Situated in a quiet residential area this spacious, modern 3 bedroom duplex apartment is furnished to a high modern standard. It has 2 sun terraces and has a lovely well kept, safe and gated communal pool and gardens. It is located 5 mins walk away from Calles Fonts with a good selection of shops and restaurants where you have free WIFI for your extra convenience.Equally the cosmopolitan city of Mahon, the islands capital, is only a 10 minute drive away. The open-plan layout of this apartment makes living conditions light and airy and it is air-conditioned. There is a private parking space for your car during your stay. This area has an extended season and runs from May - October. Winter breaks and short term lets for 1 month during the year are available on request outside of main season.

Hello . We are an English family who work hard and bought our apartment in Menorca as a safe haven for our own holidays.
We live on a farm and so the coast is a pleasant change and offers us an "away from it all' experience.
We hope that you enjoy the pace and life style of this area as much as we do.
In the 12 years that we have owned the property it has not deteriorated. This is because the complex is lived-in through-out the year and occupied by a combination of local Minorcan families and holiday rentals who work harmoniously together. The housing association who maintain and upkeep the apartment complex are very professional and maintain high standards.

Perfect Holiday Base, Great Location
This apartment in Santa Ana/El Castell is a lovely base to explore this lovely island. Less than 5 minutes from numerous quayside restaurants, 2 mins from a bus stop with regular services to Mahon and a stone's throw away from a well stocked mini supermarket. Though there is no beach here, there's a lovely marina walkway and the quay comes alive on a night time with bustling restaurants. The apartment it's self is very well equipped and ample room for a couple and 3 children (2 shared). 3 terraces, the main overlooked the road but not an issue as little noise and not too busy at all. There is use of a pool which was not busy at all, probably the most we saw using was 6 or 7 people and my daughter instantly made friends with what seemed to be local resident children. The only downside would be a little walk down the stairs and round the small block to access this area. WiFi was great as helped no end planning our day trips. The top terrace was a good size and we made use of the BBQ on a couple of evenings. If you haven't visited before, Menorca is a lovely island, easy to drive round with many beautiful areas to explore. well recommended.
A gem in a great location!
The apartment was lovely - has everything you need, with a great layout.
The upstairs terrace with loungers is perfect for sunbathing and keeping an eye on the kids in the pool below.
The front balcony perfect for meals and drinks while watching the sunset.
Air-conditioned,light and airy with private parking it has a lot going for it.
The location for us was great with a stroll to Calles Fonts and some relaxing bar/restaurants notably Bar Espana 5 minutes away.
Would definitely recommend and have just booked again for 2017.
Very clean, well appointed apartment in good location very close to harbour and all amenities.
Had a lovely holiday. Apartment in very good position. About 5 mins walk to beautiful harbour with good restaurants, bars and a few shops. Ideal for a morning coffee as well as evening meals. Supermarkets,bakery and other shops again about 5 mins walk in Es Castell. We were lucky to be there at Fiesta time which was most enjoyable. There is also a very handy bus service into Mahon. All in all a great spot for a holiday.
Homely and in a great location.
A family-friendly apartment in a great location close to the harbour and restaurants. The apartment has everything you need and more, with air conditioning (which is only really effective on the lower level) and three balconies. The place was clean and modern and very comfortably furnished. The communal pool was clean and warm but got busy and a bit noisy in the early evenings.
The area felt very friendly and safe and was really convenient for Mahon, the airport and the surrounding area with some beautiful coves and beaches close by.
Bigger than first thought, clean, functional, would stay again!
The apartment is in a lovely part of Menorca, with a front balcony, small balcony for washing line and the main bedroom balcony is huge with dining table, loungers and bbq. The pool was lovely size and quiet. The main bedroom was beautiful! Apartment was very clean and they had thought of everything, we used the large cool box and ice packs for picnics! A lot of the other apartments were used by the Spanish so it didn't seem too touristy at all. We hired a car so travelled to some wonderful beaches binnebecca and punta prima to name a couple only 20 mins away. Mahon is only 10 mins away by car and has a lovely market. The apartment had plenty of space for us and our 4 teenage children. All in all it was a fantastic holiday, can't wait to book again!
Everything to hand
This apartment has everything you could ask for and makes being on holiday a total pleasure. Fully equipped to cater for yourself, cooker, dishwasher, fridge, plenty of utensils. Washing machine if needed which is handy with area to dry clothes. One bathroom on upper level with one of the double beds, second bathroom on main level with two other bedrooms, so no problem with toilet/showering etc. Didn't need to use aircon, had the patio doors open which gave a nice blow through at night. The area is superb for taking in the sites, relaxing at one of the lovely harbour bars/restaurants and watching the world go by. Easy access to all amenities, bus to Mahon (the capital town) for some shopping and more sightseeing or just a relax watching the yachts come and go. Lots of local shops for provisions, supermarkets which sell almost everything and bakers with fresh bread and pastries, yummy! Easy to explore further afield if you hire a car.

