A smart, spacious 1-bedroom apartment in the lovely Mare Verde resort complex. This is a very convenient location - shops, restaurants are only a few hundred metres away and it's just a 10-minute walk to the beach. The apartment itself is superbly positioned. The living room opens out onto a large south-facing balcony and the view from here has got to be the best in the whole complex. The balcony enjoys sunshine from mid morning until late evening and because this is an upper (1st floor) apartment, it also gets a nice cool breeze. An ideal spot for sunbathing or just chilling out.

Notes on accommodation: The apartment has satellite TV, offering British TV channels including BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Channel 4. There is also a DVD player and assorted DVDs. If you want to bring your laptop, there is now a wireless broadband facility available at the Mare Verde community office at a very reasonable rate. Outside: Mare Verde is set in the distinctive style of an Andalucian village. There are six swimming pools that are linked by a series of bridges and mini waterfalls to create a cascading chain running through the middle of the complex. There's a pool bar offering friendly service and good food & drinks at very reasonable prices. Wi-fi internet access is also available. Utility Room: Ironing board and iron. Also a folding clothes rack for drying or airing. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Clean towels and linen are provided and changed on a weekly basis. Check in after 14.30 hrs and check out 10.00 hrs (we can be flexible when possible). Other: The spacious balcony has a table and four chairs and a large sun umbrella if required. There's also an electric griddle if you want to barbeque.

Arrived on the Friday Night apartment was very easy to find from directions given , lovely apartment clean and tidy easy access across the TF1 motorway to the main super market which is good value and with plenty of choice .

The view from the balcony was fantastic and being able to just chill in the afternoon with the best part of the days sun raining down on us was just what we wanted beautiful clean pools looked after every day only fault was the beds being tied up and having to wait till the life guard came round to get one (@1 euro 50 per day?) , Wayne & Karen who run the bar just downstairs were really nice and helpful to .

there is a great bar across the street called The Pub run by Tony and great quiz night on every night ran by Jimmy the Fish if you like a laugh and good join in entertainment give it a go. this was the first time my wife and i have done this type of Holiday instead of a hotel and will not be going back to hotels again looking to book up here again for next year and bring our kids with then ( all adults now )so we need more apartments overall a fantastic holiday in a fantastic apartment in a fantastic venue .

Fantastic Holiday

We have just returned from yet another great holiday. This was our 5th year in the same apartment. Fantastic views great balcony for relaxing on. Each year we go there is something new been done in the apartment, eg new floor, boiler,TV. We have used the oven with no problems. We have just booked again for yet another 3.5 weeks cant wait.

Not our cup of tea

Very disappointed with accommodation I.e. furniture, bedding, oven door did not close so we did not use it. Bath towels were very tatty. Ants in kitchen and in bathroom sink.

About The Owner

Huw and Diane. I work for an education and training provider in London and my wife Diane is a nurse. I've worked overseas for most of my life and we both love to travel. Tenerife has been our favourite place ever since our first visit in 2003. We liked it so much that we bought the apartment just six months later! We both like sunshine and the outdoor way of life. We also enjoy good food (especially seafood!) and a glass or two of good wine, so Tenerife is just perfect.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2004

Why The Owner chose Costa Adeje

The all-year-round warm climate is what first drew us to Tenerife and being able to go to the beach in December or play golf (in shorts!) in February is fantastic. But there's much more to Tenerife than just beaches and golf courses and whenever we visit we like to explore the mountains or some of the tiny coves and villages around the coast. We chose the Torviscas area because it's got everything you need on a holiday all within easy reach. Beach, shops, restaurants, bars...it's all there. At the same time though, it's just far enough out of the "main drag" that you can find peace and quiet when you need it. We looked at a lot of complexes before buying our apartment and Mare Verde was the one that stood out because of its unique character, its friendliness and its perfect location.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is really airy, spacy and cool and that's so important, especially in summer. We're really fortunate in having the prime spot in the whole complex, which means a front terrace looking right out over the entire length of the pool area, with the sea in the background. We like to sit out there for breakfast in the morning before the sun comes round, or for baked dorada (sea bream) or shrimps and a glass of wine in the evening, just watching the sun going down.

The beach at Playa Fanabe is just a 10-minute walk. A tiled walkway runs along the beachfront, following the coast from Los Cristianos all the way to Caleta. This has always been a very popular stroll at all times of the year, and the recently completed section along Costa Adeje is really spectacular.


Tenerife South airport is about 20 minutes away and the taxi fare is about €25. With shops, restaurants etc being so close at hand here, you probably won't need a car but if you want to explore the island (and yes, there's PLENTY to see!) rental rates are quite reasonable e.g. €120/week for a Ford KA or Punto. There are plenty of organised trips too. You may want to see the lanscape of Mt. Teide, enjoy a boat trip along the coast to Los Gigantes or take a ferry over to the island of La Gomera.

Just up the road is the new Grand Sur shopping complex featuring a large Mercadona supermarket where you can buy any provisions you'll need. The nearby Siam Park is the newest in Europe and has been earning rave reviews from waterpark fans. Also close by is the Aquapark, where the dolphin show is highly recommended.
