Exceptionally well appointed, 3 bedroom house, situated in a secluded cul-de-sac on Empuriabrava's scenic waterways capable of comfortably sleeping 6. Within a few minutes walk to the beach, communal swimming pool (small charge), superbar and restaurant and beach bars. The marina, shops, bars, restaurants in the centre of the resort are just a gentle 10-15 minutes stroll away. The house has a variety of terraces with garden furniture, BBQ and sun beds. The roof top terrace is completely enclosed and provides a private sun trap that is not overlooked. The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, microwave/oven, fridge, all of the utensils you could need. Full central heating makes the property ideal for winter lets. Free wifi. 11m mooring available for guests use (must be booked in advance)

About the Owner

We first visited Empuriabrava in 2005 and immediately fell in love with the town and Costa Brava. It is a lovely family resort with long sandy beach. We bought this property on our very first visit. Having spent many self catering holidays in accommodation that had insufficient amenities in the house we decided that we wanted to make all of our villas 'home from home' and equipped them with plenty of crockery, kitchen utensils, TV's wifi etc.. to ensure our guests had the best holiday experience we could possibly provide. We have since bought 5 more villas with private pools in the same resort and offer superb accommodation and personal service.

Home from Home

Having sold our villa of 25 years in Empuriabrava we wanted to continue visiting this delightful area of Spain and continue visiting old friends. At the third time of trying we came upon this villa in Port Rhodas which offered virtually all we could expect. Easily accessible, clean, tidy fully furnished, kitchen fully equiped, modern shower rooms and toilet facilities, English TV and radio programmes. Front and rear terraces to enjoy meals in the sunshine if wanted - why not? Own car parking with access to the beach only a few minutes away. Over the last 2 years we have spent 20 weeks here with anther 6 coming this autumn. So don;t hesitate you will enjoy.

Brilliant house, Brilliant location

The house is so comfortable, very clean and so well appointed and so quiet and peaceful. The directions given by the owner were perfect. The information regarding the house was very useful. The location is great, it's a lovely 5 minute walk to the sandy beach. If you want the bustle of the busy downtown, it's just a short walk or a shorter drive away. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and most probably will be coming back for another visit.

A lucky find!

After a month in Barcelona and we wanted to finish our visit to Spain by the sea. As we have always loved a marina environment, Empuriabrava seemed a good choice for us. It is an easy hour and a half train journey to Figures, a short distance from the resort and the owners organised transfers. We were lucky to happen upon this property which met our needs perfectly. This is a town house on 4 levels with a patio at evey level! At garage level there is a private mooring. We spent many hours on the sheltered patio watching the boats on our canal coming and going. The garage also houses bikes and fishing rods as well as a large refrigerator which allowed us extra storage. At entrance level there is both a front patio and a beautiful canal-side patio housing the barbecue. With a retractable sunshade, this became our second sitting room. The kitchen is well equipped and the lounge/dining room are comfortably furnished. On the next floor there are three bedrooms, the master with a convenient ensuite shower room. The main bathroom is large and beautifully tiled. The house is topped with a sun trap roof terrace. We used every level. Each day we walked to the beach or harbour or cycled into town. The supermarket and cafe at the nearby campsite supplied all our daily needs. We feel we were very fortunate to have found this lovely retreat, and the owners, Katherine and Nigel, and their local helpers, were always available if we had a question or problem. Our grateful thanks to them all for making our stay thoroughly enjoyable!

Location

From the Owner

The house is in a fabulous location just a few minutes walk from the beach, and a gentle 10 minute stroll to the centre of the resort. It is in a quiet cul de sac overlooking a private marina and has an 11m mooring that guests may use if bringing a boat or jetski. Supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants are all within easy walking distance, and the nearby communal swimming pool offers the perfect opportunity to be able to use a swimming pool for a small charge as and when required. There is no need to hire a car, but for those guests that may wish to hire one or drive to the house there is a private parking space on the driveway.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

Within 2 minutes walk is the child friendly Salins beach and the main Empuriabrava to Sta. Margarita beach. A pleasant 10 - 15 minute walk will take you to the main Empuriabrava beach which offers a comprehensive range of watersports.

Travel:

A car is not essential as all amenities are within a short walking distance. Barcelona Airport - approx. 2 hour road transfer. Barcelona-Gerona Airport - approx. 40 mins road transfer. Perpignan-Rivesaltes Airport- approx. 1 hour road transfer. Figueres is the closest local mainline railway station, approx. 20km from Empuriabrava by road.

Express rail journey time from Barcelona Sants mainline railway station is approx. 1 hour and 40 minutes to Figueres. Yacht Marina – Empuriabrava.

Distances:

A gentle stroll takes you to the heart of Empuriabrava in 10 - 15 minutes. The town of Roses is 10 minutes away by car or bus and 20 minutes by bicycle along a designated cycle route. A local bus service is available in summer to Figueres.

Further Details:

Local supermarket with fresh bakery, meat, fruit & veg etc. nearby, main shops, restaurants, bars, banks, hairdresser, internet café's and leisure facilities, can all be reached on foot in a matter of minutes. Close by is Empuriabrava's Club Nautico situated adjacent to the Marina, offering short term membership to a range of leisure facilities, including large swimming pool, gymnasium, Jacuzzi, sauna, badminton, squash courts and bar.
