Villa Trencall Detached 3 bedroomed Home with Private Pool, Tranquil Setting, Short Drive to Sandy Beach and Shops.

Our beautiful home is set in an exclusive part of Javea (Xabia) in a quiet setting in the Trencall pine forest area, but close enough to drive to the beautiful Xabia town, port and beaches.

Villa Trencall is tranquil and secluded with a tropical feel and a lovely breeze in the summer months and the trees and grass surrounding the house give us ample shade to keep it cool. Lovely to lay by the pool at night, with the pool lights on and stare at the stars. Great to sit by the bar enjoying a freshly made margherita, and all you can hear is the crickets.

The house has Wi-Fi, free local telephone and is very comfortably furnished, with a cream leather suite in the lounge, and Tosca stone archways, wooden beam ceilings, and a log burning fire for the winter lets giving a cosy feeling to the whole house. The double aspect windows have mosquito blinds which allows you open the windows at night to feel the breeze coming though the house.

Cable TV is in the living room and a separate one in the dining room so you can watch different programmes.

The fully fitted kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier. It is separated from the dining room by a Tosca stone arch. The dining room has a table and chairs for 6 people, and high chair if needed. and a bespoke welsh dresser with lighting and a natural stone wall as a feature. Both the kitchen and dining room have ceiling fans. French windows from the dining room lead out onto the terrace and BBQ area, which is perfect for breakfast as it catches the morning sun.

The master bedroom is double aspect so very light and airy, and quite a self-contained area. There is a ceiling fan, mosquito blinds on the windows and large French doors, which open onto the front garden. There is a small wide screen TV with its own cable digibox separate from the rest of the house. There is a travel cot if needed.Leading off the bedroom is a dressing area with fitted wardrobe and an en suite bathroom with shower and separate bath.

The two other bedrooms each have 2 single beds, windows opening onto the front garden, fitted wardrobes, ceiling fans and mosquito blinds.

The bedrooms face each other and share a family bathroom with a corner bath, toilet and shower.

Outside there is an open air “Naya” ideal for “Al Fresco” dining, overlooking the floodlit pool, gardens and poolside bar with colonial ceiling fan, sink, mini fridge and built in seating. This is an ideal area to sit in the shade and relax with a cool drink. The well-established private garden has a pergola-covered terrace with wisteria, bougainvillea, and plumbago trailing over. There are a variety of Mediterranean plants such as hibiscus, palm trees, mimosa, oleander, jasmine, datura, fig, orange and lemon trees.

The floodlit pool is 10x5 metres with mosaic-tiled steps leading down to the shallow end and metal steps at the deep end. It faces southwest and is bathed in sun throughout the day. The BBQ area, with a pergola covered with perfumed flowers, has lighting for dining after dark. It is also perfect for breakfast as it catches the morning sun. The bar with its subtle lighting, fridge and a colonial ceiling fan makes it an ideal place to have a cool cocktail before you go out for the evening. Or just stay at home and just enjoy sitting there overlooking the pool.

Javea has been described as the jewel of the Costa Blanca. It is midway, and an hour away from the international airports of Alicante and Valencia. Javea has a picturesque town up on a hill, which is the original medieval settlement. It features a fortified church, a stone built indoor market and narrow streets with typically Spanish houses. Above, there rises the impressive Sierra of Montgo. It shelters Javea from any winter winds. The World Health Organisation describes it as having one of the “healthiest climates in Europe”. Down in the port area, there is an interesting modern church, a luxurious marina and a splendid working fishing harbour which attracts both visitors and residents when the fishing boats are landing their catches. There is a small pebble beach directly in front of some interesting bars and restaurants. The main beach lies a short way to the south of the port and is most attractive, with a wide stretch of golden sand.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants running the length of the bay and families can be assured that they will cater for all tastes and pockets. In addition, for those with nightlife in mind and for those with teenagers there are several discos open in the summer months. Javea is not a high-rise resort and only has a sprinkling of hotels. There are also excellent facilities for sport: golf, tennis, go-karting, windsurfing, scuba diving, jet skiing and horse riding. Javea has two Fiestas each year- the first in June in Javea Town and the second in September in the port. Both include colourful processions, dancing, bull running and firework displays. Local industries produce goods, which can be purchased such as basketwork, ceramics of all kinds, furniture and wine. Within a short drive from Javea there are many delightful villages worth visiting as well as the larger resorts where you can enjoy the theme parks of Terra Mittica, Aqualandia, and safari parks of Vergel and Aitana.