“We fell in love with this area while on holiday with some friends and over a coffee and the promise of holidays like this for years to come we both families decided to buy a property. There are not many that come up for sale in Santa Ana but we were lucky to buy off plans in to this new development at Pintor Vives and enjoy the strong communal influence and pretty residential area. The area of Es Castell is calm and pretty with palm tress and manicured gardens. But when it is fiesta time all the towns and villages celebrate their Saints Day with horse running and parades and music and cheer. It is a wonderful sight and something that all the family can join in with. Es Castell, Santa Ana is respectable and safe and well looked after. People are very friendly and the communal spirit is strong. But everyone wants and needs tourism so there is a healthy attitude and warm greeting awaiting you wherever you go and Calles Fonts is bustling with tourists during high season. The airport is fantastic.. new and very well organized and only 20 minutes max drive from the accommodation which makes the journey very accessible and noticeably stress free and for anyone who suffers from travel sickness like me this easy transfer is very welcome. Menorca is a small island so this base is a great place from which to explore it and with your own private parking area it is ideal to travel by car, though a car is not essential as there is a very good bud service on your food step.”

The whole area and accommodation is ideal for those wanting the comforts and privacy of home combined with a varied yet relaxing holiday at any time of year.
Shoulder season is May and October which is less busy.
A small cove (Calles Corb) is only 5/10 mins walk away from the apartment. it is great for a bit of rustic charm snorkelling and crabbing or sunbathing.
Beaches such as Binibeca are within 15 mins drive away. Enjoy your day out and come home to the safety and comfort of your own home abroad, in the residential area of Santa Ana.
Mahon is 10 mins drive away. The airport is 20 mins drive away. Suggest car hire for those who want to explore the many beaches , town markets, vineyards, forts, smugglers coves, windsurfing ports , beautiful villages and historic harbours around the island.

For anyone staying for 2 weeks or more you have the option of a mid stay linen change at euros 10 per person . This cost is in addition to the price quoted and must be agreed and arranged 10 weeks prior to departure and paid in advance to me. Please request if you require this service. Alternatively there is a washing machine in the apartment.
We are flexible with the change-over day but must consider the practicality of each booking individually. Normally people must vacate the apartment by 11am. In some circumstances this may be flexible.

Prices shown are for the property per week in UK Pounds. However euros can be used for payment if needed - please enquire at time of booking. Discounts for durations of more than 3 weeks may apply. Charges include use of bed linen and bath towels.

“Our apartment is conveniently located in a friendly area where your older children can enjoy their independence and the long season allows for a variety of excursion and adventuring possibilities for all. There is an outdoor gym in the local park along the road and we have just installed WIFI for 2016 onwards . The apartment facilities allow you to have a siesta around the pool or sunbath privately on your private terrace with the comfort of home cooking if you wish. It is spacious and comfortable and in 2015 we added BBQ facilities and an oudoor private seating area on one of the balconies. Our apartment has good views front and back. One has the countryside and the other roof tops with the mouth of Mahon's natural harbour beyond. On Saturday's the cruise ships visit and pass along our panorama echoing their arrival and departure with the hooting of their funnel. The swimming pool complex is safe and gated and so your family can play safely outside in the communal gardens, but respect must be given to the siesta time and children 14 yrs or under must be accompanied by an adult. The complex is modern and the community friendly. Parking at number 48 is included for your use when you arrive. WIFI is available at the apartment from 2016 and in most bars and restaurants only 5 minutes walk away and is easily enjoyed over a long beer or glass of wine. This area is very friendly and combines the old Menorcan traditions with the much needed tourism in the local tapas bars and corner shops. Our property is enjoyable all year round because it is a residential area and not solely reliant on tourism. Take a break off-season and enjoy the fresh air and historic charm of the island. Cycling, walking, sailing and photography as well as water sports are highly appreciated on the Island.”

- Notes on accommodation: This is a non-smoking apartment and is perfect for people who enjoy relaxing by the pool as much as exploring the wealth of beautiful safe and clean beaches and historic towns around Menorca. We have WIFI included at the apartment and English TV for all 2016 bookings. There is a small cove 5 mins walk away which is great for snorkeling, fishing, rock-pooling and swimming. Beach resorts are all within an easy drive as the island is only approx 34 km long. We have 2 terraces for sunbathing and eating outside should you wish to do so in private and both have good views either overlooking farm land or beyond the roof tops across to Mahon harbour. The apartment is in a small private complex well maintained and perfectly located to explore the island during shoulder and main season as we are in a residential area and there are always restaurants and shops open all year round and now with WIFI Utility Room: Overlooking the swimming pool, this area has washing and drying facilities. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bath towels and linen are included and changed when you leave. Washing facilities are available for your own use for the interim period. A travel cot is available for use if so desired but please take your own linen.
