Smartly presented two bedroom first floor apartment, with intercom or key access , lift service and nice balcony area for relaxing or "alfresco dining". The balcony with table, chairs and recliner chairs, overlooks the landscaped pool, toddlers pool and sun bathing areas. Additional security is provided to all doors and widows. The apartment has colour co-ordinated bedrooms, bathroom, modern open plan fitted kitchen and lounge/dining area, leading to a nice balcony terrace. Part of select high quality "gated" development in the up and coming charming resort town of Los Alcazares ,located on the shores of the beautiful Mar Menor, with its warm shallow crystal clear waters, ideal for bathing and a mecca for water sports. With occasional beachside cafe/bars, restaurants and children's play areas you can relax and enjoy the views across the bay to La Manga. Nearby there are cafebars, restaurants, supermarkets and banks, with more bars, cafes/restaurants at the Oasis and in the town. An ideal base for holidays, sightseeing, water sports, golf plus local cycle hire.

About Geoff Grant

We are a typical working family with children but lucky enough to be able to acquire a holiday apartment in Spain a few years ago. We live in North Yorkshire with similar aspirations to most families and probably similar problems. We enjoy socialising and eating out occasionally and spending time as a family. I play some golf and like outdoor pursuits,watching football on TV and like a pint of beer, particularly real ale.

We love going to the apartment two, or three times a year if we can afford it. It's a good quality development with three lovely well maintained pools. We like the area and can either chill on the balcony, by the pool or go down to the beach. We like to make it available for others to enjoy as well, as everyone deseves a break now and then. For a change we hire a car and go Torrevieja, Murcia or Cartagena ,or to one of the indoor or outdoor shopping centres.

We've had a lot of positive feedback from guests,some returning more than once to enjoy the apartment, complex,beach and local amenities, which is nice.

Why Geoff Grant chose Cartagena & Mar Menor

We both liked the feel of Los Alcazares, compared to other places, particularly the beach area and the marina, with lovely views across the Mar Menor Bay. We just knew it was the right place for us and our family. We were just drawn back here and we have been proved right.

The apartment is presented to a high standard and very well positioned within the complex. Overlooking the garden end and main pool and sunbathing areas with some palm trees for shade. The apartment is well laid out with an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area and a nice bathroom with shower. It's within easy level walking distance of local facilities to provide for your holiday.

What makes this apartment unique

We love the feel of the property,it's a "home from home" for us and we love sitting on the balcony,soaking up the late afternoon sun and having a drink there with friends and family,or having breakfast or a meal..

We also love the pool area with its two large pools,including toddlers splash pools. There's also another nice pool area, at the other end of the complex

I like to chill and get some shade under the Palm trees and read a book or magazine.

We like being located a very short walk from the "Square" and plaza area where l there's restaurants, bars and tapas bars are,no need to drive or pay for Taxi's .

The locally famous and popular "El Patio 2" grille restaurant is only 250mtrs away serving grilled meats,game and fish, served on their patio area or inside if preferred.

We like to walk to the long sandy beach by the beautiful "Mar Menor" bay with it's cafe/bars and warm, shallow, crystal clear waters ,ideal for bathing.

We have been fortunate to stay in the apartment 4 times!. Well furnished and very comfortable, with lovely balcony for meals or glass of wine,watching the sun setting. Overlooks the pools,(illuminated at night). The gated complex,offers additional security & privacy. Close to restaurants catering for all tastes, bars & cafes,like "La Diva",great food, service and lovely ambiance (one of many). Mrs.Caldwell, Inverness.

We found the Apt. well equipped and spacious for two and would easily accommodate four. Swimming pool area was very pleasant and no doubt great in the summertime. Los Alcazares is very pleasant with easy walking and great eating places especially El Patio (drinks very reasonable) and the restaurant at "Oasis " Centre . Would certainly consider using your Apt. again. Mr. Cartwright, Staffs.