About Barbara and David Desborough

I live in Kent with my husband David and our two children. My husband is a photographer in London and

we spend most of our holidays each year at our home in Trencall. We have made many wonderful friends in Javea, and miss it very much when we have to return to England.

We have been going to Trencall ever since our children were babies. They still love staying with us every year at the villa, which must say something about our home in Xabia. Always something to do whatever age group, you just adapt to the ever growing , changing family.... We are now grandparents ourselves and I know our grand daughter will love spending many years there as well. Can't wait to introduce her to everything that Javea and Trencall have to offer.

Why Barbara and David Desborough chose Xàbia

Trencall was owned by a Spanish doctor who used it as a retreat from Valencia as it is so peaceful, without being remote. We fell in love with Javea and bought the villa when the kids were very small. and have continued to spend every year there. They are now in their 30's and still holiday with us, as it is their second home and they still love it. The pool is large and surrounded by lawns and trees which is lovely to lounge around. Driving from the villa into the bay of Javea it looks like a fairy town with the twinkling lights. I will never get tired of that view. Each night when we come back from the centre of Javea, with all the bright lights and bars, it's lovely to sit round the floodlit pool, having a cool drink, listening to the crickets and taking in the smell of the jasmine and dame de noche.

What makes this villa unique

The villa is in a tranquil part of Javea which allows us to get away from the hustle and bustle of London, where we both work, but it's still close enough to enjoy the nightlife of Javea. We love having a BBQ in the evenings but also spending time "people watching" on the Arenal or Port. There are some lovely bays close by, especially Tango Bay, which I call my "Shirley Valentine" escape. There are hundreds of bars and restaurants to suit all pockets and from the time the children were tiny, through to their teens, twenties and now thirties, there has always been things for them to see and do. Hence they still come away with us. Many of our friends now join us as they have all fallen in love with our home, but also Javea. It really is quite a magical place that everyone wants to come back to.

Notes on accommodation: We have made our house a home and have furnished it with a cream leather suite, lovely cream curtains and all the beds are excellent quality, pocket sprung, and very comfortable. We have WiFi, local telephone and Cable TV in the main living areas and also the master bedroom, supplying you with over 30 English channels. The walls are covered with family photos and an album in the bookcase which will give you a flavour of our time spent in Javea with our family. The kitchen and dining room have been refurbished and newly equipped. The added touches are the Tosca stone on the walls and archways and recessed pictures which we bought locally. The French doors take you out onto the lovely terracotta terrace and lawn with BBQ seating area where you can have breakfast under the pergola. We have mosquito shutters fitted in all three bedrooms and living room which allows you to have the windows open and feel a cool breeze at night. Outside: The established gardens and private pool face south west to take advantage of the sun on the surrounding lawns and pergola covered terraces. There are lovely shady areas to be able to sit and read a book, with a glass of Rioja.The garden has been planted with many Mediterranean plants and trees including oranges, lemons, olives, passion fruit, hibiscus, palm trees, bougainvillea and perfumed flowers, which fill the air at night to compliment the al fresco dining by the floodlit pool.The poolside bar has a fridge and lighting for those evening cocktails.Trencall lends itself beautifully to outdoor living and entertaining. The expanse of lawns are great for children to play on, adults to lounge on and keeps the house cooler in the summer. There are also trees and shady places which are so necessary in the height of the summer. There are ample loungers and outside furniture. It is only a short drive to the lovely lively Javea town, port and Arenal beach with it's waterside restaurants. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bath towels and linen are included in the rental. The villa is cleaned at the beginning and end of your stay and there is a mid stay linen and towel change for durations of more than one week. Other: The added touches are the Tosca stone on the walls and archways and recessed pictures which we bought locally. The French doors take you out onto the lovely terracotta terrace and lawn with BBQ seating area where you can have breakfast under the pergola.

