Villa between Pollensa and Alcudia town.

Very quiet Villa ideal for families and groups of friends, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 6 people with WiFi included

The villa is set in the countryside just 4 km from the town of Alcudia, and 6 km from Pollensa, in both populations find everything you need for your holiday, shops, bars, restaurants, medical centre, etc. The house of 200 m2 is located on a plot of 21,000 m2, the area of the house and garden is completely fenced and closed with a barrier. It is a very quiet and sunny with beautiful views of the distant mountains of Formentor and Puig de Maria.

The house consists of 2 levels, on the ground floor there is the entrance with the staircase leading to the first floor. Just on the right, preserving the rustic style kitchen with beautiful tile green and ochre, has gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, as well as the tools needed to cook at home. In the same there is a pantry with washing machine. kitchen leads directly to a covered porch. From the entrance also enter to the living and dining room, fully equipped with sofas, table and chairs for 6, satellite TV, and DVD. From the dining room also access to a bedroom (equipped with 2 single beds 0.90 cm wide, and a bathroom equipped with a large shower, bidet, toilet and sink.

The living room leads to the covered porch and on the other side to the garden area and pool access.

On the first floor there is a distributor, in front we have a large bright bedroom with nice views, equipped with a king size bed and en suite bathroom equipped with tub, bidet, toilet and sink wardrobe. To the left is the second double bedroom equipped with 2 single beds 0.90 cm wide with en suite bathroom, equipped with bath, bidet, wc and washbasin. To the right a large loft that makes the times of second lounge with a sofa bed, from the same there is an exit to a terrace.

The whole house has central heating (depending on season), and also the bedrooms have air conditioning cold I heat. There is also wifi throughout the house, and has cot and high chair.

The exterior of the house, consists of a porch with patio furniture, a covered area with a pergola equipped with table and chairs to enjoy meals outdoors, it also has a barbecue. A spacious garden with lawn, trees and native plants complete the exterior. Pool square and raised slightly (as a former pool I used) is accessed from the garden via a few steps, with a solarium on one side with space for sun beds and surrounded by hedges on the other, It is making it a very pleasant and intimate venue.

The house is very bright and enjoys plenty of privacy; all rooms are exterior, with beautiful views of the countryside and distant mountains.

Tranquility

Villa Vertent is an absolutely delightful two storey villa, totally surrounded by fields yet totally private. It is provided with all the facilities you would want. The rooms are spacious, and with the shutters open are light and airy. The description of the property is completely accurate with every where clean and tidy. The owner and his wife go out of their way to ensure you have an enjoyable stay and are just a phone call away should you need them.

Whilst the villa is in a rural setting Pollensa is a mere 7km away and the old walled town of Alcudia about 6km away providing an opportunity to stroll through their narrow streets and get a taste of the old Majorca. Both these towns have a wide selection of restaurants for dining out.

A car is essential which will enable you to explore more of the island but you will soon return for the sheer delight and peacefulness of Villa Vertent.

This was our second visit to Majorca but to properties owned by the same person.

I cannot recommend Villa Vertent highly enough, just perfect.

Biking, hiking and bird watching takes over the normal summer tourism in the coldest months. Then the cyclists take the opportunity to train with professionals who use this region in the north of the island as a training camp to prepare for the Tour de France.

March and April see the island used as a starting point for migratory birds stop and attracts many birdwatchers who come to see a number of unusual species including black vulture are breeding in the Valley within walking distance Ternelles from the city. It is also near the nature reserve of Albufereta, which is home to many species of birds.

There are also plenty of excursions to the coastal areas and in the mountains to walk. Along with the celebrations and festivals throughout the year the city can really offer something for the entire year. There are many water sports available on the nearby beaches of Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia.

Costa Beach:

The beautiful beaches of Cala Sant Vicence and the sandy beaches of Puerto Pollensa or Puerto de Alcudia are within 15 km ,10km and 5 km away. Also nearby it is a little further north is one of the most picturesque beaches of the Mediterranean, the beach of Formentor (once used in the Bounty ads). This can be reached by ferry from Puerto Pollensa or road within 15 minutes, making a spectacular tour with breath taking views on the way through the wind roads.

Travel:

Pollensa is a 45-minute drive from Palma Airport. Alcudia Bay is about 10 minutes by car. Sa Pobla, which is about 10 minutes by car, train access to the centre of Palma, where a train can take you to more Soller on the famous line from narrow gauge railway. The cave of Campanet are a "must see" and are about 15 minutes from home by car.

Puerto Pollensa and Puerto Alcudia are 10 and 5 km.

There is a taxi stand near the main square and a local bus service throughout the year.

Pollensa is famous for its Sunday market where you can buy almost anything from fresh local produce memories.

The most northern foothills of the Sierra de Tramuntana are the backdrop of the Mallorcan town of Pollença. The town has a medieval old town which is just a few kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea. This city, in the shadow of the mountains of Puig de Pollença and Calvari, has managed to preserve intact its personality, despite being only a short distance from the bustle of the beach. Pollensa has been a preferred destination of painters and artists since the beginning of this century destination. Here, the cultural and artistic life never stops. The main square with its cafes and chic restaurants is the hub of the towns unique charm. There are a lot of art galleries and museums. For most of the year you can enjoy a variety of musical events and fiestas among which the most famous are those that take place in the cloister of Santo Domingo. The town is open all year round with walkers, cyclists and bird watchers taking over from the summer tourists in the cooler months.
