Situated in a quiet residential area this spacious, modern 3 bedroom duplex apartment is furnished to a high modern standard. It has 2 sun terraces and has a lovely well kept, safe and gated communal pool and gardens. It is located 5 mins walk away from Calles Fonts with a good selection of shops and restaurants. Equally the cosmopolitan city of Mahon, the islands capital, is only a 10 minute drive away. The open-plan layout of this apartment makes living conditions light and airy and it is air-conditioned. There is a private parking space for your car during your stay. This area has an extended season and runs from Easter - October. Winter breaks and short term lets for 1 month during the year are available on request.

Hello . We are an English family who work hard and bought our apartment in Menorca as a safe haven for our own holidays.

We live on a farm and so the coast is a pleasant change and offers us an "away from it all' experience.

We hope that you enjoy the pace and life style of this area as much as we do.

In the 14 years that we have owned the property it has not deteriorated. This is because the complex is lived-in through-out the year and occupied by a combination of local Minorcan families and holiday rentals who work harmoniously together. The housing association who maintain and upkeep the apartment complex are very professional and maintain high standards.

Why Caron - All Seasons Glamping chose Es Castell

We fell in love with this area while on holiday with some friends and over a coffee and with the promise of holidays like this for years to come we both families decided to buy a property. There are not many that come up for sale in Santa Ana but we were lucky to buy off plans in to this new development at Pintor Vives and enjoy the strong communal influence and pretty residential area.

The area of Es Castell is calm and pretty with palm tress and manicured gardens. But when it is fiesta time all the towns and villages celebrate their Saints Day with horse running and parades and music and cheer. It is a wonderful sight and something that all the family can join in with.

Es Castell, Santa Ana is respectable and safe and well looked after. People are very friendly and the communal spirit is strong. But everyone wants and needs tourism so there is a healthy attitude and warm greeting awaiting you wherever you go and Calles Fonts is bustling with tourists during high season.

The airport is fantastic.. new and very well organized and only 20 minutes max drive from the accommodation which makes the journey very accessible and noticeably stress free. For anyone who suffers from travel sickness like me this easy transfer is very welcome.

Menorca is a small island so this base is a great place from which to explore it and with your own private parking area it is ideal to travel by car, though a car is not essential as there is a very good bus service on your door step.

What makes this apartment unique

Our apartment is conveniently located in a friendly area where your older children can enjoy their independence and the long season allows for a variety of excursion and adventuring possibilities for all. There is an outdoor gym in the local park along the road used by locals for the tarmac football / basketball pitch. We have installed WIFI for your use free of charge .

The apartment facilities allow you to have a siesta around the pool or sunbath privately on your private terrace with the comfort of home cooking if you wish. It is spacious and comfortable and in 2015 we added BBQ facilities and an oudoor private seating area on one of the balconies.

Our apartment has good views front and back. One has the countryside and the other roof tops with the mouth of Mahon's natural harbour beyond. On Saturday's the cruise ships visit and pass along our panorama echoing their arrival and departure with the hooting of their funnel.

The swimming pool complex is safe and gated and so your family can play safely outside in the communal gardens, but respect must be given to the siesta time and children 14 yrs or under must be accompanied by an adult.

The complex is modern and the community friendly.

Parking at number 48 is included for your use when you arrive.

WIFI is available at the apartment and in most bars and restaurants only 5 minutes walk away where you can easily enjoy a long beer or glass of wine. This area is very friendly and combines the old Menorcan traditions with the much needed tourism in the local tapas bars and corner shops.

Our property is enjoyable all year round because it is a residential area and not solely reliant on tourism. Take a break off-season and enjoy the fresh air and historic charm of the island. Cycling, walking, sailing and photography as well as water sports are highly appreciated on the Island.

Notes on accommodation: This is a non-smoking apartment and is perfect for people who enjoy relaxing by the pool as much as exploring the wealth of beautiful safe and clean beaches and historic towns around Menorca. There is a small cove 5 mins walk away which is great for snorkeling, fishing, rock-pooling and swimming. Beach resorts are all within an easy drive as the island is only approx 34 km long. We have WIFI at the apartment and a selection of English TV. We have 2 terraces for sunbathing and eating outside should you wish to do so in private and both have good views either overlooking farm land or beyond the roof tops across to Mahon harbour. The apartment is in a small private complex well maintained and perfectly located to explore the island during shoulder and main season as we are in a residential area and there are always restaurants and shops open all year round. Utility Room: Overlooking the swimming pool, this area has washing and drying facilities. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bath towels and linen are included and changed when you leave. Washing facilities are available for your own use for the interim period. A travel cot is available for use if so desired but please take your own linen.

Lovely, well presented, clean apartment with all facilities required including 2 sun terraces, shared good sized swimming pool and 3 spacious bedrooms. We had a fabulous holiday and have been 3 times. We would recommend the apartment and location to anyone.

A gem in the heart of Es Castell

This is the second time here and it is a gem in the heart of Es Castell.

This is home and not a holiday home just for investment.

Tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you will need for your stay.

Relax in the air conditioned living room with free Wi-Fi, balconies both front and rear or head off to Menorca's wonderful beaches.

A large box of beach related stuff is provided especially the sun parasol.

Nice apartment

Had 2 weeks in the beautiful Es Castell area. Apartment airy and bright with everything you need supplied. Plenty room for families. The pool area is safe, clean and perfect, although don't forget to take everything down with you as you have 3 flights of stairs. Wi Fi is excellent throughout. Communication with Owner was excellent.

