Beautiful Villa, Playa Blanca - 2 Minutes Walk from Restaurants, Shops and Coastal Walk

A luxury 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa (sleeps 5) on Faro Park, Playa Blanca. The villa is very close to the coast and is located in the most popular part of Faro Park, Calle Irlanda, a short walk from local shops and fantastic restaurants. We have a full UK TV package including BBC, ITV, and all Sky sports and movies. WiFi is optional. And we even have a high quality accoustic guitar available for musicians, on request. It is ideal for families who are looking for a really relaxing holiday and offers the tranquillity that is not readily found in the built-up established tourist resorts such as Puerto del Carmen and Costa Teguise. Fully furnished and equipped to a very high standard, the interior of the villa offers classic Spanish architecture with its combination of granite and marble tiling throughout, providing stunning results and a cool airy feeling. The villa is fitted with charming shutters with integral mosquito nets that guarantee a peaceful night's sleep! The electrically heated pool is set in a large sun terrace with four luxurious sun loungers. There is a shaded dining area and another teak table and chairs overlooking the swimming pool and beautiful garden. There is a car parking space to the side of the property.

Hello! We are Mark and Suzanne Barwick. We are the proud owners of this fantastic villa in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote.

We rented the villa a number of times ourselves over the years and it was always our favourite. We couldn't believe our luck when it came on the market at the time we were looking to buy.

We have two girls - Hannah and Emily. I work in Financial Services and Suzanne is a Carer.

You won't be disappointed!

We arrived really late on the Saturday night but was so pleased to see tea/coffee/sugar/ etc waiting for us! The villa was lit up and very welcoming. Everything was there just like home. Plenty of variety of books and loads of DVD's. About 2 minute walk from villas are two supermarkets and a mix of eateries. Do Not come home without trying 'Port of Call'. You must book because it is so popular. The food is freshly prepared and cooked for you. A very relaxing restaurant, not expensive but with a bit of class. The lighthouse cafe is good also. Yummy donuts from the French patisserie! A car is a must if you wish to go further afield but plently on Faro Park if you need a really relaxing holiday. Will definitely return if there are any free weeks next year.

A fantastic villa!

This villa is a real find! It's well kitted out, spacious and nicely presented. The pictures don't do it justice! It is in a nice, safe and quiet residential area with a few shops and restaurants about a 2 minute walk away. The biggest problem we had was trying to get the kids out of the pool!

We hired a car which I personally feel is necessary. Mark recommended a hire company who were also fantastic. Lanzarote is a really interesting island and we had a great time exploring - cueva de los verdes was a particular favourite. Playa de papagayo is also worthy of a trip - don't let the horrible dirt track put you off.

This was my first time booking a villa through owners direct and Mark couldn't have been better. He emails you right away and gives great directions! I had my bond back straight away.

I'd highly recommend this villa - hopefully we will be back again one day!

Viva la villa Fortuna

On arrival the villa smelt very clean and fresh and there was fresh flowers and towel art on all of the beds (the little touches really do make a difference) There was a great welcome pack perfect for an ever hungry 5 year old.. Oh and bottle of wine which his parents were grateful for! The kitchen has everything you could need to cook a meal. There is a new shower room with a fantastic walk in shower as well as an en suite bathroom.

The outdoor covered dining are is great as even if it's windy outside there isn't even a whisper of draft. The garden day bed is simply divine and I defy any one to be able to move from it once ensconced whilst the kids play in the great pool. Overall a fab villa which is clearly a well loved family home for the owners who are very lucky indeed. (We are already booked for next year!)

Fantastic villa

Fantastic villa, spotlessly clean in a lovely area 2 minute walk to a small supermarket and some lovely bars and restaurants the pool and alfresco dining area are great. We used buses which are regular and cheap enough and walked into Playa Blanca ,we enjoyed our week so much that we are returning again in July with our family unfortunately this villa was fully booked but found one identical just a few minutes away, communication with Mark was excellent and we hope to return in the near future

The Perfect Villa for a relaxing holiday......

A fantastic Villa. Scrupulously cleaning airy. Excellent communication from Mark the owner throughout. A welcome pack in the Villa on arrival was excellent with everything you need for the first night and day. The Villa in less than a 2 minute walk away from a small row of shops and restaurants which stock and serve everything you could need. The pool is deliciously warm and a real joy to use. A pretty sheltered garden too which is always good on such a windy island. Comfy sunbeds with a couple of tables too......always good for your beer and wine ! The villa is presented very well and decorated very tastefully. Overall if you want a quiet villa but near enough to walk to a bar and restaurant and that has everything you could need then this is the one for you. We have stayed on Faro Park many times but this is the best Villa out of them all. If you have a car its well worth a trip up to the North of the island to a small village called Haria. A great restaurant in the centre and lots of small quaint streets and cafes to visit. Lanzarote is a beautiful island and Casa De Fortuna is a beautiful Villa ! We WILL be back !!

A lovely stay in Casa de Fortuna

We were very impressed with the peaceful setting and lovely facilities of this villa. The sunny patio,pool and poolside seating combined with the excellent facilities in the spacious interior made our holiday most enjoyable this January.

The owners have thought of everything, it is comfortable and very quiet.

