Our luxury apartment is in a small condominium of 20 apartments on the outskirts of the outstanding village of Carvoeiro, 40 minutes drive from Faro airport. It is set in beautiful landscaped gardens with two pools. The apartment has stunning panaromic sea views from its balconies and roof terrace with built in BBQ. There is a wide range of facilities to cater for all tastes nearby, including beautiful beaches, first class golf courses, an excellent tennis club and family attractions e.g. water parks, Zoomarina, as well as numerous, excellent restaurants and bars.

About Kevin Vollans

We live In England with our 2 girls. We bought the property from new years and spend many of our holidays in the apartment. We both work long hours and find it a really relaxing setting with many excellent restaurants and beaches nearby. We initially bought the apartment as a place where the girls can come away in a safe and peaceful environment, with 2 pools on site, and have really enjoyed some great 'family time'. We let the property out to cover our costs.

Why Kevin Vollans chose Carvoeiro

I first visited Carvoeiro in 1987 and have been back many times since - I have fallen in love with the place! There really is something for everybody. If you just want to relax there are many golden sandy beaches. If you want something more active, there is a 12 court tennis complex/gym literally next door with numerous excellent golf courses nearby. You can also scuba dive and there is plenty for the kids to do at the 3 nearby Water Parks and Zoomarine. There are many good bars & restaurants within walking distance and you can walk into Carvoeiro in 20-25 minutes. Carvoeiro is just so beautiful with plenty of fantastic restaurants & bars and has a really friendly "feel" to it with live music often playing in the square. Ferragudo is nearby and also has beautiful beaches and restaurants.

What makes this apartment unique

The property & complex have recently been refurb end and the apartment has the benefit of airconditioning for the Summer and a log burning fire when it is cooler. You can take breakfast on the balcony overlooking the Sea and have your own BBQ on the brick-built BBQ on the roof terrace with its fantastic panaromic views. The complex only has 20 apartments and so is peaceful. It is gated and so safe for children. There are 2 pools literally just outside the apartment which can be seen from the apartment. The apartment is well equipped with leather sofa and armchairs. We also have a flat screen Sky TV, DVD player, ipod speaker, dishwasher, washing machine & microwave and so you shouldn't want for anything. We provide a cot and high chair for the little ones and there is also a welcome pack with details of beaches, restaurants etc to visit.

Notes on accommodation: The apartment is part of a small condominium of 20 apartments set in beautifully landscaped gardens. The complex is enclosed, the pool is on site and the apartment has child friendly features. Heating/air conditioning and log burning fire make it ideal for holidays any time of the year. The apartment is non-smoking but ashtrays are provided for use on the terraces. Outside: The condominium is set in beautiful landscaped gardens with 2 pools (1 for children), in a quiet location with a high degree of privacy. The apartment has 3 terraces leading out from the lounge/dining area (with table & chairs), kitchen and master bedroom & a stunnning roof terrace with built in BBQ, table & chairs and sun loungers with cushions. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels are included. Please bring beach/pool towels. Maid service is weekly for stays of 14 nights or more with linen & towel change. Other: Living room opens out to spacious terrace with table & chairs, overlooking the pool. Stunning roof terrace with built in BBQ, table & chairs and sunloungers with panaromic sea views.

Lovely apartment in a beautiful, quiet development

My husband, daughter and I stayed in Kevin's apartment for two weeks in July. This was our second time in Carvoeiro. The apartment was exactly as described and the photo's are exactly as it is.

The apartment was extremely well maintained and impeccably clean.

There is a total of about 20 apartments in the complex and, on the size of the development's footprint, we never felt as if we were living too close to anyone else. The morning views over the very well manicured gardens, pools, and the sea beyond were a joy to behold first thing in the morning.

Carvoeiro Tennis Club is located right next door and is open to visitors. The location of the complex is close enough to walk to Carvoeiro (25min) and remote enough to have a peaceful holiday.

We feel a rental car is a must as the Algarve offers so many places to visit. The close surrounding area boasts a lot of extremely good restaurants and we were spoiled for choice when it came to eating. Our favourite restaurants were Il Carpaccio (only 500yds from the complex). The Wolf Restaurant (in Carvoeiro town) and Hexagone (2km from the complex) on the road to Ferragudo. All the above were not too expensive but worth every penny.

Kevin's interaction with us was first class and we have no problem in recommending this lovely apartment to all. We hope to return here next year. (Kevin, we will be in touch in January)

Amazing Family Holiday

We have stayed around this area a few times on our family holidays to Portugal, but this has to be one of the best. The accommodation was clean and bright, with everything you need. The views over the pools are delightful and our 6 year old couldn't wait to get in them every morning. The complex itself has a real community feel and everyone was really friendly. The tennis club next door was perfect for a morning coffee, or snack at lunch.

I would say that a car is essential for trips into the village, the beach and supermarket, but all only a few minutes drive away.

All in all it has been one of our best holidays and I can not recommend this villa enough. Kevin the owner was also really friendly and helpful.

Beautiful Place

My wife, 2 children & I had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, clean & spacious apartment. The pool was clean & the gardens are well kept. The views from the balcony & roof terrace were fantastic.

The complex is private & secure. It is about 25mins walk from the centre of town, with many restaurants and eateries on the way. A wonderful beach when you get to town. Lots of sightseeing for the more adventurous.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would definitely recommend this apartment & surrounding area for a holiday. We can't thank Kevin & Nicola enough for their help in our wonderful stay.

Relaxing Break

My husband , 2 children & I stayed at this beautiful apartment that sits within a small well maintained complex. The apartment is well equipped & is tastefully decorated. The balconies off the kitchen & living room overlook the pool & spacious gardens. The pool is lovely & clean & not overcrowded ; we visited in mid July. The apartment is about a 25 minute walk to the centre of town, you may choose to rent a car, we did not, but used taxis when required that were not expensive. This was a great holiday, would recommend to others, & the owners Nicola & Kevin could no have been more helpful!!!

Car: recommended

Special interest holidays:

The complex is located across the road from the Carvoeiro Tennis Club. It is one of the best tennis centres on the Algarve with all weather courts and a tennis school. There are also excellent mini-tennis courts. Other facilities include free wifi, a swimming pool, hairdresser, gym, sauna, restaurant & bar.


The apartment is only a few minutes drive away from a number of idyllic golden sandy beaches in the area.


The apartment is only 40 minutes drive from Faro airport. Car hire is recommended to fully appreciate this beautiful part of the Algarve.


The village of Sesmarias is a 10 minute walk away with a mini market, bars and restaurants. There are a number of restaurants & bars within easy walking distance of the apartment. Carvoeiro centre can be reached on foot in about 20-25 minutes or a few minutes by car. It provides a full range of facilities including restaurants, bars, shops, banks, supermarkets, beach & pharmacy.