Notes on accommodation: Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Clean towels and linen are provided and apartment is cleaned before each let. Additional weeks linen /towel changes and or additional cleaning can be arranged with owner. Heaters are provided in winter,for extra peace of mind security grilles are fitted to external windows and balcony doors. Outside: Patio doors lead out onto a lovely balcony with lighting, table and chairs (inc.2 recliners) overlooking the ornately landscaped communal pool area and palm trees. Gated complex including 3 good sized pools wih paddling sections and and sunbathing areas. Nearest pool has a lawned area with some palm trees for shade.

Great apartment in a really convenient location

The apartment is spotlessly clean and very spacious. It has a homely feeling as a result of little touches like English TV, books, DVDs etc to use during your stay. Also the availability of sun beds for use round the pool. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could conceivably need for your stay. There is a large balcony which overlooks the pool which is a lovely spot for an al fresco breakfast. The pool area is lovely with two pools. It was lovely and quiet during our stay. The apartment block is a very short walk from supermarkets, restaurants and bars. It's also a 10-15 minute walk from the Mar Menor and the long paseo which stretches the length of the resort. It's a short taxi ride from Murcia airport so no need for a car if you prefer not to drive. All in all we had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

A holiday to remember

We have just spent four weeks in the apartment, it is well equipped and comfortable. It has everything that you need for a good stay. We loved to sit on the balcony at sunset and watch the sun go down between the palm trees. The owners are very approachable and attentive.

Family holiday Murcia, mum & dad & 2 teenagers

Apartment is 10 mins from airport, 10 euros approx, apartment has secure entry, apartment is very clean, big balcony, rooms have storage, comfy beds, everything you need for self catering, complex is lovely, secure, not to busy, relaxing atmosphere, quiet at night. It s literally 5 mins walk to supermarkets, bars, lovely restaurants and promenade. Will definitely be back to this apartment!

Lovely apartment convenient to plaza & beach

This apartment was exactly as described on the website. It was a pleasure dealing with Geoff the owner of the property who provided excellent customer service throughout the booking, he provided lots of information before hand, he text on our first day to see if everything was ok, he contacted me on my return to discuss if we were happy with everything and our deposit was returned promptly.

The apartment has all kitchen equipment you could think of, there are also cooler bags etc if you want to use these for the beach. The balcony is a lovely feature and overlooks the pool. This area is kept immaculately, they were always working on it in some way or other. The pool is lovely to keep cool and big enough for a swim. There are 3 pools on this complex although one was out of order on our visit. You will need to use the sunbeds provided in the apartment to use around the pool. There is a TV but it isn't flat screen, it does have English Channels, we don't normally watch tv on holiday but the Euro's were on during our stay so was an added bonus for us. Everywhere was nice and clean and we had a midweek clean, with towel and sheets replaced. there is no air conditioning only fans, this was fine with us as one I don't like air conditioning and also it was needed for most of our stay.

The apartment is about 5 minutes walk to the 525 plaza with shops, bars and restaurants, which we tried many and cannot fault the food here especially for Spain. Our favourite restaurants were Little Sicilly, Bistro Hemmingway and El Torro. We found the drinks to be good and reasonably priced, Sangria in some of the places were the best we have ever had. If you carry on through the plaza and across the road you head towards the beach. Now I was a little bit disappointed with the sea as it had a lot of sea grass in it, but you can find areas further along that doesn't have this. Sunbed's to hire sporadically along the beach varying from 6-8 euros a day. Good fun to hire bikes and ride along the long stretch of promenade stoping off at the bars as you go. More Spanishy in the old town with lots of tapas bars, unfortunately we only did this once, bit of a walk albeit a nice walk along the beach or alternatively you can get the tourist train. 6 euros return.

Loved the apartment and Los Alcazares and hope to return again soon and would not hesitate to stay here again or to recommend to friends and relatives.

Fantastic Holiday

We recently stayed in this spotlessly clean apartment on the lovely Puerto Marina complex.It is well equipped with everything you need to make your stay very comfortable.The complex is very peaceful extremely well maintained and well appointed for supermarkets,restaurants,bars and the all important beautiful beach which is less than a 10 minute stroll away.We had a great holiday and are already planning the next one! Booking with the owners was a pleasure and so easy. We would highly recommend a stay here.
