About Gerald Magee

We live in Ireland with a family of 5. We loved Algarve from the first time we visited by chance back in 2002 (not with a view to purchase). At that time we were so impressed with the friendliness of the people and the quality of the restaurants and, having 3 children at the time, all under 14, thought it would be a perfect place for them to enjoy and to grow into. Since taking completion in 2004 the children have since enjoyed many holidays there. Now older, they have ventured on their own holidays, but have decided this year to return with their partners, and children would openly admit to it being far superior to any package type holiday they might have since encountered.

The older "children" of course go with their children' who are now "growing into it".

Why Gerald Magee chose Loule region

The location is excellent being only 15-20 mins from Faro airport. The complex is well maintained, relaxing and quiet, yet only a 5 min taxi ride into the fabulous Marina at Vilamoura with its numerous restaurants and bars. A similar journey has you in Quartiera, and, with it's superb beach promenade (bustling in the summer with various local craft stalls and festivals) we feel it is a great family evening out. Whilst only a 5 minutes drive from Vilamoura Quarteira is very reasonably priced for eating out

The communal aspect of the complex is ideal for children, they can play many outdoor games yet at the same time the area is large enough that you don't find the play intrusive. We have over the years made so many friends who are also neighbours, we always look forward to returning.

What makes this apartment unique

There are 3 swimming pools (1 heated) plus 2 children's pools. Numerous golf courses are within a 10 minute drive, water park 1 km away) and, completed in 2008 the Vila Sol shopping area with a general store 3 restaurants, Deli-France coffee shop, newsagents, local pub (serving bar food), bank and the Vila Sol Spa, all within 300 mtrs.



Nearest beach is about 5 minute drive away. Vila Sol has its own beach club near Quinta Do Lago with an on site restaurant and is serviced by a shuttle bus during the summer months. Here you can also have the benefit of a number of water sports activities if you feel the need.

Relax around any one of three main pools with soft loungers, childrens pool, jacuzzi and poolside cafe/bar with dinning facilities are also at your convenience. Within a distance of 300mtrs there is an on site supermarket, 2 restaurants, Deli-France coffee shop, Oscars traditional Pub, bank and the Vila Sol Spa and shopping area.