Beautiful property

We are a family of 4, my husband, myself and two teenage boys and we had a lovely time staying in this villa. It's all about the outside space, the pool is just fantastic, you can actually do lengths in it!! My boys loved it and spent many hours having lots of fun in it. The garden is well established and beautifully kept, and the outside bar a real bonus. Sitting outside in the evening with all the lights on is just lovely. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you would need. The best Indian I have ever had is just down the road too - 'Everest Spice' I can thoroughly recommend it! Would definitely stay here again, hope to return soon. X

We love sitting by the outside bar as you don't need to go out, and then eating under the Naya overlooking the pool is super. I love gardening and we have had our gardeners for years so they really nurture it even when we aren't there and it can be so dry in the summer months. It is great to relax on loungers reading a book and still has lots of shade despite some of the pine trees having to be taken down but we have replanted with other trees. I agree the pool is great for doing lengths and our pool man is such a perfectionist its always spotless. So perfect for all ages but it definitely keeps youngsters occupied all day. Glad you liked the kitchen. Its so handy for the BBQ as right by it. The restaurants at each end of the road are also really handy as within walking distance and delighted that the food was so good at the Everest Spice. I will make sure we let everyone know as it used to be owned by different people. The Trencall at the other end of the road does great paellas. Really hope to hear from you in the future. Gorgeous villa, perfect family holiday

Having returned from the villa 4 days ago, all I can say is wow! We already can't wait to go back, a week was not long enough. Patty was just leaving as we arrived and she spent a lot of time with us, showing us where everything was and how the alarm worked etc. The villa is the perfect place for a family holiday and has everything you could need and more. The weather was amazing, which meant we got a lot of use out of the pool and we spent most evenings sat outside having drinks. Thanks Barbara for all of the information provided prior to our visit too - very helpful. Highly recommended.

A very special place

This was our sixteenth visit to Barbara and David's villa which we regard as our home from home, it is a very special place to us. The villa is always clean and tidy on arrival and is well stocked with all the essentials and more. It is a place way you can relax fully around the pool and its well presented garden. The BBQ area and the outside bar are fantastic and are well used when we stay. The grounds are all on one level so the the place is user friendly for all family types. Javea is lovey with its three distinct areas, the sandy beach of the Arenal, the boats around the Port and the little streets around the Old Town are all littered with restaurants and bars so there is something for everyone.

We fully recommend this special place to anyone, it would not take long for them to get hooked with the place. My daughter and her family are testament to that. Can't wait for the next visit to come round.

What a beautiful home!

From first enquiry to the end of the holiday everything was fabulous. The villa was perfect, home from home. The outside space just lovely and a great place to relax. The pool was magnificent, it would have been nice if it was heated but that didn't stop the children splashing around. The villa is well equipped, although a slow cooker would have been useful.

Approximately 10-15 minutes drive away are a number of beaches and bays. There is a small pebble beach directly in front of some interesting bars and restaurants in the old port. The main beach lies a short way to the south of the port and is most attractive, with a wide stretch of golden sand and plenty of bars and restaurants running the length of the bay.

Travel:

Car hire is essential. The airports of Valencia and Alicante are equidistant from Javea and approximately 100 kms away.

Distances:

Javea lies midway between the international airports of Alicante and Valencia just over an hour away. Within a short drive from Javea there are many delightful villages worth visiting as well as the larger resorts where you can enjoy the theme parks of Terra Mittica, Aqualandia, and safari parks of Vergel and Aitana.

Booking Notes:
We let the villa from Saturday to Saturday for 7 14 21 28 nights Longer off season. Changeover Day is Saturday as the maids need time to clean the villa between lets and therefore you need to leave by 10am and arrive after 3pm. I am afraid we cannot change these times for individual clients,even if your plane arrives early or leaves late, as the maids need enough time to prepare the villa to ensure that it is clean for the incoming guests.
We require a non refundable deposit of 25% by Bacs to us , or credit card via Owners Direct or Home Away who make an additional service charge .
The non refundable balance is payable 10 weeks before departure.
A key deposit of £250 needs to be paid when the balance is due and will be returned once the keys are sent back to us by registered post, unless arrangements have been made to leave them with our housekeeper. We need to have the keys back wthin 14 days and once we receive them together with an inventory check from the management company we will reimburse the funds. If the key deposit is held by Owners Direct it will be returned as soon as we inform them that the keys are back and no breakages. It then takes 7 to 10 days for the funds to appear in your account.
Our representative speaks fluent English and is there to help you.
The house has an alarm and a safe. We will send a booking form to fill in once your booking is accepted.
HOLIDAY INSURANCE
We must stress the importance of holiday insurance, as all holiday payments are non-refundable other than the key/breakage deposit, which is subject to the conditions mentioned. Also please insure your personal belongings against loss or theft as our insurance policy only covers our liabilities.
Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Max of 6 people inc children Longer lets of 5 to 8 weeks from November to March are negotiable but we do not let for 6 month periods. No pets allowed and we only allow smoking outside the house.