To use estate agent speak this is a well appointed apartment!

I have just returned following a months stay at this apartment. I have been to Menorca many times before because my brother lives there but this is the best located apartment I have stayed in by far! I don't drive so was very dependant on buses or walking. There is a bus into Mahon every 30 minutes from a stop a very short walk away. Or if it's not too hot you can walk into the city centre in about 30 minutes. Meanwhile there is plenty to do in nearby Es Castell and it's harbour at Calles Fonts.

The apartment itself is light, airy and very comfortable. It is extremely well equipped with all you will need for your stay however long it might be for.

Added to which, Caron the owner is very helpful and obliging.

Great apartment - brilliant location & good views

This well equipped apartment with 3 good sized bedrooms is located on the borders of Es Castell/Santa Ana. The apartment is duplex with the main bedroom upstairs with an en suite bathroom. There is also a full bathroom downstairs servicing the other bedrooms. The kitchen has everything you need as well as a dishwasher and fridge with a small freezer compartment together with all the cutlery and equipment that you need. In the comfy lounge area there is a TV, DVD player and use of a few books and DVD’s together with various magazines. There is also a large dining table and chairs between the kitchen and lounge. The apartment has 2 very large balconies, one to the front (from the lounge area) overlooking the countryside with a table and chairs which we used in the evening for drinks or reading whilst watching the sunset. The other large balcony is off the main bedroom with sun loungers, table, chairs, umbrella and BBQ. Both balconies have lights. There is a third smaller balcony off one of the bedrooms which houses the washing machine and drying area. There is air conditioning and various large fans that can be used throughout. The wifi which was added in 2016 was excellent. We took advantage of the beach chairs, umbrella and cooler box on many days out to the beach. There is an excellent gated pool in a well maintained garden area. The apartment also comes with private parking if required. Car hire is not essential (but highly recommended) as there is a bus stop within a few minutes walk where you can get the bus which runs every ½ hour to the capital (Mahon) and from there to other parts of the island. There are two local supermarkets one is about 5 mins walk and there is a larger one about 10 mins drive in Sant Lluis. The town of Es Castell is a typical Spanish town with various shops, places for morning coffee and many bars serving great tapas and a few restaurants. There is also a small harbour (Cala Fonts) about 5 mins walk from the apartment with more restaurants which were a bit more expensive because of their location. Would recommend ‘Restaurant Irene’ a 3 course meal of the day is either 12.50€ for lunch or 18.50€ for dinner including wine. We were here for a month in October 2016 and did not tire of the apartment or the location, would strongly recommend this apartment. We liked it so much we have now booked again for this year.

Perfect Holiday Base, Great Location

This apartment in Santa Ana/El Castell is a lovely base to explore this lovely island. Less than 5 minutes from numerous quayside restaurants, 2 mins from a bus stop with regular services to Mahon and a stone's throw away from a well stocked mini supermarket. Though there is no beach here, there's a lovely marina walkway and the quay comes alive on a night time with bustling restaurants. The apartment it's self is very well equipped and ample room for a couple and 3 children (2 shared). 3 terraces, the main overlooked the road but not an issue as little noise and not too busy at all. There is use of a pool which was not busy at all, probably the most we saw using was 6 or 7 people and my daughter instantly made friends with what seemed to be local resident children. The only downside would be a little walk down the stairs and round the small block to access this area. WiFi was great as helped no end planning our day trips. The top terrace was a good size and we made use of the BBQ on a couple of evenings. If you haven't visited before, Menorca is a lovely island, easy to drive round with many beautiful areas to explore. well recommended.

Boat trips are available from Calles Fonts, only 5 mins walk away. Sailing enthusiasts can always enlist on a course around the island from Mahon, only 10 mins drive away.

The whole area and accommodation is ideal for those wanting the comforts and privacy of home combined with a varied yet relaxing holiday at any time of year.

Shoulder season is May and October which is less busy.


A small cove (Calles Corb) is only 5/10 mins walk away from the apartment. it is great for a bit of rustic charm snorkelling and crabbing or sunbathing.

Beaches such as Binibeca are within 15 mins drive away. Enjoy your day out and come home to the safety and comfort of your own home abroad, in the residential area of Santa Ana.


Mahon is 10 mins drive away. The airport is 20 mins drive away. Suggest car hire for those who want to explore the many beaches , town markets, vineyards, forts, smugglers coves, windsurfing ports , beautiful villages and historic harbours around the island.

Santa Ana has its own supermarkets, banks, and bars. Es Castell is the region and is a rustic and charming residential area which is enjoyed by many in high season with a strong local community which keeps it alive during the whole year. 5 minutes walk away you can find the village market square where a twice weekly market is held throughout the summer season.

Golf course at Son Bou is within an easy drive away.

When making payment if you book using the bank transfer method you will be booking directly with us and will not be charged additional bank charges. We will offer partial refund to cancellation outside of 3 months notice and will work with you assuming that we can re-sell the date.
For anyone staying for 2 weeks or more you have the option of a mid stay linen change at Euros 15 per person . This cost is in addition to the price quoted and must be agreed and arranged 10 weeks prior to departure and paid in advance to me. Please request if you require this service. Alternatively there is a washing machine in the apartment.

Changeover Day:
We are flexible with the change-over day but must consider the practicality of each booking individually. Normally people must vacate the apartment by 11am. In some circumstances this may be flexible.
