This low-rise development is just five minutes from beautiful blue flag beaches at La Zenia and Cabo Roig, and three superb golf courses. Close to Murcia and Alicante airports. The apartment is just a short stroll to a fantastic local plaza with over 20 bars, restaurants and a host of facilities and amenities including English speaking doctor. The apartment is ideal for families and small golfing groups and is available all year round.

About the Owner

Both owners are Nottingham based families and we purchased this property whilst under construction in 2004. We try to get out to Spain 3 -4 times a year to chill out and to continually improve the property for our own comfort and for our guests. It is a second home for us and we just love being out here!

Fantastic apartment in quiet residential area.

We arrived late at night but that wasn't a problem for the agents, they ensured we had some electricity and clear instructions where to find the key, the apartment was spotlessly clean, with all the facilities you need, it was home from home, apart from the British weather.

The pool was larger then we expected, big enough for 4 adults on inflatables, very clean and attractive garden, plenty of seating by the pool and on the veranda.

We used the large communal pool once, which again had plenty of sun beds, which is a bonus as usually communal pools in other places of VillaMartin don't have.

A short stroll to the lovely plaza where there is lots of restaurants to choose from, also a great supermarket, not very big but has all you would need, further afield heading towards la Zena is Dialaprix supermarket, which has the best meat selections for barbecues, must try the pork kebabs, yummy.

The apartment is in a quiet residential area with great neighbours, making it a lovely community to stay in.

I highly recommend this apartment and will be returning again soon, ( already planning next trip back ) if a second shower room is added that will be a bonus to an already perfect holiday home.

Plenty of information in the folder provided, has a telly, DVD, satalite tv, but we didn't need it as spent our nights relaxing on the veranda.

One petty thing to change is the pool net, large holes so not really fit for purpose, but otherwise a great stay all round.

Excellent facilities and location. A must return.

Firstly I must say the property was absolutely spotless and in excellent condition with all the facilities and equipment you could wish for. The pool is larger than you imagine and provides a superb extra rarely found in similar properties in the area. As regular visitors to Villamartin we know pools this size are rare

The location is excellent. Only a leisurely 10 minute stroll to the plaza with other bars and restaurants nearer than that.

We cannot fault this property and will return again.

Very nice apartment, I will go again!

This is a lovely apartment that is in a good location. We are very regular visitors to this area so it really suited us! The private pool is quite an asset and you also have a communal pool if you need it. It is on the ground floor with a large area so you can relax outside and use the BBQ etc. Normally with an apartment you just get a balcony.

Good Points, Good location, private pool, well equipped. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the local agents are very nice people.

Not so good points, I think the apartment is due a bit of a freshen up in terms of decor and furniture. A huge bonus would be a second WC and shower. This is fairly straight forward job and I understand is on the owners "to do" list. Please don't be put off by this as I understand the work is due to be done over this winter.

I was not a fan of the metered electricity for 2 reasons, firstly I expect the price I pay to include everything and secondly we put 10€ in and I think only used 1€ as we did not use the aircon. We filled the meter as we were concerned that we might run out whilst we were out or run out in the night. We had bought a lot of food and needed the fridge and freezer to keep working.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback. We do indeed plan to put in a second shower and wc and and this will take place early next spring after our winter guest has departed. Electric meters are an unfortunate reality as previously we experienced some very high bills through the aircon system occasionally being left on night and day in the hot periods even when guests were out of the apartment. We try to keep the rental price competitive for the facilities we offer and pay as you go for electricity helps us achieve this. .

Fantastic Apartment

From start to finish a thoroughly fantastic holiday, which was due to the excellent accommodation.

The property has obviously been well maintained and to a very high standard, equally with the garden and pool area.

The property was welcoming and was very well equipped, the facilities as described at the Plaza are just a short walk away and the La Zenia centre is only a short drive.

Villa Martin is ideally suited for access to the N332 which is the coastal road accessed from Alicante airport, therefor no tolls to pay.

We enjoy visiting surrounding areas, lots of villages and towns to see within a 20 min drive.

We had no problems what so ever in the apartment but the owners had left an excellent folder including any information you could possibly need.

Can't rave about this property enough.

Lovely apartment

A really lovely apartment which was clean & well maintained. It has 2 large bedrooms both with twin beds & a bed settee in the lounge so quite big enough to accommodate 6 people comfortably. There is a large kitchen with table & chairs, microwave, electric oven & hob, dish washer, fridge freezer and a washing machine is housed in the utility room through the kitchen. There is also a clean & inviting pool in the garden albeit a bit too cold in February for us to use!! There are some wonderful restaurants in the Plaza (took us about 20 mins to walk there) which cater to all tastes. Although there is no wifi in the apartment I walked up to Chadwicks Cafe in the Plaza most mornings for an english breakfast (very cheap!) and used their free wifi so I was able walk off the calories from the breakfast on the way back!! We had friends in the local area who took us out & about in their car but I think you need a vehicle to properly appreciate the area & the stunning beaches nearby. All in all a very enjoyable holiday and we would highly recommend this apartment to family & friends.

From the Owner

The Orihuela Costa has the most stunning beaches, literally hundreds of excellent restaurants and bars and is a readily accessible destination from both Alicante and Murcia airports. It offers golf at reasonably priced courses, home from home comforts and facilities or the traditional Spanish experience if you go into the bustling coastal town of Torrevieja or the hilltop villages inland from the coast. It literally has something for everyone.

Activity and Interests


The apartment is located just 4km inland from some of the most beautiful sandy beaches on the Costa's. Blue flag, supervised beaches and picturesque coves at La Zenia, Cabo Roig and Campoamor are family friendly, and a 10 minute drive from the apartment. There is a marina at Cabo Roig.


Murcia and Alicante Airports are 15 and 35 miles respectively from Villamartin. Most of the budget airlines fly to these destinations. Car hire is available from the airports or we can organise for you to be met by a driver, who will transport you to and/or from) your accommodation. Please ask for details. A car is recommended for getting about but not essential. Taxis are available at the Villamartin Plaza and the fare down to the coast is around 7 Euros.


The nearest town, and traditional spanish coastal resort of Torrevieja is just 12kms and the cathedral city of Murcia less than 50kms from Villamartin. There are inland country parks, protected coastal environments and a wide range of local activities such as ten pin bowling and the water park at Torrevieja and the Go-Karts at La Zenia.

Further Details:

The Plaza at Villamartin is a short stroll and has a wide variety of restaurants, shops, banks, doctors, pharmacy and foodstores. There are hypermarkets, shops, restaurants, bars and night clubs on the coast road at La Zenia along with the Tourist Information Office. Nearby Torrevieja has a huge modern shopping complex with plenty of free parking.

The property is one of few two bedroom apartments to benefit from its own private pool and beautiful terraced garden and so is an affordable luxury. The setting is a tranquil residential environment yet within 10 minutes walk is the lively and safe Villamartin Plaza. Our apartment is somewhere you can chill out in the sun during the day and then prepare for your night out wondering which of the 20+ local restaurants you will stroll to and whether your late night entertainment will be to listen to the live music in Shandon Bells, dance with the youngsters in Cafe Rock, or make you own music in the karaoke bars till the early hours. After that it is just a nice downhill stroll back to our comfy apartment - what more could you want ? Satellite TV ? - well that is thrown in as well!