We were delighted with the proximity of a beautiful coast path with outstanding views as well as a good assortment of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Faro Park is a very quiet and well-maintained development. We felt so lucky to be there and would love to return ! Communication with the owners was excellent at every stage of the booking process. We strongly recommend Casa de Fortuna and Playa Blanca.

Location

We chose to buy a villa in Playa Blanca because we feel that this is the most beautiful and peaceful part of the island. The scenery is stunning with breath-taking views of the volcanic mountains, the rugged coastline and the nearby beautiful beaches of Playa Flamingo and Playa Dorada. You can also reach the famous Papagayo beaches in just 20 minutes. Our villa is only a 30 minute drive from the airport at Arrecife, which is ideal and the town of Playa Blanca and the Marina Rubicon, with their many fine restaurants and shops, are only a 5 minute drive from the villa. All in all, it is a quiet, unspoilt and well planned centre for relaxing and seeing the rest of the island.

Nearest Airport : Arrecife at 28 Kilometres Nearest Ferry : Playa Blanca at 4 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Playa Flamingo at 2 Kilometres Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

The rugged coastline is only 2 minutes walk from our villa and there is a block-paved path which goes right round the coastline. The nearest beach, Playa Flamingo, is about 2kms away and can be reached either on foot or by car. Playa Blanca's local beach, Playa Dorada, is about 5 minutes drive away and then there are the beautiful Papagayo beaches which are within 15 minutes drive. There is plenty of opportunity for safe swimming and snorkelling. Diving and water sports are also possible.

Travel:

The airport at Arrecife is only 30 minutes drive away from our villa and we will send you detailed instructions as to how to arrive at our villa from the airport. The use of a hired car is recommended as there is so much to see in Lanzarote and the roads are excellent to drive on. We can put you in touch with a very good car hire company that we use ourselves each time we come to Lanzarote.

Distances:

Playa Blanca with its fine restaurants and shops is only 5 minutes drive away from our villa and Puerto del Carmen, which has a busy nightlife, if you wish, is only about 20 minutes drive away. Timanfaya National Park is also about 30 minutes by car and to travel from the south of the island to the north would probably only take you about 90 minutes.

Further Details:

There is a lovely little parade of shops which is only 2 minutes walk from the villa. There are 2 supermarkets which will provide you with all the day-to-day essentials, and some good restaurants, coffee shops and bars. The nearest bank is only 5 minutes drive in Playa Blanca. Just up the road there is the Rubicon Palace Hotel which welcomes non-resident guests and there the food is excellent and the entertainment afterwards is high quality and free. The Marina Rubicon is bursting with lovely restaurants and shops and there are some fine boats to admire whilst you sit and relax at the waters edge.

Booking Notes:
We ask for a 40% deposit on booking (50% if booking via the 'Book now' option, set by Owners Direct) and the remainder, including a £100 refundable damage liability deposit 8 weeks ahead of your stay.

Some of our guests don't require WiFi so we have made it optional - charged at £25 per week. It can be requested when booking or any time up until your visit. It will usually be added to your balance payment eight weeks ahead of your stay, but can also be paid for separately after that time.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is flexible. Check-in time is 3pm and checkout time is 10am, although we will always try to be flexible if we are able. A complimentary 'Welcome Pack' including wine and other essentials is provided.

Notes on prices:
Prices shown are for the property per week in UK Pounds based on 2 people sharing. For each additional person please add an extra £50 per person. The 5th person will only be charged an extra £30 for use of a high quality 'Z'-bed. Please note that there is no charge for children under the age of 5. Discounts will be considered for longer Winter lets.

The villa is on a corner plot and benefits from having more land than most others and thus a beautiful, established, landscaped garden. We have furnished and maintain the villa and private heated pool to a very high standard. The villa also benefits from charming shutters with integral mosquito nets to guarantee a peaceful and cool night's sleep! We have tried to add those extra little things to our villa so that it becomes a home for our guests rather than just a holiday rental. We feel that we have achieved this but please 'come and stay' and see for yourself!

  • Notes on accommodation: We have provided a high quality heater for warming up the rooms if necessary during the cooler winter months and 2 portable fans for the hottest summer months. We also have a selection of books and games for all ages. Any additional baby/young children's equipment can be hired at a small additional charge. A hair drier is also there for your use. Outside: The villa has its own private electrically heated swimming pool set in a lovely, large, tiled sun terrace. It measures approximately 8m x 4m and is around 1.7m deep in the centre. Access to the pool is via roman steps. There is a solar pool cover which helps to maintain the temperature of the water. The pool is serviced twice a week to ensure that the water is always in peak condition and it has the benefit of underwater lighting for that warm swim at dusk while the BBQ slowly cooks your evening meal. You have the choice of either eating at the large outside dining table or at the teak table overlooking the swimming pool. The villa has been fitted with charming shutters with integral mosquito nets. This means that you can enjoy the beauty of the very well-stocked garden before retiring for a cool and peaceful nights sleep. Utility Room: There is a separate utility room with washing machine and airer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and bed linen are provided and changed weekly. (Beach towels are not provided). The villa is cleaned before each visit and every two weeks for longer stays. Extra cleans can be arranged for a small charge. Other: There is a lovely outside, shaded dining area with a large teak table overlooking the garden. A BBQ is also provided for your use.
