lots of other birdwatchers and get plenty of information on what's about.

FORMENTOR

During the summer months there are plenty of opportunities to take boat trips across the calm sea in the North of Mallorca. There is a regular boat service from the popular tourist town of Puerto Pollensa to the beach at Formentor, where the sea is clear blue and the sand is soft. The boat takes around 25 minutes and sets off from the harbour at 11am,12pm, 1pm, 3pm and 4pm with boats returning every 30 minutes after that, with the last boat returning from Formentor at 6pm. As you round the lighthouse, look up towards La Fortaleza, a setting for the TV series for John Le Carre's 'The Night Manager'. The beach at Formentor is stunning, especially the clear blue water. There is plenty of natural shade on the beach provided by huge pine trees that overhang the sand.

The town scores highly in the beauty stakes. Right behind the beach is Pine Walk, a tree-fringed walkway that clings to the coast. Utility Room: No washing machine, but there is an inexpensive laundry service available all year nearby in Vicente Buades (road) close by. Hand washed clothes dry quickly on the balcony in the warm weather. An iron and ironing board is provided. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Cleaning, linen and bath towels are provided if required. A beach towels is also provided. The apartment has an enclosed balcony with views across to the Tramantana mountain range. Balcony furniture, comprising a table and chairs are provided for dining, relaxation and 'sundowners' as the balcony is bathed in sunshine in the afternoon/evening.

Lovely Apartment - Fantastic Location

After visiting Puerto Pollensa for many years and staying in various types of accommodation, we found this apartment to be a hidden gem.

The location is superb. A few seconds walk to the beach, cafes, restaurants and the Pine Walk right on the doorstep. What more could you ask for? The Main Square and the Marina are just a few minutes walk away.

The apartment had everything we needed, was very clean and we felt it was great value for money.

The Owner, Nigel, was extremely helpful at all times and we will definitely visit again in the future.

We would highly recommend the apartment to anyone

Travelled with my wife and 86 year old Mother.Apartment very comfortable and great location just walk out your door and everything nearby.Breakfast in Al Fresco deli, lunch or dinner in Can Pescador.

Just like purchasing a house " location location location"

Nigel also gives great back up if required and can only add my praise to all the previous reviews for this apartment.

Great location.

The apartment is in a great central location. Nigel the owner is very helpful. The apartment is well equipped and clean.

We stayed with 2 small children a fi would say that it is perhaps better suited for older children or a couple. The balcony is dangerous for small children and there is not enough room for a family of four to eat there. So we had to keep the door closed all the time for safety.

Also there is no air con and only 2 fans that are not that effective so it can feel very warm inside.

Overall we enjoyed our stay with the location great for beach, restaurants,shops etc.

However, I wouldn't recommend for young children

We can understand that a second floor apartment with a balcony is not suited to everyone, so perhaps a ground floor apartment is preferable for those with young children and we can emphasise this point to future guests. For their benefit, perhaps it is worth pointing out that the balcony is linear being 1.5 m deep and 6 m long. The top safety railing is approx 1m high with the top rail curving inwards, so as to prevent climbing. The awning can be lowered for additional security. We will add another photo of the balcony to illustrate this. In term of dining, perhaps the balcony is better for snacks and drinks, but there is a roof terrace that is significant, spanning the entire apartment block, but the roof terrace may also not be suitable for young children. We intend to install AC soon, but in the meantime we have added another multi speed fan on a stand. Also being so close to the mountains, the apartments in the area benefit from an evening breeze, as the land cools. Hopefully when you children are older, we can welcome you back and thanks again for taking the time to complete a review.

We were very impressed with the apartment - it had everything we could have wanted to make our stay as enjoyable as it was. Its beautifully decorated, with traditional features, which were lovely to see. The location was fantastic, perfect for both mountain walks and relaxing on the beach.
